Imagine being supported fully, emotionally, informationally, physically as you labor and birth your baby. Imagine feeling supported, seen and heard in your birthing experience. I bring information so that you can make informed decisions, caring support so that you have what you need, when you need it, I support your birth partner so that they too can be a help and support to you. I bring many comfort measures that can help in the labor process. I really enjoy supporting you in you in your choices for your birth. 😊 I do this through Childbirth Education Classes, personalized prenatal visits where I take time to answer your questions and get to know you, supporting you through the labor and birth process as well as providing a postpartum visit to take time to process everything and provide any additional information you may need. This style of comprehensive care fills in many of the gaps in care that are currently present in the medical system today.
I wasn’t sure about hiring a doula because I’m frugal but Amanda was well worth it! She was very helpful and knowledgeable about pregnancy and labor. Plus, she was good company. She stayed in the hospital with my husband and me for 2 full days. She was also there before and after our son’s birth for moral support and resources. Before labor, my husband didn’t fully understand the role of a doula but he is also very thankful that we had Amanda on our team. If you’re considering a doula, hire Amanda!

My husband and I were going back and forth on weather or not to have a doula or not, but after meeting Amanda I knew she was perfect for our home birth team! She is positive, encouraging, down to earth, and super knowledgeable in her practice! Giving helpful tips during pregnancy and after! Having her there with us was truly a game changer and I can’t imagine giving birth without her! I would recommend her 100x over again for the way she helped me feel empowered, the way she took care of me during birth, and the way she was able to help my husband know how to help me!

Amanda was wonderful to work with from start to finish! I would highly recommend calling to set up an interview and see if she an help. Did you know that having a doula present during birth reduces the likelihood of a C-Section (13%vs 25%)?She was calm, relaxed and aware of my goals for my birth. She communicated well with my husband and the hospital staff to help me have the birth I wanted. I can't say enough things about working with Amanda! In general, I highly recommend a doula!!

Amanda was our doula at our first birth and she was PERFECT. She was so peaceful and composed and helped to maintain the environment that we wanted. She was also very knowledgeable about different positions and made sure that I was doing everything I needed to be doing. If we have another baby I will definitely want her there again.
