Hello beautiful mama & family! My name is Carmen; I am a mother of two and a Postpartum Doula serving Santa Cruz, CA & surrounding areas. I have experienced the labor & postpartum period both without and with the support of a doula…THIS IS WHY I’M HERE. This unique perspective has graced me with the ability to know how it feels to go through the sacred transition from maiden to mother afraid, exhausted, overwhelmed (we can go on), as well as empowered, safe, supported and dare I say confident. I am here to be of service to you — to hold space for every emotion, help you nourish yourself, assist with newborn care, help around the house, point you in the direction of other local resources; anything you might need to feel held, seen and supported as a new mother. I am currently accepting private pay as well as MEDI-CAL(woot woot!), including MCPs: • Central CA Alliance for Health • Kaiser of Northern CA • HealthNet
Getting a postpartum doula was the best decision ever. Specifically, having Carmen as my doula. She was the additional support I didn’t fully realize I needed until experiencing this beautiful process with her. Bringing new life into the world is no easy task but Carmen helped me through the recovery process in several ways. She was an extra set of hands when needed, she cooked meals for me and she was emotionally supportive. She provided me with self care tips that I was able to implement during a time that I found it hard to make time for myself. When becoming a mom, so much of yourself, both mentally and physically, is dedicated to your new baby. Carmen made sure that I was also taken care of. She helped me enter this newest chapter of my life with tools and support to care for not only my baby but myself. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to hire her as my postpartum doula and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is expecting a baby.

My partner and I took 3-part hypnobirthing class with Klarity. It was very personalized, holistic and gave us homework and told to practice for months leading up to birth. We were also fortunate for Klarity to be our doula. Our baby came very early and Klarity didn't skip a beat, shifting her schedule around to be present with us that day and through the birth. Her calm, grounded presence and experience working alongside medical team was invaluable and I felt well supported. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to have Klarity in our both team and highly recommend her to others.

Sarah was an unwavering source of support during one of the most physically and emotionally challenging experiences of my life. After choosing to have an at-home abortion, I found myself in the hospital due to unmanageable pain and later faced complications and prolonged bleeding for over two months. Through it all, Sarah was there—offering not just physical comfort, but deep emotional and mental support. She provided reassurance when I felt scared, advocated for me when I felt unheard, and helped me navigate the overwhelming aftermath with patience and compassion. Her presence was a lifeline, creating a safe space where I could process my emotions without judgment. Whether it was through gentle encouragement, grounding techniques, or simply holding space for my emotions, Sarah made sure I never felt alone in my healing process. I am beyond grateful for her kindness, knowledge, and unwavering care during such a difficult time.

Hello, my name is Sofia, and I’m a proud mama to a beautiful child, Luna. I'm passionate about mindfulness practices that help me connect with who I truly am, allowing me to see beyond societal conditioning. My own pregnancy and birth sparked a deep passion for the journey of becoming a Doula. I believe in the power of birthing people and the importance of support throughout this sacred process. I guide my clients with mindfulness and embodiment practices, helping them discover a path that feels right for them. I’m deeply devoted to serving parents, providing a healing space that is free of judgment and full of compassion. I am a certified 500-hour yoga teacher, deeply devoted to both teaching and learning. I believe in practicing what I teach, and I never guide others in anything I haven’t personally practiced and embodied for at least a year. I trained as a doula with The Circle Family Center and have been supporting pregnant and postpartum bodies. As someone who has experienced living in a pregnant and postpartum body, I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to my work.
Sofia was supportive of whatever I chose but she also offered alternative options to make sure I was making the right decision for me. In the end, I was able to deliver without getting an epidural. I was so happy with how Sofia’s support. We really could not have had such a great birthing experience without her!

I believe that motherhood is not meant to be survived, but to be spent thriving. I take a compassionate, educated, thorough and parent-supportive approach with families. I am a passionate mama with a love for children and I am committed to helping parents. When it comes to sleep, my motto is “do not suffer in silence”, you and your baby deserve healthy sleep, and I am here to help!
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Anne as our sleep coach, and she completely changed our lives! When my son was about 4 months old, he would only nap if he was held and had a string of other sleep crutches he relied on to stay or fall asleep. It was really important to me that he developed independent sleeping skills as I would be returning to work soon. From our very initial phone call, Anne was patient, kind and supportive. She answered my (very many) questions with patience and knowledge. Once we decided to move forward with coaching, Anne was very accessible and supportive through the entire process. I was so nervous about my baby "crying it out," but in working with Anne, I learned that there are so many other aspects of sleep training a baby and there is so much more beyond just a child crying to sleep. After our time together, she instilled so much confidence in me as a new mother, and was priceless. If you're thinking about working with a sleep coach, you will not find a better person to guide you through this journey than Anne! The only thing you may regret is not working with her sooner! She's so passionate about what she does, and genuinely cares about mothers - she shows this in every conversation that I've had with her. She helped me teach my son a lifelong skill, and we found a wonderful friend.

She came to our house the first night we arrived home with our baby, and it made for the best transition ever! We originally planned for only 1 month with Stephanie, but we loved having her help so we asked her to stay for another month. We wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie to anyone who needs a night doula.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Jenala as our nanny for two years, caring for our daughter from the time she was 5 months old until she was 2.5 years. Jenala is truly incredible! Warm, attentive, and deeply present in her care. From day one, she engaged our daughter with love, creativity, and patience, and quickly became an important part of our family’s life. Midway through her time with us, we began a nanny share with close friends, and she cared for two toddlers just five months apart. She managed the dynamic with remarkable calm and grace. Jenala was endlessly patient, never raised her voice, and always ensured the children felt safe, heard, and cared for. She also handled meals, routines, and transitions with ease. One of the things that set Jenala apart is how present and focused she always was. She never had her phone out and gave the kiddos her full attention. She filled their days with fun and enriching activities, whether it was a trip to the park, an art project, building forts, or splashing in the mini pool. She spoke to the kids constantly, helping build their language skills and sense of connection. As a parent working from home, I saw firsthand how smoothly Jenala managed each day. She was respectful of our space, communicative, and simply wonderful to have around (she even taught me how to make empanadas!) We feel incredibly lucky to have had Jenala during such a special and important time in our daughter’s life. She helped our little one grow with confidence, joy, and a whole lot of love. Any family would be lucky to have her!

Supporting new parents during the sacred early days of parenthood is not just my work—it's my calling. I became a postpartum doula because I believe every family deserves to feel cared for, understood, and supported as they adjust to life with a newborn. My journey into this field began when I moved to California during my two years as an au pair, caring for young children and living closely with families. That experience sparked a deep passion in me for helping others navigate the tender, transformative moments of new beginnings. I saw firsthand how much of a difference compassionate, hands-on support can make —and I knew I wanted to offer that to growing families in a deeper way.
