About me

My name is Abigail Nelson and I’m a newly certified birth doula and childbirth educator. I’m passionate about supporting all types of births, with a special interest in VBACs and first time home births! I believe every woman has completely authority over where and how she births. I’m here to provide emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after you welcome your baby into the world!

- 2 prenatal visits (not including initial interview) - Continuous on-call support for your labor and birth - 2 postpartum visits *Ideal for first-time moms or those with low risk pregnancies/births in the past*

3 prenatal visits (not including initial interview) -Continuous on-call support for labor and birth - 3-4 postpartum visits *Ideal for high risk pregnancies and mothers with previous breastfeeding, birth, or postpartum difficulties*

Childbirth education

Private childbirth education classes for you and your partner, in the comfort of your own home! We’ll have one in person or over the phone interview to discuss your birth plan and tailor the course to your needs, and then 4 days of childbirth education (in a row or spread over a maximum of two weeks, depending on your schedule!)

I support families in Bremerton, Silverdale, Port Orchard, and Gig Harbor (including military bases) I also accept births in Tacoma on a case by case basis.
