About me

Hi everyone! My name is Kati Frey and I am a Certified Childbirth Educator in Elizabethtown, PA. I am passionate about all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I founded BirthPrint after experiencing 2 different types of births: the first was what everyone expected of me and the second was the birth of my dreams. I love listening to everyone's stories and meeting them where they are. No two people are the same, therefore everyone should prepare for childbirth in a way that makes sense to them. This is the foundation of BirthPrint. My particular interests are helping mothers heal from past traumatic birth experiences, answering questions that seem too taboo to ask, and providing evidence based education that makes sense. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 2 sons and husband, knitting, hiking, camping... pretty much anything outside!

I did a birthprint session with Kati over phone and then video for the education portion. The education was excellent and personalized for me. Loved that she was attentive to find out my needs and tailored everything to that, making it super relevant and concise. Loved the experience

Frequently asked questions

How far do you travel?

Ideally, we would like to keep our one-way travel time to approximately 1 hour. We believe that everyone should have access to the birth education services of their choice though. If BirthPrint is the choice for you, we are more than happy to work with you to develop a plan to ensure you receive the birth education that best prepares you for your birth goals, which may include a travel fee if you live outside that 1-hour range.

How much experience do you have?

Each of us has a master's degree in nursing in addition to being Registered Nurses - this means we have all completed 6+ years of schooling beyond high school. We have all worked with pregnant, birthing, postpartum, and newborn clients for over 10 years. Our experiences range various settings that include fertility clinics, OB/GYN offices, hospitals, and birthing centers. To top it off, we have all held formal education roles prior to working at BirthPrint! And we cannot wait to share our knowledge with you.

Do I need any supplies for the education sessions?

It is highly recommended that you have a birthing/exercise ball and a yoga mat. The learnings we review will include the use of these tools, and we strongly encourage you to invest in them for your pregnancy/labor. A pen/pencil and paper to take notes as you desire are great to have on hand as well.

Can you guarantee I will have the birth of my dreams?

No - we cannot make any guarantees on how your labor or birth will go. Just as each person is unique, their labor and birth journey are as well. Our goal at BirthPrint is to empower you to make informed decisions, backed by up-to-date evidence. We are more than happy to walk with you through your deepest fears and most sought-after dreams related to pregnancy and birth, to create a truly personalized birth education experience.

Will you attend my birth?

No - we do not attend births or provide doula services. If you are seeking a birth attendant or a doula, we can give some guidance in the right direction. Don't hesitate to book a free consultation - it might be the factor that helps you decide which path to take!

Do you give pregnancy/labor advice?

No - our services are for educational purposes only. All services are limited to education and information and do not include any form of medical care, medical advice, clinical assessment, or doula services. Share your birth plan or related wishes with your healthcare provider(s) prior to labor, as we do not coordinate with your provider.
