From these initial experiences, I got to witness first-hand how important it is for families to be well-informed and unconditionally supported in order to thrive together. The roots of my work as a doula and student midwife are the same as they were back then, before I even began birth work : when families are given non-judgemental support and evidence-based education during their transition into parenthood, they can have the most satisfying, empowering experience possible.
