Hi everyone! I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and I believe all families deserve love and support. I'm a certified postpartum doula and I provide daytime support in the city of Chicago. Not only can I provide excellent care of your newborn, but I'm there to provide support for the whole family by assisting with breastfeeding or bottle feeding, making meals and snacks, answering questions about newborn development or postpartum recovery, and generally providing emotional support during a time that can be both joyful and stressful. I take your family's health seriously, which is why I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, and I've received the Tdap vaccine. I get a yearly flu shot and I keep my CPR certification updated.

carrie is a rare combination of a professional (always on time, scrupulous about billing, always looking to add value) with a big, big heart. as a single mom with a toddler expecting my second son, i was pleased to find carrie through a referral. from our first meeting, i was impressed by her ability to innovate and think creatively about her role as a postpartum doula. she gave me the impression, which was confirmed time and time again over the following months, that her work is satisfying for her when she can make the lives of the families she is working with better and easier. and she brings experience, flexibility and creativity to figuring out how best to do just that. carrie spent her time with us helping with whatever needed doing, and she learned very quickly what kinds of things we needed help with (often before i knew myself). she cooked delicious foods, kept our home tidy and neat, fetched my toddler home from school, helped with laundry, and even did the shopping on occasion. she brainstormed with me about anything that entered my mind, from the mundane (how to organize my bookshelves) to the profoundly important (how to help my toddler adjust to his baby brother and how to cope with my newborn’s medical issues). most importantly of all, carrie provided kindness and warmth and love to my two boys, and unflinching support to me through it all. my toddler and i speak of carrie often and miss having the daily gift of her patience, encouragement, humor, and damn good sense in our lives.

What an absolute gift Carrie was to our family when we welcomed our daughter! As first time parents, we had a lot to learn, and I couldn't have asked for a kinder, more gentle, nurturing person to teach and support us along the way. And man oh man, does Carrie know her stuff! She's worked with more than 110 families, so she's a true expert when it comes to caring for newborns and postpartum parents. They say that all newborns do is eat, sleep, and poop...but I was surprised how much work goes into all of those things and more! Working with Carrie, you can rely on her for things like: -Feeding: breastfeeding and bottle feeding positions, recommendations for bottles/nipples/nipple sizes, burping techniques, pumping tips, help freezing/storing breastmilk, help washing/sanitizing bottles and pump parts, and even referrals to lactation consultants or other support people if needed. She'll also do the bottle feeding while she's there so you can rest or take care of tasks! -Sleeping: tips, techniques, and products to help with swaddling, how to use a wrap carrier/baby wrap to wear the baby for naps (!!), guidance/suggestions for how to encourage the right amount of daytime sleep, tips for how to "rescue" a nap when your baby wakes up 15 minutes in (it can be done!), modeling ways to bounce/shush/soothe a fussy baby to sleep, expert tips for transferring a sleeping baby to the crib or bassinet, and safe sleep recommendations for both naps and night sleep. She'll help the baby nap while she's there and hold the baby for a contact nap so you can rest, too -- so essential in those early days especially! -Pooping: she'll give you a break from diaper changes while she's there, and she'll answer all your weird questions about newborn poop (and you will have lots of questions!) -- and point you to your pediatrician when your questions are best answered by a medical professional. She's also great at helping newborns with gas and other digestive issues that contribute to a more difficult witching hour, and she'll offer practical tips and reassure you you're a good parent when you're dealing with the witching hour. -Other things: she cooks amazing meals and snacks (and texts you all the recipes so you can make them yourself later). She washes the baby's laundry. She helps with/teaches you how to bathe the baby. She organizes the baby's clothes and things for you in a way that just makes sense. She helps you figure out which toys/gifts from friends and relatives make sense for right now and which are better for an older baby. She takes care of the baby so you can shower or call a friend or clean your bathroom. She keeps your water bottle and your belly full. She helps you remember to take your pain meds. She makes sure you're comfortable. She helps you figure out how to make mom friends! She can recommend pelvic floor PTs and other support services based on your needs. Carrie was so essential to me finding and building my confidence as a mother and learning how to advocate for myself in my recovery at the same time. I don't know how we would've gotten through those tender first few weeks without her! And when my husband's leave ended and I was on my own most of the day, it was so helpful to still be able to rely on her to support me and the baby. And the way my baby loooooves Carrie! Now I am out of the "newborn trenches" with a happy, curious, growing baby and the skills and confidence I need to parent her well going forward. I already miss Carrie a lot, but it also feels like I've made a new friend. I would hire Carrie again without hesitation. She is such a special person!

I trusted Carrrie with my baby completely. She was at the ready to support anything we needed from cleaning the breast pump parts to putting the baby down. I highly recommend hiring her. She has the right balance of taking care of the baby and also giving tips, especially for new moms.

We were first-time parents and honestly didn’t realize just how much we would benefit from having a doula—until we met Carrie. From the very beginning, she brought a calm, supportive presence that made a world of difference in our experience. She effortlessly stepped in wherever we needed help, whether it was with newborn care, advice, making sure we had time to rest or even giving our dog some much needed attention! Carrie anticipates your needs before you know them. As a bonus, she's also an amazing cook! It was nice to have some fresh baked snacks or meal prep done so we could throw together dinner on our own. We’re so grateful for the support in our newborn phase. If you’re on the fence about hiring a doula, don’t hesitate—especially if you have the chance to work with someone as wonderful as Carrie!
- Susan Farris
As a first-time mom, I can’t recommend Carrie and her postpartum services enough. She was incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive with our newborn, cutting through the overwhelming and often conflicting advice from family, friends, and even medical professionals. She helped us focus on what felt right for our family, all while providing clear, evidence-based guidance. When we were too overwhelmed to even ask the right questions, Carrie stepped in seamlessly—offering thoughtful recipe ideas, product recommendations, and referrals—everything from a lactation consultant to a physical therapist. We feel so lucky to have found her. She truly helped make our postpartum journey as first time parents easier in everyway.

Carrie is the most wonderful postpartum doula. We were referred to her by our birthing doula after finding ourselves in need of daytime support. This wasn't even something that was on our radar and turned out to be the thing we needed most. She showed up the first day and we never wanted her to leave, truly. At fist I wasn't sure I would feel comfortable having someone at home with me, helping me take care of my newborn, but I immediately felt at ease with Carrie and looked forward to every visit. Carrie is incredibly intuitive which made all the difference for me at a time when I was completely overwhelmed. The last thing I wanted to do is have to communicate every need and want, adding to my mental load, but this was never the case. Her attention to detail, ability to just pick up and help and soon as she walked in the door were impeccable. I loved having Carrie in our home. It is hard to describe the way in which she flawlessly (and completely unobtrusively) supports both mom, baby and entire family. I've never felt so cared for or at ease. To this day she is the only other person that is able to put my little one to sleep besides me. She was the most sensitive, thoughtful presence for us - draping my pajama shirt over her shoulder and singing the same lullabies I would sing, we couldn't ask for anything better. She exudes professionalism in a warm way and has the calmest demeanor as well as an extensive knowledge of infants and child development. Our little one could not have loved Carrie more. The way she would light up as soon as she saw her face is something I will always remember. Carrie is an absolute must during those early postpartum months - we wish we could have had her stay on for years!
- Abby Fohl
I wish we found Carrie sooner! Her expertise with caring for infants and her vast knowledge / resources she can offer helped us so much. I highly recommend booking Carrie as early as you can, especially if you are a first time parent. She helped us with healthy meal prep, baths, nail trimmings, pumping, bottle feeding, napping strategies, etc. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Carrie is amazing. She brings a sense of calm wherever she goes, and has an incredible supportive energy. She’s wonderful at anticipating needs without being asked, and an expert in all things postpartum. Whether it’s making a warm meal or snack, holding a hand (or baby!), or troubleshooting the highs and lows of this very special time - Carrie is my first choice. Thank you for everything you do!
- Alexa D.
Literally the best person in the world and a life saver. She was the magical fairy I never knew I needed. As a seasoned mother of two, I figured there was no reason to get extra help. I'd done it before. But was I wrong. Carrie was the caring friend and doula who not only took care of me but also my son. She helped to make sure our house was running and my belly was full. If there was anything she needed, she was always there to step in a help out in any way she could. I can't recommend her enough.
- Sara M.
We had a great experience with Carrie! From the start, she was kind, calm, and easy to talk to. She helped us understand what to expect, answered all our questions. After the C-section, she was a steady and comforting presence. She supported both of us - checking in, giving helpful suggestions, and making sure we felt safe and confident. Her support made a big difference, and we’re so thankful she was part of our journey. We would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and experienced doula.
- Munazza A.
Carrie is an absolutely wonderful postpartum doula! I was introduced to Carrie when I was almost 6 weeks postpartum with my second baby. She swooped in and gave me a much needed helping hand, listening ear, time to rest/sleep/go on a walk/do anything for me, and she made so much nutritious food to fuel my body during that exhausting time. Carrie always made me feel like she was on my team during those are early weeks, no matter what it was that I needed her advice or helping hand on. I looked forward to her arrival every day! She is so sweet, warm, loving and kind. She is truly there to help mama and I’m so grateful for her. I highly recommend Carrie and hope all the mamas out there can get some love from her!!
- Liz deAlteris
Carrie is the best! She will anticipate your needs and help in each step of the postpartum journey. We were so lucky to work with her -- thank you for everything!

Carrie kept us sane during the start of our journey into parenthood. Her wealth of knowledge and exceptional ability to calm our newborn put us at ease and set us up to be more confident parents. There was never a question we had that she didn't know the answer to or didn't have a resource for. I'd give her 50 stars if I could!
- Greg Vasilion
Five stars aren't enough for Carrie! She is just so good at what she does, it seems almost effortless (although it is clearly not). She provided postpartum doula support for me for a few months before my daughter went to daycare - working 8-10 hours over two days per week. Just those hours made the difference in my sanity! Not only did my daughter love Carrie, but Carrie also provided amazing support for me as well. She helped out with laundry, cooked healthy meals, and suggested postpartum resources for me (all of which were right on spot). We miss having Carrie around! Don’t hesitate, just hire her! She is worth every penny!
- Alice Kaminski
I wish Carrie could have stayed forever! Carrie arrived immediately following the birth of our second child this winter. I was navigating the VERY new, stressful waters of two young kids, a partner who travels, and a new home. Carrie calmed the chaos and took care of everything I needed to feel cared for during this period of change. It can sometimes feel awkward to have a new person in your home, especially during such an intimate moment. But it felt like Carrie had always been there. She anticipated and responded to the needs of our family so well. Her services are invaluable. Highly, highly recommend working with Carrie if you have the opportunity to do so. You will NOT regret it!!
- Patricia Wagner
I can’t recommend Carrie enough. Carrie did a fantastic job caring for our newborn and giving me some time to relax during a hectic and tiring few weeks as a first time parent. Carrie is supportive, kind, proactive and very informed. Carrie really excels as an educational resource and sounding board for new parents to talk through questions and concerns. Multiple times, Carrie was a great thought partner for me as I made sense of my babies gastrointestinal issues. I’m so glad I was able to lean on her in my first few weeks as a new parent!
- Melissa Ayre
I highly recommend Carrie to ALL moms. I tried several doulas, interviewed many more, and can say with a high degree of confidence that Carrie is the absolute best out there. She helped me and my baby during the immediate postpartum period and beyond. I not only received wonderful support during a very vulnerable and sleep-deprived time, but also learned a ton about how to care for my baby by just watching her in action. Carrie has a high degree of emotional intelligence and is very intuitive - she knew when I needed expert guidance vs when I just needed an empathetic ear. She was also a huge support during my challenging breastfeeding journey. The best part was that my baby loved Carrie and I felt totally comfortable leaving Carrie with my baby while I took some time for myself. All in all, beyond being a wonderful doula, Carrie is a great person and very easy to have in your home (she got along with everyone in my family and fit in seamlessly).
- Mansi Chaturvedi
Carrie is everything you’d want when thinking of inviting someone into your home while adjusting to a new baby. Her calm demeanor and gentle approach soothed our newborn and made us comfortable that our daughter was in the best of hands. Carrie normalized our worries, provided excellent newborn care, and also left us with clean laundry and delicious meals. I have, and would recommend Carrie to anyone considering postpartum care as a new parent!
- Julia Wegmann
Carrie is the very BEST. I did not personally experience any postpartum mental health issue, and I can honestly say it was from having Carrie as my postpartum doula. Every week I knew I had support coming from bottle washing, meal prep, infant care and education, laundry, etc. I had the opportunity to catch up on sleep, hygiene, personal life obligations, etc. and feel like a human. It helped my transition to motherhood so much. Carrie is the most efficient person I have ever seen at chores. In one shift she would make our meals for almost the entire week, tend to the baby, complete our laundry, etc. and I could just "check out" for a few hours. Carrie is a game-changer for postpartum families, and I would highly recommend her services! Thank you for everything!
- Kaitlyn Weinert
Carrie is 110% amazing!!! Fabulous across the board and most importantly, I completely trust her with the most precious tiny humans in my life, my children. I could not recommend her more highly, she’s outstanding!
- Lisa Berghorst
Carrie was such a necessary resource for us postpartum. She took care of everything so that I had space to heal and both my husband and I could bond with our baby. She also anticipated my needs before I even knew what they were. She knows so much about postpartum healing and infant development - information that I found to be normalizing and stabilizing. She provided emotional support as well. I’m so glad we went ahead and hired her postpartum!
- Tali Friedland
Carrie was such an invaluable resource for us as brand new parents. She exuded a gentle, calm energy that was so needed for not only my child, but also for me when I felt frustrated and exhausted. Carrie could interpret our baby’s cues, and offered informed advice about anything that came our way, whether it was how to introduce pumping and bottles, what proper wake windows are for a newborn, how to make bathtime more calm, and even how to swaddle properly. She was really efficient and great at finding ways to make herself useful, for things we didn’t even know we needed. Her healthy snacks were a hot commodity in our household, and I found myself asking her to make them for us week after week. Carrie was a great listener and communicator, and a positive and supportive presence in our household. I would highly recommend her services for any new parent!
- Anu Pulikkan
Carrie is everything you could hope for in a post partum doula — nurturing, parent-focused as much as newborn-focused, compassionate, knowledgeable, reliable, and respectful of parent wishes and preferences. She finds things to help with around the home without being asked and offers help in a constructive and thoughtful manner. I find the home calmer in her presence for everyone involved — she is so nurturing with babies, they love her! Her work is inclusive and supportive of parents of all genders and all family types. If you’re expecting a new addition or have recently welcomed one, I can’t recommend her highly enough.
- Sarah McEneaney
Carrie took excellent care of my wife and baby in the post partum period. Highly recommend!
- Danny Williams
We hired Carrie to be our doula for our newborn and it was the best decision we made! She was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with our baby and also helped me out as a first time mom in immeasurable ways! She was both emotionally supportive and tactically helpful doing laundry, cooking dinner, and other household tasks. If you need a doula, I highly recommend Carrie!
- Melissa Fuhrman Schwarz
We welcomed twins in early December, and secured Carrie's support for the first 4+ weeks. I cannot shout from these virtual rooftops enough how AMAZING her support was. She so naturally and intuitively helped us: from navigating newborn care and development to postpartum support and supporting our newly expanded family dynamic (she was amazing with our other daughter, the new big sister!). She helped with feedings; ensured the house was stocked, organized and in order (reloading diapers, wipes, helping with laundry, etc); meal prep; general suggestions; and more. All of which contributed toward helping me and my husband rest, stay hydrated/fed, and have support as we navigated the newborn haze. Carrie knew how to help, even when we weren't sure what we needed. We happily and wholeheartedly recommend her support if you're expecting or recently welcomed a new baby (or babies!)!
- April Reppy
Carrie was an absolute blessing to have in our home the first few weeks after coming home from the hospital. I felt so well taken care of and truly felt like I was able to be a better mom for my son because of her. It felt so wonderful to be cared for and encouraged! I also have appreciated how even over a month after Carrie stopped working with our family, she continues to check in on me and offer that same encouragement and support! I know I can always go to her in the future.
- Ellie Dix
I am so grateful for all of Carrie’s support and guidance during a new and unfamiliar time in my life. As a first time Mom, there were so many unknowns, so many questions and so many emotions. Immediately, when I met Carrie I knew she was perfect for our family. Carrie is a compassionate, kind, nonjudgmental, patient and trustworthy person. I instantly felt a level of comfort around her, as did my baby. The gentle warmth that Carrie brought into our home created a safe and loving environment for me and my baby to bond. Carrie guided me through those stressful moments in such a calm and caring way. Her wealth of knowledge and exceptional communication skills put me at ease when I was faced with an obstacle. The transition coming home with a new baby went smoothly because of Carrie, I do not know what I would have done without her.
- Randy “Randy & Lauren” Rosenthal
Carrie worked with us as a doula right after our son was born. She immediately brought a sense of calm to our home. She anticipated my needs as a new mom and took it upon herself to help in many ways- whether it was with food prep, laundry, light cleaning or wearing the baby for a while so I could take a much needed rest. She is very knowledgable in regards to new born routines, breastfeeding and also has a wealth of resources. If you are looking for a postpartum doula, I couldn't recommend Carrie enough!
- Marley Kleiman
Carrie was an absolute delight and gift. Carrie always knew exactly where to come in and help. She was there to lend a hand with any of my needs for my LO as well as playing with my 3.5 year old and making him feel cared for as well. From grocery shopping, to food prep, to holding my newborn so I could shower; Carrie was there cheerfully helping out with all of the little things that you don't even think of. My only wish was that I had her there for my first child! Thank you, Carrie! I am so grateful for the care you gave our family. -Flora, Savio, Elio & Justin

Carri was our postpartum doula this summer after the birth of our twins. Working with Carrie I was able to take some time to myself, rest, and enjoy time with my newborns. She has great communication skills and was always so reassuring and supportive during the hectic early months of parenting. Of all the things we did to try and make life easier after the babies were here, hiring Carrie was by far the most effective.
- Lindsey Oliver
Carrie has been our post partum doula after the birth of our second child in March. She has been with us from March - May. She has been absolutely wonderful and I could not recommend her enough to other parents and soon to be parents! Carrie has been amazing with both of my children, especially my newborn daughter. She has helped with providing care for our newborn, preparing meals, laundry and other tasks around the house. She also helped us search for a nanny and other child care providers. My older daughter wakes up in the morning thrilled to see Carrie before heading to school! Carrie has been a pleasure to be around each day and I do not know what I would have done without her. She has helped our family navigate this new chapter in our lives and made the transition from 1 to 2 so much easier. Any future parent, baby and family is so lucky to have Carrie!
