Hello, my name is Pamela, and I am the founder of Baby Blessings Doula & Lactation Specialist in Santa Barbara, CA. With over 30 years of experience as a pediatric nurse, along with certification as a Lactation Specialist and a DONA-trained Birth/Postpartum Doula, I have had the privilege of supporting over 160 families through childbirth and beyond. As a mother of four wonderful children and a grandmother to three precious grandbabies, I truly understand the transformative journey of parenthood. It is my personal calling to empower women to embrace their strength during this sacred and life-changing time. I believe in holding space for mothers and their families in a way that fosters safety, security, and confidence. My passion lies in providing unwavering support to mothers, babies, siblings, and partners during the postpartum period. My mission is to ensure that every family I work with feels cared for, heard, and deeply supported throughout this beautiful journey. If you are looking for a compassionate and experienced doula to guide and support you through your pregnancy and postpartum experience, I would be honored to work with you.
Like most men, I probably had no idea what a doula did. After meeting with Pamela, I learned quite a bit and felt comfortable in having her be a part of our birth experience. I was able to be there for my wife emotionally and Pamela took care of everything else. She supported my wife in a way that I couldn't have. I have no idea how we could have done it without her. She was the true MVP that day. I can't thank her enough. Her experience as a nurse was super helpful. We will hire her again for our next pregnancy!

Hello My name is Marlene Solorio I fully and wholeheartedly trust that you can give birth naturally, because GOD designed women and babies to work together during birth. You are a powerful human and GOD designed you perfectly. So deep down inside you know exactly what to do. I love helping moms find the confidence to birth autonomously through education and empowerment. After my 3 unnecessary cesareans, I decided to become a doula. When I found out I was pregnant with my 4th I told myself I was going to have a natural birth, even though every doctor and midwife in my area told me I couldn't. And boy did I prove them wrong with my VBA3C. So that's why I'm here, I want to help you have a beautiful empowering birth like I did. I know it's possible because I just did it!
I reached out to Marlene a few months before my planned July birth. She was wonderful from the beginning, providing me with information and also supporting my personal choices with the birth. In the end, I had to have an induction due to unforeseen medical issues. Marlene was responsive via text, which I appreciated and was necessary as the baby came within 24 hours. It was late when I texted her that the baby was coming, and thankfully, she responded right away. She came quickly and was there for the active labor portion of the birth. I appreciated her support and advocacy very much. Afterward, she provided postpartum support, which was invaluable as it allowed me time to catch up on sleep. She also created a beautiful artprint of my placenta and also created a resin umbilical cord ornament that will be a treasured memory for years to come. Marlene is wonderful, and I highly recommend her.

Brittney has been a child care provider for over 15 years and believes the birthing mother should be able to give birth on her terms without a bunch of unnecessary medication and procedures.
I was able to get rest and I felt confident she knew what she was doing. She was on time, trustworthy, easy to be around, and personable.

Hi there, I'm Nikki Avila — and I’m so glad you’re here! Supporting pregnant mamas, surrogacy carriers, and intended parents has been a heartfelt calling for me over the years. Whether you’re growing your own family or supporting someone else’s journey, I’m here to walk alongside you with care, education, and genuine advocacy. The fact that you’ve landed here means you're looking for meaningful support—and I’m honored to be part of your path. My love for birth work runs deep. There’s something magical about holding space for birthing families, and it brings me so much joy to know you’re seeking the kind of support that truly makes a difference. In 2018, I felt called to take my passion further and began training with several doula organizations. I intentionally sought programs that prioritized inclusivity, diversity, and continued mentorship even after certification. I studied both birth and postpartum care, knowing that the journey doesn’t start or stop at birth — it’s all part of a powerful, transformative process. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting over 25 VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) clients, and I’m also a certified VBAC Instructor. VBAC journeys hold a special place in my heart — they’re often layered with both hope and healing, and I love helping birthing people feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. Early in my career, I kept thinking back to one of the first births I attended — a mama who was calm, in control, and so connected to her body. She told me she used a method called Hypnobabies, and that moment stuck with me. Eventually, I found my way to the program myself, and in 2021, I became a Certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Instructor and Hypno-Doula after 40 hours of in-person training. It was a game changer. Hypnobabies has completely transformed how I support families. It blends deep hypnosis techniques with evidence-based education and a powerful mindset shift. It’s designed for anyone who wants a more comfortable, confident, and peaceful birth. And the best part? It works — especially when you commit to the practice. The daily homework and listening tracks are essential, but the reward is a birthing experience rooted in calm and strength. If you’re curious whether Hypnobabies is the right fit, I offer free consultations to explore your options. And if it's not your vibe? No worries! I also teach other childbirth classes tailored to different birth preferences and styles. Every birthing journey is unique, and you deserve education and support that feels right for you. So let’s connect! I’d love to meet with you (and your support person) to learn more about your vision for birth and help you find the tools and resources that align with your goals. Whether you’re preparing for a VBAC, exploring Hypnobabies, or simply seeking someone to walk this path with you — I’m here, and I’m so excited to support you. 💛 Let’s discover what your ideal birth journey looks like — together.

My name is Lauren. I am a passionate birth worker and postpartum support person dedicated to aiding families on their incredible journey into parenthood. My own transformative experience during labor and postpartum inspired me to embark on this meaningful path, shaping my commitment to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to birthing individuals and their partners. As someone who took every measure to prepare for an empowered birth, only to face unexpected twists and turns, I understand the profound impact that labor can have on one's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This personal journey fueled my determination to become a doula, ensuring that no one navigates this transformative experience alone. I bring to my practice not only professional training and expertise but a genuine understanding of the emotional and physical complexities of childbirth and early parenthood. My goal is to be more than just a doula; I am here to be your advocate, confidante, and unwavering support system. Whether you are expecting your first child or adding to your beautiful family, I am dedicated to being IN IT with you. It would be an honor to join you on this incredible adventure, offering the support (mind, body, spirit), knowledge, and compassionate care you deserve.
Lauren was an absolute lifesaver throughout my wife and I's birthing experience. It was our first time and we really wanted to dive head first into educating ourselves about everything that had to do with giving birth and having a child. Lauren was so helpful with the entire process. She was so informed and educated about anything we brought up or asked questions about, she always had an answer or direction for us. She was so supportive throughout the entire process always being caring with every decision we had come to. She made our labor and delivery such a beautiful experience as well, she showed up at our residence at 2am ready for anything that may have came our way and helped my wife tremendously get to the hospital and ready to birth our baby! Lauren was such a strong powerhouse to have in our presence during it all and we would not have changed a thing, we are so thankful and grateful that we had Lauren by our side every step of the way and we will definitely be contacting Lauren when we have our 2nd!

Felicia was our post partum doula and what a lifesaver she was!! We have twin boys and post partum was not easy. Felicia showed up like Mary Poppins, willing to help in any way, she is knowledgeable about all things from mommy post partum stuff to the baby stuff you didn't know you needed to know. Further more, she is like a baby whisper-our boys instantly took to her and I never had to worry when my boys were being taken care of by Felicia! I literally sighed in review each time Felicia came over!! Oh ya-her lactation cookies are super yummy and worked wonders on my milk supply too!! I highly recommend Felicia for any birthing and doula assistance you may need(pre, birth +post)!

Hi! My name is Madelyn, and I am working on becoming a Certified Full Spectrum Doula. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in becoming a birth worker. I work as a nanny and have loved the career I have established for myself, but am ready to move forward in providing care to mamas and newborns during the prenatal, labor, and postpartum stages. I recently got to experience this with one of my nanny families which ultimately encouraged me to pursue this career professionally.

Medical Nanny * Post-partum Night Nurse & Nanny available for overnight care part-time. I specialize in post-partum infant care, preterm infants, multiples, NICU babies, post-surgical care, medically fragile infants, & all the cute babies in between. I enjoy helping you and your sweet babe bond & enjoy helping families acclimate to life with a new baby. I offer sleep training, breast feeding assistance, bottle feeding, emotional support, & more. I'm a swaddle master & take pride in getting even the fussiest babe to sleep - letting you get your much deserved & necessary rest. They don't call me the Baby Whisperer for nothing! I am First Aid/CPR/BLS/PALS/NRP/STABLE certified & am a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN). I just moved to the North Fresno area and am nannying while I wait for my California NP license to be approved sometime this fall.
Katherine took care of my sweet baby boy Pete from the first night he was discharged from the CVICU after open heart surgery when he was 2 weeks old until he was 6months old. I had always planned to use a night nurse for the first 8-12 weeks because my husband has a stressful demanding job and is a light sleeper. I knew that we wanted help in getting Pete onto a schedule and to help with sleep training. But after his surgery, I just didn't feel comfortable having "just" a nanny watch him. I was so excited and relieved when I found Katherine. Since she is highly trained as a baby nurse with not only CPR but several other certifications, I felt so comfortable from night one that Pete was in great hands. Originally she was only scheduled 2 nights a week with us as we rotated 3 nannies throughout the week, but very quickly I requested she become our primary nanny and she then worked 4-5 nights a week, which was a dream! Katherine is so knowledgeable and caring - she made me feel so at peace with having a baby with medical needs and being able to care for him on my own during the day. I often would write down random baby questions throughout the day and then as soon as she arrived and Pete was asleep, I'd sit down and pepper her with all my concerns and questions. She was magical in holding my hand when needed, encouraging me that I was enough as a mom always, and always took the time to answer and thoroughly explain any questions on any subject I brought up. She was super flexible as well. She came inearly for date nights, stayed late when I had appointments, and I even took her with us on vacation several times in those first 6months. Having her as a second pair of hands was invaluable! I highly recommend Katherine as an infant nanny, especially if you have a newborn! You will not regret it!
