About me

With over 30 years of experience in child care—including 16 years as a center director—I began my work as a postpartum doula in 2018. As a mom of three grown children (including two retired service members) and a proud new grandmother, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to every family I support. I love helping new moms navigate the fourth trimester with confidence, combining my training and hands-on experience to make a meaningful difference in their transition. Supporting families during this special time is truly my passion. I’m here to answer your questions and walk alongside you on this beautiful journey.

I cannot recommend Blissful Sleep enough! We have used them twice now, and their timeliness and reliability really stood out compared to other services we’ve tried. The doulas are natural at soothing and caring for babies, and they were incredibly helpful with establishing routines. Beyond just childcare, they did dishes, washed bottles and pump parts, and helped with other chores, which gave us more time for sleep. We appreciated how flexible they were. They always adjusted to whatever we needed that specific morning—some days that meant letting the baby sleep as long as possible, and other days they had her changed and fed so she was ready for our morning rush to school/ work. If our baby didn't need anything in the morning they would brew coffee and read to the older kiddos. They go above and beyond to support the whole family.

Blissful Sleep Doulas was an incredible experience for our family. I originally thought I didn’t need a night nurse, and then a few weeks in I was running on 20 minutes of sleep and actually hallucinating. A friend recommended I reach out to Marsha, and she worked miracles to get me the help I needed, even though most people book months in advance. Every doula who stayed with our newborn was caring, knowledgeable, and so gentle. As a first-time mom, I was very nervous about leaving my baby with anyone, but they made me feel completely safe and supported. I truly can’t recommend Blissful Sleep enough. They were a lifesaver for us.

We are really grateful to have Marsha over for our baby girl overnight. It is overwhelming to have a premie as a FTM, but Marsha took good care of my baby girl overnight, allowing us to have some good sleep without worrying our baby girl. She is very reliable and careful, and she also provided us some good tips to help us ensure adequate bottle feed amount when having a sleepy premie.

Choosing someone to trust with your newborn is a big decision but we hit it off with Marsha right away. She is very communicative, always on time, and always offering to help out in additional ways. Having Marsha’s help with our newborn overnight allows us to keep up with our toddler during the day!

Marsha was a calming, reliable presence for our family during a very stressful time. She was a gift to my kids for their new baby. Our grandson ended up hospitalized with a severe infection and we needed around-the-clock coverage. Since our family was sick with Covid, Marsha stayed with him at the hospital for several nights and helped coordinate an additional doula to cover shifts. This was a huge relief. When our grandson went home, she helped the kids get settled into their new life. Marsha’s warmth and practical guidance made a difficult time feel more manageable. We are so grateful!
