Hannah Wright

Hannah Wright

3 years of experience

My name is Hannah and I’m a birth and postpartum doula. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education and taught kindergarten until my son was born in 2020. Although my role adjusted when becoming a mother, a fire was ignited through my birth experience, and I started researching how I could make a difference. After my daughter’s redeeming home birth in 2022, I knew that becoming a doula was a tangible way I could impact mothers and the next generation for the better. By providing emotional support, evidence-based information and physical support, I strive to make the family’s life changing, transitional time a smoother one. I am trained through DONA as a birth doula and Lifespan doulas for postpartum work. Besides classroom experience, I also have nannied for several families over the past few years. It is my goal as your birth or postpartum doula to make you feel seen and heard. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my kiddos outside, serving at our local church, grabbing coffee with friends, going on family walks or experimenting in the kitchen.

Hannah was able to provide me with virtual and in person support for the birth of my baby. She quickly responded to any question I had and gave me clear, practical information tailored for me. She shares your emotional journey in a way that makes you feel empowered and validated for any feeling or question you may have. She is sweet, knowledgable, and comprehensive about what she knows. She is prepared with lots of different ideas for pain-reducing techniques during the natural birth of my baby as well as providing alternatives when needed. She displays an assertive, yet respectful bedside manner and advocates to the doctors and nurses with for your best interest. She checked in frequently and even reached out many times after my baby was born to check not only on the baby, but also me as well to see how I was doing physically and emotionally. She took lots of time to help me find out an answer to a pain I was having after birth and resolve it. She is easy to talk to and understanding of what you are going through. I would highly recommend hiring Hannah Wright to be your doula.

Finding Melissa was one of the greatest gifts during my postpartum recovery. She truly became family to us. From the moment she walked into our home, she brought such a calming, loving presence that immediately put me at ease during one of the most vulnerable times in my life. Not only is she incredible with babies, but she also takes care of moms in a way that is hard to fully put into words. She helped ease my postpartum anxiety, encouraged me constantly, and made me feel supported, capable, and cared for every single day. She celebrated the wins with me, reassured me during the hard moments, and genuinely made my recovery experience so much more positive than I ever imagined it could be. She was amazing with our baby overnight, helped us establish routines, gave us confidence as parents, and somehow always knew exactly what we needed before we even had to ask. Getting real rest and knowing our baby was in such loving, capable hands was life changing. Melissa is not just a postpartum doula. She is a night angel, a support system, and one of the most special people we’ve ever welcomed into our home. I genuinely cannot recommend her enough. Any family would be beyond lucky to have her during such an important chapter of life.

Dale was my instructor through the MaternityWise Doula Program back in 2018. The moment I spoke with her, I knew I’d chosen the right path. She kept in constant contact and made sure I was fully prepared for class. Her teaching went beyond the binder—she shared the real ins and outs of the doula business, the birth experience, and answered every question. She opened up about her own life so we could see how being a doula fits into everyday life. One experience changed my life: Dale walked me through attending my first birth and gave me the confidence to take charge. She was also present for the birth of my last baby in 2019. When she arrived, she immediately made me feel calm and empowered. The doctors and nurses respected her so much—they even waited for her to arrive before breaking my water and asked for her approval. It was such a powerful moment. It was an honor that she cut my baby’s cord. Dale is the best and will always have my family’s love and respect

I had the absolute pleasure of having Avivah as my baby nurse after my C-section, and I truly don’t know how I would’ve managed without her. From the moment she arrived, she brought calm, care, and competence into our home. Not only did she care for my newborn with such gentleness and attention, but she also went above and beyond by helping with my older kids, preparing lunches for me, bathing the baby, and even folding laundry without ever being asked. She is incredibly capable, proactive, and thoughtful, always one step ahead of what I needed. Her support allowed me the time and space to rest and heal, knowing everything (and everyone) was in the best hands. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Jenny Schuster

I’m a birth and postpartum doula serving families throughout the Baltimore, DC, Southern Pennsylvania, and Southern Maryland areas. My work is rooted in one core belief: when a mother is deeply supported, nurtured, and cared for, she is better able to care for her baby and step into motherhood with confidence and grace. I specialize in supporting mothers through some of the most vulnerable and transformative seasons of life — including high-risk pregnancies, birth trauma, postpartum mood disorders, hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), chronic illness, pregnancy after loss, and complex postpartum recovery. My background in psychiatric rehabilitation counseling allows me to bring a unique understanding of emotional health, nervous system support, and compassionate care into the birth world. My approach is deeply intuitive, trauma-informed, and mother-centered. I believe birth is not just a medical event — it is a life-changing human experience that deserves respect, advocacy, emotional safety, and individualized support. Whether I’m supporting a laboring mother through transition, helping a postpartum mother heal after a cesarean, assisting with feeding challenges, or simply making sure a family feels seen and cared for, my goal is always the same: to “mother the mother.” I offer both birth and postpartum doula services, including overnight and daytime support, prenatal education, emotional support, recovery guidance, feeding support, and practical care for growing families. I am especially passionate about helping women trust themselves again after difficult experiences and creating spaces where mothers feel safe, empowered, and genuinely held. Beyond my work with clients, I’m passionate about maternal mental health advocacy, improving the birth experience for women, and creating honest conversations around motherhood, healing, and the realities of postpartum life. My work combines evidence-based education with warmth, intuition, humor, and deep compassion. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that mothers deserve quality care. Taylor Gladhill

3 years of experience

Hi, I’m Taylor — a birth photographer, L&D and postpartum nurse, and currently completing my birth doula certification through a deep love for supporting women through one of the most transformative seasons of their lives. My approach to birth work is rooted in compassion, advocacy, education, and genuine connection. I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and supported - no matter what kind of birth they hope for. Whether your vision includes an unmedicated birth, epidural, induction, cesarean, home birth, or simply “please help me get through this,” I’m here without judgment and with full support for your choices. Working in labor and delivery has given me firsthand experience supporting women through both beautiful and incredibly challenging moments. I’ve seen how important calm support, reassurance, and informed care can be during labor, birth, and postpartum recovery. My nursing background allows me to bring both emotional and practical support into the space while helping families feel safe, empowered, and cared for. Alongside doula support, I also specialize in motherhood and birth photography because preserving these moments matters deeply to me. Birth is raw, emotional, powerful, and fleeting all at once - and I feel incredibly honored to document and support families through it. Outside of birth work, I’m a mom myself, which has only deepened my passion for caring for women in this season of life. I understand how overwhelming, vulnerable, magical, and identity-shifting pregnancy and motherhood can feel, and I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. My goal as your doula is simple: to help you feel supported, informed, grounded, and never alone throughout your journey into parenthood.

If you have the opportunity to photograph one of the most memorable moments of your life, you absolutely should. Before meeting Taylor, I didn’t fully understand what birth photography or doula support would even look like. But from our first conversation, it was obvious she is an incredible listener, calming presence, and someone who genuinely cares about creating an unforgettable experience. One of our biggest concerns was comfort during such a vulnerable moment, and Taylor was so intentional about respecting that. Somehow she captured so many beautiful moments without ever feeling intrusive. Her labor & delivery experience made such a difference. She knew exactly what was happening, comforted us during moments of uncertainty, and brought such a peaceful energy into the room. The combination of her talent, knowledge, and passion is truly special. Looking back now, it honestly feels like pure magic that everyone was exactly where they were meant to be in that room that day.
