Hi, I'm Alysha! I am a Certified Birth Doula serving the St. Louis area. I believe that every woman should feel empowered to have the birth experience she desires while staying safe and healthy. Having attended both medicated and unmedicated births, I know there is beauty in every kind of birth, and I consider it an honor to be present for each and every one! I’m Kelley, St. Louis birth doula, mom to 3 boys, married to the guy I fell in love with in high school. I became obsessed with birth after our first was born via cesarean after an induction for “dates” for “failure to progress.” Air quotes intended. The disappointment I felt surprised me; I dove into research about birth in America. I learned all about my fertility, chose a provider who would be supportive of a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), and hired a doula. Best laid plans and all that… I had a cesarean for high blood pressure at 42 weeks. I definitely still felt disappointed over his birth, but because I was educated and well supported, I knew we had made the best decisions with the options we had. I still planned for VBA2C for baby #3, and was able to push him out of my body right into his daddy’s hands – with a lot of help from my medical team for high blood pressure again, and so much support from my doula. When my former industry got flip-turned upside down and my structural engineering days were forced to end, I decided to follow my passion and dreams and become a birth doula, and now life has moved us from our native Houston to St. Louis. I see my role as a birth doula like being a good coach. I’m on the sidelines with all the information for you, but you’re the one who has to execute the plays. I’m here to educate you and support you whether you’re having a baby at home in the water with twinkle lights, epidural or not at the hospital, or a planned cesarean. I’m going to meet you where you are and dig down into that hole with you. And after the baby is here and you’re overwhelmed, I’m available to help you out, listen to you, and get you through those first few weeks. When I’m not doula-ing, I’m training Jiu Jitsu, at the baseball fields, a wrestling meet, a choir or band event, playing banjo, or I’ve got my nose stuck in a book. And I’m always down for some Tex-Mex.
Kelley is the absolute best! From the moment we started working with Kelley during my first pregnancy, I knew she was the perfect fit for our birth team. I wanted to approach birth like an athlete—mentally and physically prepared, with a strong advocate by my side—and Kelley was exactly that. She was both coach and champion for me and my husband, ensuring we felt confident, informed, and supported every step of the way. When labor came, she was instrumental in helping me stay focused and in control. The movements she guided me through were game-changers, especially when my baby’s heart rate fluctuated during contractions. Thanks to her expertise, we were able to avoid additional interventions and stay on track for the vaginal birth I had planned. The nurses were raving about Kelley, praising how seamlessly she worked with them, understanding the plan of care and adjusting strategies in real time. Her presence brought a sense of calm, strength, and reassurance that I truly believe made all the difference in my experience. Without a doubt, Kelley will be a part of our birth team again when we welcome our next child. If you’re looking for a doula who will advocate fiercely, support you completely, and help you approach birth with confidence, Kelley is the one you want by your side. Thank you, Kelley, for being such an incredible part of our journey!

I have been a nurse for 20+ years. As a nurse I have seen the impact that doulas have on maternal and infant health. For that reason I also became a doula. I am certified in reiki, TENS unit application, and water birth. I am also studying herbalism, aromatherapy, and acupressure. I believe that all mothers should have access to all holistic services related to birth. I am certified through DONA International. I would love to be your doula!
Stacie was my doula for the birth of my 3rd child. She still needed a certification birth so I reached out to her and signed up with her to be my doula. My partner and I were very nervous about allowing someone in our home due to a past tragedy in our town. A doula in our town several years ago killed a woman and stole her baby. Due to this we were very nervous. Stacie eased our concerns right away by presenting in a very professional manor. She was extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum. She was also able to provide references, actual certifications, and professional organization details. Because of this, our anxiety disappeared. She was there for 3 prenatal visits, the birth, and a postpartum visit. She was very supportive through the whole process. I did end up needing to be induced, and got an epidural, but she was still very helpful. She provided great support from the moment we all arrived at the hospital to about 2 hours after the birth. I would highly recommend Stacie (Holistic Expectations) to be a doula. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I would use her again.

Hi everyone! I'm Brittany Fatoma, a certified perinatal doula (prenatal, antepartum, and postpartum) and perinatal doula trainer. I'm a proud wife to a phenomenal husband and mama to a powerhouse little girl who's growing up fast. When I'm not busy supporting families, you can find me dancing to music, belting out karaoke tunes, or whipping up some of my favorite Southern dishes. Before becoming a doula, I taught early childhood and elementary education for eight years. I was also passionate about leading a nonprofit advocating equitable educational opportunities for Black and Brown children. Birth work allows me to beautifully combine my love for children with my desire to empower and support birthing individuals. As a doula, I'm particularly interested in supporting families through challenging and exceptional circumstances, such as first-time parenthood. I also prioritize helping clients stay healthy and active throughout pregnancy. I offer comprehensive childbirth education to equip parents with the necessary knowledge and confidence. My ultimate goal is to create a space where birthing individuals feel empowered to have the desired birthing experience.
Brittany is a blessing! When my OB had me stressed or confused during my pregnancy, Brittany was there to calm me and guide me through my emotions. She’s friendly, loving and has a great spirit overall, which is very much needed during and after a pregnancy. I have learned a lot from her and I am beyond grateful to have met her. I highly recommend her and their whole collective! They’ve got a great team going on!

Hi I’m Emily! 🥳 I’m a Jesus follower, Wife, Mama, & Birth & Postpartum Doula! I believe every mother deserves to be supported with compassion and intention as she helps her babies grow and come into the world. In my personal pregnancy journey, I experienced a successful diet-based management of my Gestational Diabetes followed by a peaceful homebirth. God has created us to do beautiful, strong, awe inspiring things & I continue to feel a deep sense of honor to hold space for the mamas I work with at home, birth centers, and hospitals! If you think we would be a good fit, I’d love to chat and I look forward to meeting you soon!
Emily was my doula for two of my babies, first as a post partum doula and then as my birth doula. She is compassionate, thoughtful, dedicated, and so joyful. Her impact was felt in her encouragement from the first contractions to learning how to breastfeed. She was a supportive and calming presence in otherwise chaotic times, and very attentive to the needs of the moment. When it got tough, I was so glad to have Emily to keep me grounded. She would be an amazing support for any mom.

Did you know that a mother does not see her doctor until four to six weeks postpartum? Many health issues can arise during that period; it's comforting to know that your questions can be answered and problems addressed with a medical trained postpartum doula. I want to bring home health care back to its roots with at-home follow up care for families following birth. To have a trained medical profession in your home teaching you how to care for your newborn baby, while also caring for your entire family is a rare gift. Acupuncturists undergo four years of Eastern medical training which includes three years of Western medical training. I also happen to be a baby expert, caring for over 105 babies and being a single parent foster parent to a set of 3 month old twin baby girls. If there's one thing I know, it's the language of babies. A few examples of what I offer my families include: -Videos with helpful techniques such as putting on a nipple shield, pace bottle feeding, or multiple options for newborn carriers - Newborn care - Bottle washing, sterilizing, CDC guidelines for bottle care - Infant laundry and nursery set-up - Nighttime care - Errand running - Organizing anything Marie Kondo style - Dietary suggestions to help heal the post birth body, to address joint pain and for lactation support - Cooking healthy meals and snacks for family - Keeping mom hydrated, rested and cared for - Create a daily feeding schedule for Mom/baby that optimizes Mom's ability to rest and restore her body - Researched information on environmental and safe baby-care products and topics - In-home acupuncture treatments which aren’t extra cost, they come as a perk to me being your doula :)
Vanessa provided overnight care for my newborn for several nights while I got much needed sleep. She was patient, caring, and attentive with my son. It was invaluable to know that my son was in excellent care during such a difficult transition for our family. I couldn’t recommend Vanessa enough!

I am a birth doula and photographer, and I serve the areas in and around Fulton, Columbia, and Jefferson City. I became a doula because a woman's experience in labor and childbirth can often affect how confident she feels as a mother, especially in the early weeks postpartum. The role of a mother is an important one and it is vital that she feels empowered to make decisions for herself and her children that line up with her beliefs and values. Mothers have certain beliefs and values because they believe that these will be the most beneficial for their children and I want to support that.
Abbey was so supportive during and around the birth of my child. She provided great resources and really took the time to understand my partner and I's preferences for labor. During labor, she was attentive and worked to make me as comfortable as labor would allow. Overall, having Abbey around made labor better and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for extra support during and around labor.

Lizzy was born and raised in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Before becoming a doula, she got a degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas in hopes of becoming a Clinical Psychologist, but all these ambitions changed when she was expecting her first child in 2022. She fell in love with pregnancy and birth and knew she was called to become a doula. Just as Lizzy felt educated, supported, and empowered in her own birth, she hopes to help mothers and their families feel the same. She received her birth doula training through the Global Education of the Midwife (GEM) and is currently pursuing education to become a postpartum doula through Lifespan Doula.
Lizzy Goulden is not only professional, but she is compassionate towards mothers and babies. Lizzy is comforting and reassures mothers at the most vulnerable stages of their lives. I seek her advice not only in my personal life, but professionally at the my position of employment, a maternity home for young mothers.

Hi! I’m Lauren Spencer, labor support doula and childbirth educator. I currently live in Independence, MO and am embracing the joy, chaos, and love that raising two toddler boys brings! I am a follower of Christ, love the outdoors, and am blessed to cross paths with you! After my birth with my youngest, I felt a calling to help serve and support other families as they navigate all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. That's when Beloved Births KC was born!
We chose to have Lauren as our doula with our third pregnancy. This was my first time using a doula and it made a world of difference! Her expertise, calming presence, and intuition was invaluable for my unmedicated induction. She helped with advocacy making sure all our wishes were honored. She was so helpful to my husband as well, teaching him comfort measures, counter pressure, and helping him to be involved throughout labor. I am so glad I decided to have a doula as an extra set of hands for my unmedicated birth. She also has amazing tools such as red light therapy and a birth sling. I cannot recommend Beloved Births KC enough! She is worth every penny!

I’m a work from home mom and I had my first baby in June of 2023! My husband and I have been married since 2022 and we’ve grown up in Kansas City our whole life. I’ve been passionate about birth since I saw my mother birth her last two children about 10 years ago and noticed how much women need advocates and support during pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum! Since then, I’ve been trained as a doula through GEM (Global Education of the Midwife) and have been pursuing a postpartum doula course as well. I hope to provide my clients with all the information necessary to empower them to make informed decisions about their birth plan/goals. If a client is open to it, I also love my Christian faith and try to implement that in areas of my work as well.
Theresa was very kind and always willingly to answer any and all questions regarding childbirth I had, especially as a first time mom. I’d highly recommend her as your doula as she is informed, attentive, and very flexible!!!

My name is Chelsea and I am a DONA international certified doula and GentleBirth childbirth educator with a passion for supporting mothers and families during their pregnancy journey. I have kids who have all been born in countries not my own and can understand the challenges that come with that. I provide continuous care and a constant presence during labor as well as support during the months leading up to the day your little one comes earth side.
After watching all of the beautiful and peaceful homebirths I was very disappointed that I was advised to go to the hospital due to my son being measured too small during my third trimester. After spending a night there I got very nervous and anxious and didn't quite know how it was all going to work out, as I was hell-bent on wanting a natural birth without being pushed by the Gynaecologist to induce my contractions. And in walks the lovely Chelsea...a clinical doula, something I knew existed (a doula) just not provided as a service in the hospital! Chelsea and I instantly connected and with her soft and sweet voice she helped me with breathing exercises, taking my mind away from the intense extractions. She even brought her own natural coconut oil with which she massaged all the areas that hurt or simply needed the pressure. She also spoke with the Gynaecologist and reassured my contractions we're coming every 10/5 minutes or so, which gave us the opportunity to initiate my labour naturally. I heard lots of horrible birth stories, especially those in hospitals, but I can honestly say I had an absolute wonderful birth thanks to Chelsea. Truly a gift from above to may have had you there with me. Both my partner and mother still ask about her and would love to see her again. We are eternally grateful for her and wish her all the best!

Helping families thrive in the 4th trimester | Certified Postpartum Doula | Emotional support, newborn care, & rest for new parents | Serving Wentzville & beyond
I truly don’t know how we would’ve made it through those first few weeks without her. From the moment she stepped into our home, she brought such a calm, reassuring presence. She cared for our baby with such gentleness, but she also cared for me—making sure I was resting, eating, and emotionally supported. She answered all my questions (big and small) with so much compassion and knowledge. It felt like having a best friend, a baby whisperer, and a lifeline all in one. If you’re on the fence about hiring a postpartum doula—do it, and do it with her. You won’t regret it!

I first met Shelby when she was 14 years old and even then, she was interested in childbirth. She had an inquisitive mind and a munificent heart. I had my daughter when Shelby was 16 and even at that young age, she was my biggest supporter. My husband at the time was clueless, like most first time dads, and my mom lived 4 hours away. Shelby checked on me frequently and encouraged me to advocate for myself during my pregnancy, all while being a kid and focusing on her schooling. I was induced on a Friday night at 37 weeks and unfortunately, ended up needing to have a c-section the following Sunday morning. Even though it was not the outcome I wanted, Shelby was at the hospital with me all weekend prior to my c-section while I was in labor (along with my husband at the time, my mom and my brother). Shelby’s presence during labor calmed me. She understood the balance between fun and serious. Whether I needed ice chips, someone to distract me during a contraction or to sit on the medicine ball, Shelby seemed to anticipate my needs before I could articulate them. As a very anxious first-time mom, that was so important to me. Shelby has only become more compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced as a doula over the last 13 years. She takes her clients needs seriously and will do everything in her power to make you feel comfortable during your labor.

With a passion for supporting families through the transformative journey of childbirth and early parenting, I bring expertise in providing compassionate care, promoting breastfeeding, and fostering parent-infant bonding through the art of infant massage.
Emily was outstanding as our doula. She eased our worries and remained with us throughout the whole process. She was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. She made us feel at ease. She ensured our needs were met and guided us through our pregnancy and birth. She went beyond our expectations, and even assisted us after birth as well with our breastfeeding struggles. We were so lucky to have her, and she was able to capture pictures for us so that our focus could be on the birth, each other, and our beautiful baby. It was an amazing experience with Emily and one that we will definitely love to have her for again for any future births we have.

Hello my name is Doula Asia . I like to consider myself as a DOULAPRENEUR I am the owner of Doula Love, Light, & Life LLC. I am a Mom, Community Health Worker and Maternal Health Advocate. I became a full spectrum doula in 2020 because I want all birthing people to know they have options and a voice that can and will be heard when it comes to their body and baby. I want to help you know what questions to ask your provider, to know how to advocate for yourself, and to know there is someone in your corner to support you through pregnancy/birth/and postpartum journey. Motherhood is a beautiful thing but there is no manual on how we should be a mother but if you have the right support team it will be one of our greatest moments.
Asia was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable throughout my entire birthing and postpartum experience so far. She made sure that she knew all of my preferences for my birth plan far ahead of time and prepped me for as many natural pain remedies possible. I love how she included my mother and my partner, providing knowledge necessary to all of us during our meetings. Asia continuously checks in with me to ensure mine and the baby's health on a regular basis. She truly made my birth a comfortable and non-judgmental space for creating life. I would not have wanted to bring my baby into the world any other way. As a first time mom, I can definitely say that Asia made me feel prepared and supported the entire time. She is amazing!
