I'm Stephanie with Gentle Birthing, and my interest in birth work was awakened the day my first child was born in 2010 at home, surrounded by our midwife and birthing team. It was at that point I realized that more women need to know their birthing options. We had 4 more home water births in South Carolina before returning to Southeast Michigan where we welcomed our 6th child at home in 2020. I enjoy learning about the physiology of pregnancy and the process of giving birth and am fascinated with all the different natural coping techniques for pain management. With each of my own births, I implemented something new I had learned along the way. I hope to support expecting mothers in the ways I have received encouragement and support from the birth workers in my life. Their support changed the way I thought about birth and what I was capable of doing.
We hired Stephanie as our doula for our first home birth and she was amazing! She offers birthing classes which we took (this is kid #3 but you’re always learning, they were very informative and she’s a thoughtful, supportive teacher. She’s on top of communication and checking in on how you’re doing, helping you navigate pregnancy, the birth process and postpartum. During my labor and delivery she was fully present, supportive to both myself and my husband. She made sure that our needs and wants were met and helped troubleshoot where needed. She provided a steady calm that really supported my husband and I. We’d recommend Stephanie to anyone looking to hire a doula to assist in their birth!

Hello! I’m Eva, a Full-Spectrum Doula proudly serving the Michiana area (Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan). My passion for birth work began when I was a teenager and has only grown stronger over the years. Before becoming a doula, I spent many years supporting families as a full-time nanny, building deep connections with parents and children in my community. I later took my passion for birth work to Hannah’s House of Michiana, where I gained invaluable experience working closely with women in various stages of their reproductive journey. In the Fall of 2022, I experienced one of the most transformative moments of my life when I welcomed my son into the world. His birth ignited a powerful, unshakable calling to support other families through their own birth and postpartum journeys. Since then, I’ve had the honor of stepping into my role as a doula in my local community. I believe every person deserves to be supported through their unique birth experience with respect and compassion. Whether you’re preparing for labor, navigating your postpartum transition, or anything in between, I’m here to offer you non-judgmental, evidence-based support that centers you and your family. You are the expert of your body, your birth, and your choices, and my role is to help protect, advocate for, and support your vision for your journey.
Eva is not only a great doula but also a genuinely down to earth and funny person who brings joy and laughter to your pregnancy and birth. She made me feel like the sister I never had was there as well as a knowledgeable and sweet doula. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants solid support, an advocate in their corner and a jovial mood at their birth.

I am a Certified Birth Doula servicing the Mid-Michigan area including Genesee, Shiawassee and Oakland Counties. I provide physical, informational, and emotional support throughout pregnancy, labor/delivery, and immediate postpartum.
After having a c-section with my 1st baby due to the baby’s position in my pelvis, I decided one thing I wanted to do differently for my 2nd pregnancy was to hire a doula educated in the Spinning Babies techniques. While searching for doulas, I had 3 people recommend that I reach out to Jennilee, so my husband and I contacted her to set up an interview & after careful consideration we both believed that she was the best fit for us. She was flexible and came to my house twice for prenatal appointments to discuss my desires/expectations, the labor I envisioned, to show the different Spinning Babies positions and stretches to use up until delivery, & to educate us on the tens-unit. When I went into labor my husband contacted Jennilee and she was ready and willing to come to my home or meet at the hospital–whatever I felt most comfortable with. When she arrived at the hospital, she immediately jumped in to providing support, with each contraction I felt relief with her applying sacral pressure and controlling the remote of the tens-unit. At my discretion, she instructed me through different Spinning Babies positions to ensure baby was in the ideal position. She provided positive energy and encouragement throughout the process and was never overbearing to me or my husband. Six hours after my first contraction I had a successful unmedicated VBAC to a healthy baby girl. My husband and I are so thankful that we “found” Jennilee to be a part of my labor and are so happy with our decision to hire her. One thing that I really liked is that she sent us some notes on my labor which provided a nice recap of the stream or events/timing since you aren’t really thinking of it in the moment. Jennilee came to my house for a postpartum visit where we discussed the labor and how postpartum life was going. All in all, she was a blessing and exceeded every expectation that we had and would definitely rehire her for a future pregnancy.

Hi, I'm Hannah. I've been in birth work for 20 years, though I've been passionate about birth for as long as I can remember. As a registered nurse (with labor and delivery experience) certified doula, childbirth educator, and life coach, I focus on helping you feel empowered and supported throughout the process of your pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum. I'm a mom of six boys, myself and have experienced both hospital and home birth personally. I know first hand how birth can imprint and shape the mind and memory and make every effort to assure my mamas experience birth as beautiful! I co-founded and work with a partnership of doulas in Michiana - Birth Doulas of Michiana.
I would highly recommended Hannah Norton to any of my friends or family who are pregnant and looking for a kind, knowledgable, and experienced doula! Our experience with Hannah far exceeded ecxpectations. Her response time to questions and concerns was very timely and she welcomed any questions without hesitations. Having access to the whole Birth Doulas of Michiana cohort and all their specialties was an added bonus. It was a joy and comfort having her as our doula throughout our whole pregnancy.

Hello! I'm Logan! My journey to becoming a doula was deeply influenced by my own personal experiences with childbirth. I've experienced a range of birth scenarios, including two cesarean sections, and three VBAC births. After my initial two C-sections, I felt a strong desire for a better birth experience. This led me to immerse myself in research about birth and VBAC options. With the knowledge I gained, I felt empowered to pursue a VBAC and was successful in achieving three vaginal births. I am passionate about educating and empowering other women to understand their options and feel supported in making the best choices for their own birth journey. I'm here to support you, as together we research, learn, and prepare for the birth you envision. I'm proud to be a certified doula through the West Michigan Midwifery Institute, and I'm committed to providing compassionate and informed support to every woman I serve.
When I got pregnant with our fourth child my husband and I both knew without a doubt that we wanted Logan to be our doula. She’s everything a pregnant momma could ask for! Logan is a great encourager, advocate, and educator. She takes the time to listen to other people’s needs and desires and works to make those a reality. I have complicated pregnancies and Logan made sure to take the time to do some research regarding my needs, pointed me to many valuable resources, and helped me think through what the best options were for me. She is honest, yet gentle and genuinely cares about those she works with. Logan was willing to go to doctors appointments with me as well to help voice my desires when my OB was unwilling to listen to or work with me. With her by my side I always felt much more at ease and prepared to welcome a precious new life into the world. I would choose Logan for a doula again every single time, hands down!

Hi all, my name is Debra Young and I am a Certified Birth and Postpatum Doula, Lactation Support located in South Lyon, MI. My career has been working with family and children. Coming from a background in Social Work and Clinical Therapy, I believe birth can be calm, peaceful and joyus, if we set the right atmosphere with positive and constructive plan. Nurturing Doula Care, LLC tries to create comfortable and non-judgmental environment for all parents seeking informational and emotional support. In my free time, I enjoy being creative, decorating, making centerpieces, cooking and enjoying family, my husband, children, grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
I have nothing but great things to say about Debra! I was her client during 2024, and had my son in November 2024. I never hired a doula with my oldest so the process was as new to me and I wasn't sure what to expect, but Debra met me where I was at and guided me through the process so it was effortless. She was always available either by text or call and always checked in on me and made sure that I had any information and support I may need! I'm not in contact with my mother so Debra, being and mother and grandmother herself brought the motherly vibes which looking back is something I personally preferred Vs having a doula around my age. She actively listened to my preferences surrounding my birth experience and when the time came she was both respectful and thoughtful of my wishes. She advocated for things I didn't want in the delivery room for me while I was deep in labor. If you want a kind, caring, compassionate, reliable, and loving doula please don't think twice about hiring Debra you will not regret it!

I’m Mikah! I’m a full-spectrum doula and I have been a doula for about 2 years. I just started school to be a home-birth midwife. I love serving others especially women and babies. I am big on naturalistic and holistic care. I am a believer and I love to pray with my clients if that’s something they would desire.
My children love Mikah ! She’s absolutely great and we were so grateful /excited to have her apart of our support system . We did find her a little late in our pregnancy going into my 3rd trimester but she responded immediately and we didn’t waste time after that . She’s quite the help (: , she provided us with one of her lactation consultant friend Sandra , who gave us tips on how to breastfeed more effectively and they were both very knowledgeable about the proper nutrition needed to keep up my milk supply. Her gentle and calming nature helped ease our anxieties and we felt extremely comfortable leaving our son Joshua in her care while we were able to get a few hours rest. Mikah is just overall amazing and a great person to open up to as well and I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs/wants a doula . She also meal prepared for us - which btw was DELICIOUS!!! And provided the best freshly pressed juice I’ve ever had which also helped me shed some postpartum weight off .

Hello! Im Ashley! I am a momma of 2 little princesses, an army wife, and I love Jesus! My goal is to serve and empower women through pregnancy and childbirth! During these very important moments in your life, I strive to create the most positive experience for you, your partner, and your baby!
I seriously would not have been able to do this birth thing without her!! I felt comforted and like I had a supportive friend there for my husband and I throughout my entire labor and even after. When my water broke, she was there with me to labor most of the day at home and spent all night in the hospital with us. Labor and delivery is filled with many highs and lows, and there are so many emotions that take place, but I was so thankful for Ashley during it all. She really added so much joy and value to my labor experience, and cheered me on as I made my final pushes for our sweet baby girl to join us!! It was incredible and I was so grateful. Highly, highly recommend her 10000x!!! I also really appreciated her costs. We were really struggling financially at the time and I really wanted a doula but so many were so expensive, and then I found her and was so thankful despite our struggle, we were able to come up with a plan and make it work! It meant the world to us. 🥲

Greetings! Blessings to you. My name is Desiree Cameron, founder of Birthing Abundantly Maternal Services. We provide evidence based lactation consulting and holistic full spectrum doula services to mamas experiencing high risk births and postpartum recovery. We fully support the BIPOC, BIWOC, and LGBTQ community. Mother of 2, always connecting to my community and finding healing in nature.
Desiree turned what could have been a traumatic pregnancy and birth experience into an experience where I was well informed, prepared and put at ease. I had a high risk pregnancy and was told at only 20 weeks that I would give birth prematurely. Desiree was always available when I called her with news from the doctor and not only did she remain calm at all times, but she gave me great advice which ultimately taught me how to advocate for myself and my child. I would highly recommend her doula services!

I am a DONA trained birth and postpartum doula, as well as a BSW/MSW level social worker! I believe that it's important to take a holistic approach to birth and parenthood. These experiences are sacred and everyone deserves to have the support they need. The correlation of mental health and birth/postpartum is huge. With my knowledge of community resources, mental health, and trauma, I can provide the care to all who need it.
Nicole is an incredibly kind and compassionate person who brings so much warmth and care to the people she supports. Her deep understanding of emotional needs, combined with her social work background, makes her an exceptional doula. She listens without judgment, offers thoughtful guidance, and truly prioritizes the well-being of those she works with. Anyone would be lucky to have her by their side during such an important time in their life. She is an exceptional human being and friend.

I am a mother of 4 and they were all different births. I love supporting women and helping them to prepare for the birth that they envision. Besides my dedication to being a doula I am also a birth photographer. I am here to provide evidence based knowledge, help you find your strength and advocate for you and your baby.
I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough! She was an absolute rock star during the birth of my baby, who arrived 6 weeks early. Through all the uncertainty and stress, Michelle was there every step of the way to keep the calm and peace, offering unwavering support and reassurance. She was a true rock for my family, ensuring I was taken care of and advocating for me throughout the process—especially during the scarier moments when doctors weren’t explaining things clearly. Michelle stepped in to make sure we understood everything. Her compassionate presence made a world of difference. On top of that, she captured beautiful, meaningful pictures when we first brought our baby home from the NICU. I HIGHLY recommend Michelle for anyone looking for a dedicated, kind, and supportive doula.

Hi there, my name is Sara and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula with an M.A. in Early Childhood Development. I have been providing compassionate care for babies, children and adults for over 20 years. My love for helping others has helped me gain valuable experience as a teacher, youth treatment specialist, nanny, mentor, emotional support coach, and a caregiver for individuals with specials needs. I am also currently working on my yoga teacher certification and studying herbalism. I am dedicated to providing compassionate care and guidance to parents and families; helping them to feel supported and empowered through out their pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum journey.
Sara provided doula services for me during my pregnancy and birth. She was very kind, patient and listened to me when i expressed my personal needs. She worked hard to provide me a safe and quiet place during labor. The way she advocated for me is something I truly missed out on during my previous pregnancy. She brought so many goodies, essential oils, honey sticks and provided plenty of massages. She just knew what i needed and it really helped to have her there. When i think back to the birth of my son i can hear her voice reassuring me through the process, so nurturing and affirming!

Hi I am Maria, and I came to doula work after working in childcare for 8 years. After spending time with parents who had relatively no postpartum care or support, I soon started my training to bridge that gap. I believe that the postpartum period is one of the most crucial stages of pregnancy. Many parents experience feelings of loneliness, confusion, and exhaustion and it is Maria’s top priority to help parents feel their best during your fourth trimester. Maria believes that every family who wants a doula should have one. Promoting a judgement free zone, she happily works with families and individuals of any age, race, & gender. Instilling confidence and nurturing a new family is what makes Maria excited to go to work every day. Maria has been trained as an EMT, birth and postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor, and is working on her IBCLC certification which she plans to finish by winter 2025.
I have worked with Maria for almost a year now and it has been the best decision for my family. I am a first time mom and only got 6 weeks of maternity leave before going back to work full time. Maria provided overnight support and it helped tremendously. She took over care for my son so that I could get a full nights sleep. I woke up to a happy baby, clean house, and was able to start the day off right. I absolutely recommend Maria to everyone!

From our first meeting, it was evident that she was highly educated and knowledgeable about childbirth, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout my pregnancy and labor/delivery, she provided unwavering support, offering valuable advice and comfort. Her presence during labor was incredibly reassuring. I am a passionate birth doula who is dedicated to helping mothers feel heard and in control of their pregnancy and birth by finding trust, strength, and empowerment through listening to the intuition we all have as mothers. My personal experiences of having a C-section, a miscarriage, and a VBAC have all encouraged me to help educate and support other women throughout their own journeys. My goal is for mother and partner to feel supported through prenatal education and confident in trusting their combined intuition to make the best decisions for their family in this life changing moment.

Because of my unique blend of training and experience in both counseling and doula work, I am a good choice as a doula for anyone who would appreciate the extra depths I can go to in our prenatal and postpartum visits, as well as during your birth! In addition to the transformative and emotional side of birth, I also have done extended study in spinning babies, what different labor patterns mean, and what positions help in different situations. My toolbox includes all the standard “comfort measures” most doulas use for labor as well as a lot of “outside the box” ways to cope that I have learned from my extensive reading.
Morielle was a peaceful and incredibly helpful presence during pregnancy and birth. She was insightful, calm, and knowledgeable. She offered ideas, strategies, exercises, and knowledge that helped me immensely. Her peaceful presence helped me navigate difficulties during pregnancy, such as having a baby in the breech position and undergoing the ECV procedure. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for emotional, physical, and spiritual support during pregnancy and childbirth!

Hi, my name is Chante Shine. I am a wife, mother and cancer survivor. It was after my own two wildly different but equally amazing birth experiences I realized that I had a passion for birth. For years afterward, I helped to guide my friends through their birth journeys but after my life changing struggles in 2022 I decided, life is short and there is not a minute to waste! So, in 2023 I decided to make it official and get my Birth Doula Certification. I also went ahead and added Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Counselor and Childbirth Educator Certifications to my agenda! I am currently working my way through these classes, and I could not be more excited and thrilled to start working with expecting parents such as yourselves!
Chante is so empowering and knowledgable and I highly recommend her for pre and post birth support!

I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and Michigan Medicaid enrolled tele-health birth coach. I believe deeply in the power of human touch and compassionate care, and my desire is to get to know you and what’s most important to you for your birth
Working with Mal was great! She brings a motherly, calm, and warm presence with her in the birth space. She helped me know when to go to the hospital and was with me every step of the way until I had my baby. She remained calm during the most intense moments and helped me know what was going on during my labor process.
