Hi everyone! My name is Yvette and I am owner and doula @ The Babyz House LLC in Homewood ILLinois. I would love to help you build healthy spaces where your baby can grow and thrive. I specialize in comprehensive perinatal care, including newborn and childbirth education classes, birth photography, labor and delivery doula support, overnight postpartum doula care, newborn sleep shaping, and infant sleep management.
Yvette was an absolute lifesaver for our family during a challenging time. She provided overnight support for several weeks while I recovered from major surgery, caring for both our newborn and toddler with exceptional professionalism and warmth. Yvette’s knowledge, experience, and nurturing presence gave us peace of mind, allowing us to rest and focus on healing. In addition to her outstanding care for our children, Yvette went above and beyond by helping with light housework and chores, ensuring that our home stayed organized and comfortable. Her attention to detail and willingness to step in wherever needed made a tremendous difference during such a stressful period. We are incredibly grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to any family in need of compassionate, reliable, and thorough care.

Hi, I’m Megan Winfrey – and I’m here to support you through one of life’s most powerful moments. As a certified birth doula with over four years of hands-on experience, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside many families through a variety of birth experiences—natural births, cesarean births, and even NICU stays. I understand that every birth is unique, and my mission is to help you feel empowered, informed, and deeply supported every step of the way. My approach is compassionate, calm, and grounded in evidence-based care. I offer emotional, physical, and informational support to help you navigate your options and make decisions that feel right for you and your baby. My personal breastfeeding journey started with the home birth of my first son in 2003. Like many mothers I struggled with breastfeeding. I found La Leche League (LLL), what a blessing in disguise! With the help I was given, I knew this was the path for me to help other mothers. I became a peer to peer breastfeeding counselor within the LLL organization. In 2005 my second son was born via an emergency cesarean delivery,14 weeks early! I learned so much about lactation & breastfeeding a premature baby. In 2008, this evolved into working in the hospital where he was born as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I studied and learned more about human lactation and I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2009. I worked in a hospital setting for 15 years. My experience with two very different breastfeeding situations has fueled my passion to help all parents meet their specific lactation and breastfeeding goals. I graduated from Union Institute & University in 2015 with my Bachelors of Science in Maternal Child Health with an emphasis in Human Lactation.

Hi! I'm Kristen. I am a graduate of Chamberlain University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My nursing degree has taken me down a path I was destined to be on. I always knew I wanted to work with mothers and babies, and after graduation, I began working as a private nurse for postpartum families. I would be their support system during their personal postpartum journey while educating their entire family on how to navigate the new territory of bringing their baby (or babies!) home. It was during this time I learned how motherhood is such a beautiful experience, yet also one of the most difficult without the proper support system. I began to specialize in infant sleep and obtained my Pediatric Sleep Consultant certification through the Family Sleep Institute. I have worked with countless families in Chicago, as well as virtually, to help them find the rest their whole family needs in a way that works for them. I had a baby of my own last year, and being a mother myself has brought even more empathy and compassion into my work.

Hi everyone! I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and I believe all families deserve love and support. I'm a certified postpartum doula and I provide daytime support in the city of Chicago. Not only can I provide excellent care of your newborn, but I'm there to provide support for the whole family by assisting with breastfeeding or bottle feeding, making meals and snacks, answering questions about newborn development or postpartum recovery, and generally providing emotional support during a time that can be both joyful and stressful. I take your family's health seriously, which is why I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, and I've received the Tdap vaccine. I get a yearly flu shot and I keep my CPR certification updated.
Carrie is amazing. She brings a sense of calm wherever she goes, and has an incredible supportive energy. She’s wonderful at anticipating needs without being asked, and an expert in all things postpartum. Whether it’s making a warm meal or snack, holding a hand (or baby!), or troubleshooting the highs and lows of this very special time - Carrie is my first choice. Thank you for everything you do!

As an infant to early childhood nanny, it has been my complete joy to witness parents blossom fully into their roles as loving, foundational caregivers for their children. In my time as a doula, that joy has increased tenfold as I have been able to witness the exact moment that this unconditional love and care is born. The birth of a new human is remarkable, but the birth of parents should be held and cherished just as thoughtfully and deeply. My philosophy as a doula is whole-family care; we got us, we take care of us by taking care of each other. I'd love to be a part of your journey whether you're adding your first or your tenth to your family. Sliding scale rates available: Birth $800-$1200 Postpartum $30-$35/hr

Hey there! My name is Elly and I am a certified full spectrum doula and a mama to three littles. I offer fertility, birth and postpartum support. I'm located in Jefferson Park and I'm a born and raised Chicagoan. I am a nursing student with a Bachelors in Health Science, and I bring my background knowledge in maternal health disparities into this work by working on a sliding fee scale for families with a tight budget. I am passionate about serving moms and dads in whatever way they need. I strive to provide high quality, compassionate and personalized care to families. No two families needs are the same and through great communication and a never-ending willingness to learn, I do my best to provide a fully curated experience. When I'm not busy at a birth or educating families at a prenatal, I am chasing after my three little gremlins be it at a forest preserve or around the toy section at target, haha. I love being active and cooking. Don't be surprised if I show up with a tin of cookies or a pot full of soup at your prenatal or postpartum visit. I love feeding my families! Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me, and I can't wait to serve you and your family in your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum!
Elly was an absolutely integral part of my successful natural VBAC labor and delivery. Through active labor, she suggested movement patterns and positions that were not only helpful for pain management but also helped improve the baby’s position and descent. She explained everything and always offered it in a helpful way rather than being pushy or demanding. I felt like she anticipated many of my needs and wants during labor before I even needed to ask. I also really appreciated the amount of involvement she encouraged from my partner. He really wanted to be supportive and the tactics that Elly provided allowed him to be so much more purposeful and helpful. Overall, Elly was truly supportive of my birth plan and did everything she could to ensure it became a reality. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone looking for a positive, empowered birthing experience, but in particular I would highly recommend her to mamas who want to go natural!
