My mother was a Lamaze instructor who taught childbirth classes in our home, surrounding me with the language, rhythm, and wonder of pregnancy and birth from an early age. As the eldest of four siblings and 16 grandchildren, I grew up surrounded by babies, witnessing the magic of new life, and developing a deep-rooted sense of awe and normalcy around the birthing process. The births of my own children lit a spark in me, and that spark grew into a calling. I became a doula and gained extensive experience supporting families birthing in homes, birth centers, and hospitals across Los Angeles. Over time, my passion for this sacred work deepened, and I felt the undeniable pull to expand my knowledge and commitment to birthing families by becoming a midwife. Through years of study, apprenticeship, and dedication, I graduated from the National Midwifery Institute. I am a Licensed Midwife (LM) with the Medical Board of California and Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) with the North American Registry of Midwives.
