Hello families, my name is Misty Morgan and I am a seasoned Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist (formerly known as a night nurse), Sleep Consultant and New Parent Coach located in Kansas City, MO with over twenty years of experience. I have cared for hundreds of infants and their families. My career began in Orange County, CA while also traveling nationwide to support families. I embody respectful and responsive care through nurturing practices. I have extensive experience with multiples, medically fragile infants, hospice care, gentle sleep training, 24/7 care, private travel and nursery set up. I have the experience to help make your fourth trimester as stress free as possible. I will help with bonding, healing, trusting your natural parental instincts and learning along the way. I might be a wealth of knowledge, but I will not push anything onto you. This is your time to feel supported and loved while you transition into this new phase of your family. I cater my care to you. I do not have one specific style as I need to be able to adjust as things change or your needs change. I consider myself to be nurturing, able to multitask, calm in emergencies, organized, great at communicating, able to read a room, confident in the care that I provide and always eager to keep learning. Prior to working overnights, I was a household manager and long term nanny. I have a family of nine, former licensed foster home, cpr and first aid certified as well. I have trained with CAPPA, Summer Hartman and alongside a NICU nurse ten hours a day for two months caring for twins. That hands on experience out weighs any course I have taken since. Please feel free to reach out to me with any of your family's needs.

I offer custom care for the entire family during your first weeks to months home with your baby. Having me means that you'll be supported in your feeding journey whether breast, bottle or chest feeding. I want to make your life easier in every aspect from helping you heal, bond, sleep and providing responsive care for your little one. I will maintain a detailed log of all bodily functions for baby, feeding and sleep. Your nursery will be stocked and tidy before I leave in the morning. All pump parts, bottles and all things baby related will be washed and sterilized. I will even start your morning coffee before I leave if that helps start your day with a smile. I also offer 24/7 care, travel care, sleep training and parent coaching. I'm open to providing evening support for those that have toddlers at home and want to be able to put them to bed to maintain their routine. All in all, I'm here to support you and what Your family needs.
Misty was amazing at not only taking care of our infant overnight but her general knowledge on babies was incredibly helpful. She got us through reflux, teething, diaper rashes, and sleep training. I trusted her fully with our newborn.

Misty is a special person! I could sleep soundly and peacefully knowing that Misty was in my home caring for my newborn! She brings a wealth of knowledge through her extensive background, which includes newborn care, postpartum doula and sleep consultant. Being a first time mom, I wanted to soak up as much information from her as I could and I welcomed our long chats at the start of the evening. Our relationship did not end when our care ended with her after 12 weeks - she was available for me to text or call at any time if I had any questions. Her work ethic is unmatched. She always shows up to work 15-20 minutes early and is ready to go! At the end of her shift, she would debrief me on the night and also send a recap text of everything that happened (feedings, dirty diapers, medications administered, etc.). Misty’s guidance and support has made me a better and more confident mom and I will always be thankful that our paths crossed when it did.

Misty was the night nurse for our second child in 2021. She was there my first night home from the hospital and for around 6 to 8 weeks after that. We were so lucky to find Misty. She was an absolute angel. We felt extremely comfortable with her and trusted her. Not only was she great with our son, but she was also very supportive of me. Misty helped our son get into a great routine and sleep schedule very early, which made our lives so much easier. Misty was always punctual and professional. I have recommended her to friends and highly recommend her services. She is a gem!

Misty cared for our twins from the time they were 3 months old until they turned 12. She was especially knowledgeable about the infant stage - establishing a sleep schedule, introducing new experiences/foods at the best times, etc. Her patience was nothing short of amazing - she had our twins eating and sleeping on a schedule within a matter of weeks. She also gave us (parents) tons of advice and guidance (we were completely overwhelmed). As the kids got older, she focused on helping them learn manners, giving them new experiences, being creative with crafts and projects. We were often complimented on how well behaved our toddlers were, and we owe credit to Misty for that!

Misty was an incredible help to us with our twins. She worked with us from when the twins were 10 weeks until they were ~8M. She was very knowledgeable and professional, was very communicative with us, and very reliable. She took safety very seriously, and she was very caring with the twins. She shared information and gave us options to think about in terms of night feeds and sleep training, but always listened and followed the plan that my husband and I were most comfortable with. She would be great with a family that wants to be very involved in decision-making, but would also be great with a family that wants the carer to make more of the decisions. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for an NCS or any help with their baby.

Misty was so incredibly helpful during a time of so much uncertainty. As first time parents, we had a lot of questions. Instead of relying on Google, she was a resource that actually knew our baby. She was able to help us develop a routine as we got home from the hospital. She allowed us to get a little more sleep than we would have gotten if she wasn't around. I experienced some issues with breastfeeding, and she was able to help me. She also used some of her contacts to answer questions she may not know tons about. Cannot recommend her enough.

I worked with Misty over the course of a year. She was a tremendous help with my twin girls when I brought them home from the NICU. Misty was a life saver. While she took care of our girls, we were able to get much needed sleep. Her night shift always ended with washed bottles drying in the sterilizer, feeding times recorded in a journal and a generalized report how the night went. I highly recommend Mindy for any parents who need help at night and especially parents who are bringing home twin babies!

Misty is a special and fantastic human, night nurse and nanny. We needed help with our first child when our night nurse was sick for two weeks at the end of our contract. Misty stepped in and was a gem. Because she’s so seasoned, gentle and intuitive she was able to get our daughter to sleep through the night AND tackle the challenge we faced with my daughter’s excessive spit up. Some night nurses and nanny’s just do what they know and say they can’t help if it’s out of their knowledge - not misty. She’s so seasons she had a solution or two for almost everything, but she also works to figure out solutions to challenge. We required Someone who’d be a team player with us in how we approached challenges so we could also have continuity in care - and that’s Misty. She also has an incredible attention to detail and noticed pink mold in our brush cleaning holder. We thought we washed it well frequently but apparently not. So her attention to detail and care goes beyond the baby, to our whole house. Overall she’s just so fantastic, kind, excellent at how she cares for babies, professional (always on time!) and INcREDIBlY nurturing. I’d call on Misty again and again and highly recommend her.

We had the pleasure of hiring Misty as our night newborn care specialist for the first three months after our second child was born, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her support. From day one, Misty was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring. Her expertise put us at ease, especially as parents navigating the challenges of newborn care plus a toddler at home! Misty was a huge advocate for safe sleep practices, which gave us peace of mind as we knew our baby was in the best hands. Knowing she was there to care for our son at night allowed us to get much-needed rest, which was such a blessing during those early, sleep-deprived days. Beyond her skill and professionalism, Misty is a genuinely kind and compassionate person. She became a trusted part of our family, and we truly appreciated her dedication and warmth. If you’re looking for someone to provide exceptional care for your newborn, we highly recommend Misty!

Misty was our night nanny for our twins, and we had a wonderful experience working with her. She has extensive experience working with multiples, her feedback was invaluable, and she expertly helped to sleep train our twins, which was amazing and much appreciated! We would absolutely recommend Misty to any families considering her.

Misty is a consummate professional when it comes to night nursing. She is timely, a clear communicator, respectful of mom and dad’s wishes, and genuinely cares for the baby. She offers advice when appropriate. Her 20+ years of experience are apparent in her work. I would feel comfortable recommending her to anyone.

Misty was my night doula for my preemie twin girls. In a difficult time during Covid, having preemie twins and struggling to recover from giving birth Misty was like an angel. She was extremely professional, reliable, and loving to my daughters. I never had to worry about her not showing up. Her expertise in caring for babies exceeded my expectations. She was able to recognize issues with the babies when it came to digestive issues, eating patterns etc. she created a sleep schedule and implemented safety protocols. Misty thought of things I would have never thought of. I had a team of doulas- 24/7 and Misty led in all areas in a loving, caring and professional manner. She spoke up if she didn’t agree when it came to the well being of my girls. I would recommend Misty without thinking twice. She will make your life so much easier and you will never want to let her go! I never worried when I left my girls with Misty, in fact I was worried when she wasn’t around I relied on her so much. I was very bummed when she moved away. Anyone that has the opportunity to hire Misty is extremely lucky.
