About me

Hello! My name is Alayne and I am a full spectrum doula based in Muskegon, MI. I have been learning and navigating the world of birth work since 2018. In 2023 I decided to take the leap to make this my full time career. I work independently and with How YOU Birth Doula Services. I am registered with MDHHS and a Medicaid enrolled labor and postpartum doula. My goal is to provide a sense of calm, education and support so that you can feel empowered on your journey to and through parenthood.

Packages

Prenatal/Postpartum Visits

These visits can be tailored to whatever you feel needs the most attention at the time. Some examples can include working through a birth plan, support with infant care/care for older siblings, light housekeeping, birth story processing, etc. I generally start these visits with the question, "How are you doing?" and take things from there. My goal is that you feel confident and relaxed after our visits!

Labor Support

I am available to support you through your labor. Whether you are birthing at home, a birth center or a hospital, you deserve to feel heard and held through the full birthing process. During labor my main focus is supporting the birthing person through hands on pain management, emotional support, and advocacy. I also strive to help partners and any family or friends that are present to feel calm and confident in being an active part of the process.
