We plan to give birth at Stanford Children's hospital. This is our second child and we would like to do a natural birth again. For our first son's birth, we had a doula who helped with breathing, positioning, encouragement, and support during birth process. Our insurance is BlueShield of California. We are also interested in looking into a postpartum doula depending on pricing

I would like to give birth at home but open to exploring my options. I would hope to find providers covered by my insurance; IEHP or under $2,000. I am seeking someone with a vast amount of births under their belt. Including in home & hospital and trained in or experienced in breech birth. We are expecting our first child soon and are looking for an experienced postpartum doula to provide primarily daytime support during the newborn stage. We are first-time parents and would like someone who can help us navigate the transition with confidence. We would prefer a certified postpartum doula (DONA, CAPPA, or equivalent) with at least 3-5 years of experience caring for newborns and supporting first-time families. Infant CPR and first aid certification are strongly preferred. Experience supporting breastfeeding mothers, pumping, bottle feeding, and establishing healthy newborn routines is important. The care recipient will be a healthy newborn infant with no known special needs. We are looking for guidance on feeding, soothing, diapering, bathing, safe sleep practices, and general newborn care. We would also appreciate education and coaching so we can become more confident and independent caregivers. In addition to newborn support, we are looking for light household assistance related to the baby, including washing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, organizing baby supplies, keeping the nursery tidy, and occasional light meal preparation for the family. We are not looking for deep cleaning or extensive housekeeping. We are hoping to find someone who is warm, dependable, knowledgeable, and evidence-based in their approach. Strong communication skills and experience helping parents establish healthy sleep habits and routines are a plus. We are primarily interested in daytime support, ideally several days per week during the first few weeks and months after birth, with flexibility as our needs evolve. Our estimated budget is approximately $35-$60 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and the level of support provided. In the Los Angeles area, we are open to discussing higher rates for an exceptional candidate with extensive newborn experience.

- Requirement: Accepts Kaiser insurance for covered postpartum doula services. - Would be great if provider also had availability for night needs that could be paid additionally / out of pocket (since I know Kaiser does not cover night services). This can also be a separate provider. - Would like a provider with at least 2 years of experience working with newborns / newborn families. - Spanish as a second language would be a bonus, but not a requirement. - Requirement: must be OK with cats in the home, we have two kitties that share a space with us! If you are a cat lover, that is a big plus.

Postpartum doula First 2 weeks: 2–3 short daytime visits per week about 2–4 hours each (check-ins without feeling like someone is “living in your house”, newborn guidance as questions come up, recovery support, confidence building breaks to shower/eat/rest). (2 weeks x 3 days x 2hrs = 12hrs) Weeks 3–6: taper to: 1 visit/week or “as-needed” visits (sleep feeding rhythms, fussiness/gas, recovery/emotions, returning confidence). (1 day x 2hrs x 4 weeks = 8 hrs) Prefer a doula who is: educational rather than highly hands-on, calm/low-energy presence, respectful of privacy, comfortable leaving you alone with the baby instead of hovering, flexible and non-rigid. I’m pretty private and don’t love having people in my space for long periods. I’m looking more for guidance, reassurance, and occasional help rather than someone constantly taking over baby care. We live in Playa Del Rey and planning to have a birth in Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills. Our estimate budget is $1500-3000 but this will depend on the available options. I am working with a midwife as my primary care provider, and for now we are planning on a natural birth, preferably no induction (unless medically required), maximizing freedom to move during birth. I want to have an epidural as an option if I need it but I am planning to go without it for as long as possible and see how it goes. I am 25 yo, this is my first baby (a boy). We are looking for a russian speaking doula who will be able to help during birth and also provide guidance in postpartum journey (newborn care, pp recovery). Cleaning / cooking / laundry is unnecessary and is not a primary reason for our search but could definitely be beneficial!
