Angela Racy
About me
Hello, I’m Angela, the Dreaming Bee Doula! I live in Studio City and I support clients all around the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley area! I am a perinatal and birth doula, and currently obtaining my certification as a childbirth educator! I am deeply passionate about walking alongside families as they journey through the many transformations of pregnancy and birth. I truly believe in the power of community, nourishment, and intentional support, and I thrive on creating a safe and empowering space where you and your partner feel heard and cared for. My goal is to always help you feel confident, grounded, and celebrated in every step of your story! I also know that strong connection begins with clear communication. I love getting to know my clients through friendly phone calls, heartfelt in-person meetings, video and FaceTime calls as well as regular text check-ins…Really, any method that is most supportive to you. Open, honest conversations are at the center of our work together, ensuring you always feel comfortable and informed. My practice is rooted in both personal passion and professional training. I completed my birth doula training with Bini Birth in Sherman Oaks, California in 2022. I continue to expand my knowledge through additional certificates in areas such as basic lactation support, childbirth education, and CPR/First Aid. This fall, I will be an internationally certified birth doula and childbirth educator through ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association). I'm so excited to offer this new level of knowledge to my clients! These trainings, along with specialized workshops like comfort care support, holistic wellness, and childbirth physiology all keep me current and I'm always learning more! I work hard to blend evidence-based guidance with compassionate, individualized support—always meeting families where they are with care that feels both informed and deeply human!

Service introduction
I offer tons of prenatal support. Once we have signed our contract, we begin with two prenatal meetings where we dive into your preferences for birth. We go over what your fears or anxieties may be, how we can manage and communicate these things to care providers and how to apply useful comfort measures and effective pain management techniques. Together we create your birth plan so that you can feel confident that your needs are met on all levels. I provide on-call support in the days leading up to your due date, I arrive when I am needed and I stay with you and beside you through labor and birth, until you’re safely holding your baby! I can handle photography and I carefully chart the timeline of your entire labor process. Once you are home or recovering from birth, I like to have a postpartum follow up with you, to go over your overall birth experience and check in on how you are transitioning into parenthood. I have an enormous network of vetted specialists that I can share for specific needs you may encounter as well.

If you're considering hiring Angela, do it. It was one of the best decisions my partner and I made during my pregnancy, and I can confidently say she was worth every penny. From our very first conversation, we were drawn to Angela's calm, grounding presence. She immediately made me feel safe, and I had a strong sense that I would be well cared for, which turned out to be absolutely true. We were also impressed by her experience, her commitment to continuing her education, and her familiarity with both my OBGYN and the hospital where I delivered. What set Angela apart most was how completely judgment-free she was. From the beginning, she made it clear that her role was to support my birth, not impose her own opinions. From decisions such as considering an induction or planning to get an epidural, she always provided balanced, evidence-based information and helped me think through my options without ever trying to sway my decisions. She empowered me to make informed choices that aligned with my values and birth plan. During labor, Angela was everything I hoped for and more. She was my emotional anchor, a wonderful advocate in the hospital, and an incredible support for my partner. Since our families live far away, she filled such an important role for us, bringing warmth, reassurance, and steady guidance throughout the entire experience. After I got my epidural, she continued helping me labor by guiding me through different positions to encourage progress, and she always seemed to know exactly what I needed in the moment. One thing I especially appreciated was how she built genuine relationships with the nurses caring for us. She took the time to get to know them and even brought small appreciation gifts. It created such a positive atmosphere, and we ended up with an amazing care team that made our hospital stay even better. The prenatal meetings were another highlight. They were thoughtfully structured and left me feeling informed and confident going into labor. Practicing labor positions and comfort techniques with my partner beforehand made a huge difference, and seeing all the tools and techniques Angela had in her toolbox gave me confidence that I'd be well supported no matter how my labor unfolded. What many people may not realize is that Angela's care doesn't end after delivery. We scheduled our postpartum visit for the day we came home from the hospital, and it was one of the best decisions we made. She helped me get my recovery supplies organized, set up the baby's bassinet and other essentials, and made our transition home feel so much less overwhelming. One of the most meaningful gifts she gave us was a beautifully written birth story that she documented throughout my labor and delivery. It's such a special keepsake that I'll treasure forever. Looking back, I honestly can't think of anything I wish Angela had done differently. She exceeded every expectation we had. My partner and I are so grateful for her guidance, compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support.

I don’t even know where to begin lavishing praise on Angela. I had an unexpectedly long + challenging labor with my second — prodromal labor AND PROM — and I can confidently say I would not have mentally survived if not for Angela. From our initial meeting her warm, empathetic, compassionate + hilarious soul nearly lept through the screen. I scrambled to hire her + thank Whoever I did because I needed every drop of that soul she could spare! She went above + beyond my wildest expectations both in terms of standard doula care + personal commitment. She was so easy to talk to, always open and took some of the things we talked about and created the most beautiful trinkets out of them for my labor. I experienced a lot of doubt + despair in early labor, but it was beautifully calmed by Angela’s sympathetic, tender presence + the environment she effortlessly created in my room — even the nurses were awed by what she did. The moments that will stay with me forever are when I was in active labor + pushing. I birthed unmedicated, so was on another plane, but vividly remember Angela gently handing me things to squeeze right at the moment I needed it most. She jumped in when appropriate + stood back when needed as well. She was the absolute perfect person to be by my husband + my side. She helped us walk through all possibilities that were presented to us throughout in terms of induction, medication alternatives + she gave me the exact validation I needed right after my baby was born. I’ll never forget her encouragement + praise of me. There were some rough moments involving the medical staff, but Angela’s kindness + genuine caring is louder in my memory. Not only would you not regret hiring Angela, you will be including one of the most skilled, empathetic, resourceful, supportive, most beautiful people to be by your side for such a momentous time in in your life. You could not ask for a better person or doula. I’m honored she helped usher in my second baby + they will forever know her name.

Angela was a phenomenal birth doula and we totally recommend her to any family! After my 4-day long labor where I hemorrhaged and tore with my first child, I was anxious and wary about how my second birth would go. I came to Angela with various requests and fears and she helped guide me through them all. Angela is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about pregnancy, labor, and birth. We LOVED all of the resources she shared with us. During labor, she was with us for it's entirety and she was such a cheerleader. She was hands on, an expert guide, and was beyond proactive when leading me through stretches/movements/exercises, shielding me from the medical noise, and advocating for my desires. In the end, I delivered my baby much faster than my first, I did not tear nor hemorrhage and I came home feeling bliss and redemption. You need Angela at your birth!!!

From the moment we met Angela, it felt like we knew her for ever, just felt like family some how. This being our first child, and both of our families on the midwest; we were a bit nervous.

My wife was thinking about her testimonial and I insisted on writing one too. We had a very unique and unfortunate situation so my wife had to induce labor 5 weeks early.
