My wife would like to have someone there to advocate for her and help her in the birthing process as well as postpartum. I'm with the WGA insurance but it doesn't look like having a doula is covered.
I’m looking to do at an home/birth center water birth. I’m looking for a midwife. My budget is 30 to 50 per hourly rate or insurance covered
Hi there! My husband and I are seeking a doula for our first pregnancy/birth/postpartum. The doula we are looking for is gentle and nurturing... and accepts Kaiser insurance. 1. I plan to give birth at a hospital. 2. Kaiser has listed the following doula services covered by my plan: -One initial visit -Up to eight one-hour visits that may be provided in any combination of prenatal and postpartum visits -Support during labor and delivery -Up to two additional postpartum visits may be available. They also say that: "for doula services to be covered by the Health Plan, the doula must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and a Tax Identification Number (TIN)." And that "the doula must file a claim for reimbursement." 3. I'm still thinking this through and would like a little help with this! I want a hospital birth. I want to keep and capsule my placenta. I'd like to labor for awhile at home and to try to not use an epidural, but am open to it if I feel I need it. I want to be able to move around. I want soft music playing and a gentle atmosphere. Maybe calming essential oils. I'd like to breastfeed.

Requirements of provider - English speaking, at least 10 years of experience. I'm 36 years old, and due in August. Thank you!
Looking for a doula to help with birth and postpartum care. Lactation consultant is a plus but lower in priority. I plan to give birth vaginally in a hospital with an epidural. I am hoping for guidance on additional pain management techniques, birthing positions, and what I can do ahead of time to prep for birthing and postpartum. I will be delivering at Kaiser Permanence on Sunset and have Kaiser insurance.

We are expecting our first child soon and are looking for an experienced postpartum doula to provide primarily daytime support during the newborn stage. We are first-time parents and would like someone who can help us navigate the transition with confidence. We would prefer a certified postpartum doula (DONA, CAPPA, or equivalent) with at least 3-5 years of experience caring for newborns and supporting first-time families. Infant CPR and first aid certification are strongly preferred. Experience supporting breastfeeding mothers, pumping, bottle feeding, and establishing healthy newborn routines is important. The care recipient will be a healthy newborn infant with no known special needs. We are looking for guidance on feeding, soothing, diapering, bathing, safe sleep practices, and general newborn care. We would also appreciate education and coaching so we can become more confident and independent caregivers. In addition to newborn support, we are looking for light household assistance related to the baby, including washing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, organizing baby supplies, keeping the nursery tidy, and occasional light meal preparation for the family. We are not looking for deep cleaning or extensive housekeeping. We are hoping to find someone who is warm, dependable, knowledgeable, and evidence-based in their approach. Strong communication skills and experience helping parents establish healthy sleep habits and routines are a plus. We are primarily interested in daytime support, ideally several days per week during the first few weeks and months after birth, with flexibility as our needs evolve. Our estimated budget is approximately $35-$60 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and the level of support provided. In the Los Angeles area, we are open to discussing higher rates for an exceptional candidate with extensive newborn experience.
Doula services postpartum at our apartment and hopefully overnight as well. We have CIGNA insurance that will cover due less services so ideally it could be someone in network.

I’m planning to give birth at a hospital and I’m looking for a doula who can support a calm, empowering, and informed birth experience. I’d like someone who can help advocate for me, communicate clearly with medical staff, and keep me grounded emotionally and mentally throughout labor. My estimated budget is flexible depending on services included. Ideally, I’d love guidance with pain-management techniques, breathing, reassurance, and support before, during, and shortly after birth. I’m also interested in postpartum support and possibly night nursing in the beginning if needed. Overall, I want to feel safe, supported, and confident throughout this process.

Giving birth in a hospital and would like to avoid c section
Holy Cross Mission Hills Hospital I would like natural birth epidural being the only exception no c-section or inducing.
I likely will have a C-section, and with a toddler and dog we would love some support during postpartum recovery, including lactation support, helping with my physical recovery (what to do, what to avoid) and help around the house (cooking, cleaning up, laundry). We have some family help but no one will be staying with us during the actual physical c section recovery. I have Athem Blue Cross PPO 040 and am based in Los Angeles.
