Hi, I’m Lauren — a birth worker devoted to walking alongside families through one of the most powerful transitions of their lives. My path into birth work was shaped by my own deeply transformative pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experience. I prepared thoroughly, trusted my body, and still encountered moments that were unexpected, intense, and humbling. That lived experience changed me — and it’s what informs how I show up for the families I serve today. I bring together evidence-based education, trauma-informed support, and embodied presence to help birthing people feel grounded, informed, and supported — whether they’re planning a medicated hospital birth, an unmedicated birth, or something in between. You don’t need to fit a “type” to work with me. My role isn’t to push an agenda, but to help you feel confident, prepared, and supported in your choices. Over the last year, my practice has deepened through advanced doula training, mentorship, and apprenticeship — including immersive work with Haize Hawke and master-level education focused on physiology, nervous system regulation, advocacy, and the emotional landscape of birth. I’m also the founder of Mycelial Womb, a collective rooted in the understanding that transformation happens best when it’s supported, witnessed, and integrated — much like mycelial networks beneath the forest floor. What tends to stand out to clients is that I’m steady under pressure, deeply attuned, and fully present. I support both the practical and the emotional — helping partners feel confident, navigating medical systems with clarity, and creating space for processing what arises before, during, and after birth. I’m equally comfortable explaining hospital procedures, advocating when needed, holding silence, or helping you find your footing when things feel intense or uncertain. Whether you’re someone who has always felt drawn to birth work — or someone who didn’t know they wanted this level of support until now — my intention is the same: to walk with you, not ahead of you, not over you, but with you, through this threshold. It would be an honor to support you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — with care that is grounded, responsive, and deeply human.

My approach as a birth doula is entirely client-centered. I’m here to understand you, your family, and your unique needs. My goal is to support you in labor, not only as a barrier, but as an extension of you and your family, ensuring you feel educated, honored, and empowered throughout the process. Rather than being a passive participant, you’ll be actively engaged and in the drivers seat of decision making during your birth. My specialty is to work with families and birthing individuals who are eager to utilize the unfathomable superpower of pregnancy to transform their relationship with self and others. We do this through archetypal work, spiritual practice, work around fear, herbal support, and a comprehensive understanding of pregnancy and childbirth - to foster trust, empowerment, and expansion in your life. I support both hospital and home births, and fine tune our sessions to your individualized needs. Unlike other providers you may see occasionally, I meet with you and your family regularly to build a deep connection and trust. I’ll join you as early in labor as you wish and stay by your side through every moment until your baby is born and fed. I’m here as a constant source of support and encouragement, helping you achieve a positive and fulfilling experience before, during, and after birth.
Lauren was an absolute lifesaver throughout my wife and I's birthing experience. It was our first time and we really wanted to dive head first into educating ourselves about everything that had to do with giving birth and having a child. Lauren was so helpful with the entire process. She was so informed and educated about anything we brought up or asked questions about, she always had an answer or direction for us. She was so supportive throughout the entire process always being caring with every decision we had come to. She made our labor and delivery such a beautiful experience as well, she showed up at our residence at 2am ready for anything that may have came our way and helped my wife tremendously get to the hospital and ready to birth our baby! Lauren was such a strong powerhouse to have in our presence during it all and we would not have changed a thing, we are so thankful and grateful that we had Lauren by our side every step of the way and we will definitely be contacting Lauren when we have our 2nd!
