Hello! I’m Jordan Cota, a doula, wife, and mother of five. Over the years, I’ve supported many women through various pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences—ranging from home births and VBACs to cesareans and water births, as well as different feeding and parenting styles. I believe that our pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences deeply shape us as individuals and parents. While there’s no "easy" way to have a baby, the process teaches us how strong and capable we are. I love supporting women through the "fourth trimester" as they adjust to parenting and bonding with their new baby. My journey to becoming a doula started with the birth of my first child. I was young and unprepared, but my best friend instinctively supported me through a natural labor, and I felt empowered afterward. However, I knew I needed more tools and preparation for future births. For my second baby, I chose an out-of-hospital birth center with a doula and midwife, and just 21 months later, I had a beautiful home birth with my third child. My last pregnancy, with twins, led me to choose a hospital birth with both an OB and midwife.
I highly recommend having Jordan as your doula. Our experience with Jordan was 11/10; she was magic. Jordan makes everything easy. She listened to what my husband and I were each hoping for in our birth experience and helped us get there! We learned so much from her to truly understand all our options, to really make welcoming our little one what we wanted. We had a lot of questions and Jordan answered every question we had without fail, with both honesty and reassurance. If she didn’t already know the answer from her wealth of experience, she would find the answer and always follow up. No question was ever too big, small or silly; we always felt comfortable asking her. Jordan goes above and beyond. From arranging to stay nearby so that she wouldn’t miss a thing when our due date came to sending exercises to prep for labor to helping us postpartum, Jordan has become someone we trust wholeheartedly. We count ourselves very lucky to have her in our corner and will definitely call her if we are expecting again!

Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I am honored to support and empower families on their unique birthing journeys. As an Afro-Latina/BIPOC birth worker, I am deeply committed to fostering safe, informed, and sacred birthing experiences. Following my spiritual calling as a healer, I completed my Birth Doula Workshop Training at Bastyr University’s Simkin Center for Allied Birth Professions in July 2023. This training equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to guide expecting families with compassionate care, advocacy, and emotional support through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. My approach is rooted in intuition, empowerment, and holistic care. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported in making informed choices about their body and birth experience. As your doula, I am here to hold space for you, whether through physical comfort, emotional reassurance, or spiritual grounding. Birth is a sacred rite of passage, and you are powerful beyond measure. I look forward to walking this journey with you. I am a certified labor, birth, and postpartum doula passionate about supporting families and honoring their personal preferences. With over 300 hours of yoga teacher training, a culinary arts degree in holistic and postpartum nutrition, and extensive experience as a reiki master and Certified Body Ready Method® Pro, I offer evidence-based information and heart-centered support. My calm demeanor and adaptability ensure that my clients feel seen, safe, and confident throughout their parenthood journey.
From the moment we met Heather, she felt like a member of our family. She was instrumental in helping us achieve a beautiful labor and birth, advocating for my preferences, managing pain, and guiding me through various positions to facilitate progress in labor. In the weeks leading up to the birth, Heather dedicated several hours to preparing my partner and me. She encouraged us to consider different scenarios, practiced Spinning Babies techniques with us, and discussed my labor preferences in detail. Thanks to her calming expertise, we approached the experience without anxiety, confident in Heather’s support. When I faced a complication after delivery, Heather remained by our side throughout. She guided my partner in supporting me and advocated to keep our baby with me at all times—something I believe greatly contributed to the positive outcome of our situation. After we were discharged, Heather visited us at home and provided invaluable practical support that we hadn’t received at the hospital. She helped with swaddling, bottle feeding, soothing a fussy baby, and even advised us on some essential overnight Amazon purchases. During this time, Heather also assisted us in navigating and processing the trauma we experienced, validating our complex feelings and helping us appreciate the beauty of our birth. Heather will always be a cherished part of our family and our story. We cannot recommend her services enough.

I love my job! Supporting parents through labor, birth and postpartum is amazing, and rewarding, and what I feel called to do. I am a birth and postpartum doula, as well as a childbirth educator and a lactation educator. Having an understanding of your options is a big part of preventing birth trauma. Educating parents about how they can better navigate their labor and the medical system is a big part of what I do. I support folks emotionally, physically, with information/resources, and with advocacy (and photo documentation of their labor). We usually have some fun too!

I am a certified labor/birth and postpartum doula. I am also a Newborn Care Specialist and a certified newborn sleep specialist and sleep coach. In addition to giving birth to 10 children myself, I have helped hundreds of families in the nearly 30 years I've been doing this work. I feel it really DOES take a village to raise a child, and I am always honored to be invited to that village. Whether it's assisting in getting information so parents can make informed decisions in labor or birth, or teaching new parents how to bathe their babies, or establishing sleep routines to help all household members to "sleep like a baby", the role I am invited into is an important one that I do not take lightly.
We are very glad that we had tabitha for the first 3 months for our son. She is very professional and so compassionate. She is loving and caring and taught us so much about baby caring.

I have always been fascinated with the process of birth and pregnancy, and after having experienced it myself, I found doula work to be intentional and powerful. I believe there is no wrong way to deliver, and no wrong way to mother, as long as the mother has been educated and is fully involved in the decision-making process. As a doula, I bring education, emotional support, and friendship to this journey's exciting yet vulnerable time.

I recently reconnected with Sage and she asked me to post a review, since I was the very first birth she ever attended. Sage wasn't a doula when she was there for my kids births, she was just a friend who had given birth before, and who offered to support me when I was young, inexperienced and alone. I had a boyfriend, but they were his first kids too and we were both scared. Between us asking her to be at the birth, and me going into labor the first time, she learned so so much about birth and postpartum and taught me so much. I didn't go to a birth class but I felt way more prepared one she started sharing what she'd learned. When the time came, and I was in labor, I told her and she drove from Atascadero to San Diego, made the 6 hour drive in 5 hours, and was with us for the hardest part of the birth. I still wonder if I could have done it without her help and I really don't think so. Having her there with me was so helpful that I even asked her to be there for my son a few years later, and asked her to go to a friend's birth as well. I'm really glad that she's doing this now, even if it took her 15 years before she decided to do it. I'm so glad we reconnected and I could share this, and I'm so proud to be the very first birth she attended and supported.

Hi! I’m Jaya Mallik (she/her), a birth and postpartum doula in Maple Valley, WA, where I live with my husband, Nathan, and our two daughters, Asha and Diya. My journey into doula work began with my own birth experiences. After an emergency first birth and postpartum depression, I found healing during my second birth with the support of a culturally aligned doula who empowered me and honored my values. Her guidance inspired me to provide the same compassionate care to others. As a Woman of Color and current DEI practitioner, I’m committed to addressing healthcare inequities and ensuring every birthing person feels empowered and supported through this transformative journey.
From the very first day after our daughter came home from the hospital, Jaya immersed herself in our family’s rhythm, offering calm expertise when we felt overwhelmed. Her presence was both warm and professional—a rare combination that instantly put us at ease. Jaya’s understanding of newborn physiology and postpartum healing surpassed our expectations. As our postpartum doula, she provided exceptional care not only for our baby, but for us as new parents navigating unfamiliar territory. She guided us through pumping techniques, milk supply management, patiently demonstrating positions and troubleshooting common hurdles such as calming strategies for fussy moments, plans for mother’s rest, nutrition, and emotional well-being. Beyond that, she coached us on safe swaddling, diapering, and sleep-cycle cues, ensuring we felt confident rather than confused each time we stepped into the baby's room. What made Jaya extraordinary is her ability to blend science and experience. She explained the “whys” behind baby behavior and care in a way that was clear and empowering, while also sharing real-life wisdom from her own journey. Her approach was always inclusive and respectful of our values—she listened, adapted, and supported us without judgment. Her practical contributions to our home were just as impactful. The closet was always well organized, and our baby was consistently dressed in freshly laundered clothes when Jaya left. Baby laundry was folded and tucked away neatly, and bottles were meticulously cleaned and ready for the next feed. These thoughtful touches made daily life easier and more comfortable, allowing us to focus on bonding with our baby and building confidence as new parents. Now that our baby is two months old, we carry forward every lesson Jaya taught us. We’ve built routines, solved feeding puzzles, and even started planning for milestones ahead—all thanks to her mentorship. To any family seeking more than just hands-on help, but true partnership through the tender early days of parenthood, we wholeheartedly recommend Jaya. She doesn’t just support—you grow stronger under her guidance, equipped with knowledge, compassion, and a deep sense of trust. We are deeply grateful to have had her by our side during such a vulnerable and meaningful time. Thanks to Jaya, we felt confident, informed, and cared for. If you’re looking for a doula who combines science, sensitivity, and genuine care, Jaya is the person you want by your side.
