I am a mother and professional nanny who was nurtured during my prenatal and postpartum periods, which I am grateful for. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, but what I offer is not expert advice. There is an overload of information now that seems overwhelming to new mothers. I offer the knowledge that motherhood is a rite of passage that occurs naturally with guidance and companionship, not a list of tasks to do and information to learn. Motherhood is learned through experience and by being surrounded by caring mothers. I am available for prenatal visits to help prepare mothers for their birth. I am available for the whole birth or the beginning phase of birth to be present in your home before the transition to the hospital. I am also available postpartum to help make your transition with your new baby easier. My daily postpartum shifts are a minimum of 3 hours, which can include some meal prep, if desired. I am also available for 2 overnight shifts per week after the baby is born. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to talk about your specific needs and goals. I love providing and caring for woman in all stages of life by offering truly autonomous well woman care, fertility counceling, peri/Menopausal herbal support, pregnancy and birth support for all woman who seek it. I provide supportive, autonomous, individualized care to women during pregnancy, birth and the first 6 weeks postpartum. All visits take place in your home allowing you to feel relaxed and not rushed during appointments. After the birth of my first daughter in 2011, I became passionate about breastfeeding and its advocacy. I had no idea how hard and isolating it would be and desperately wanted help and advice. We moved back to the Capital Region and I found La Leche League! This community of supportive, non-judgmental nursing families inspired me and I became an accredited Leader in 2017. Since then, I’ve been fervently learning about breastfeeding and human lactation. I earned the title of IBCLC in December 2022. I live in Averill Park, NY with my husband, two daughters, our two rescue cats, and a handful of chickens. I love gardening, cooking, cycling, running, pole vaulting, learning new things, and empowering families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
