I am a Jesus follower, invested mom, joyful homeschooler, a passionate Birth Doula, Christian Childbirth Educator and Breastfeeding Counselor. I accompany women in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. I have received education and completed training for the doula’s role from DONA International and Hartland College, School of Midwifery. I draw on my knowledge and experience to provide emotional and spiritual support, physical comfort and, as needed, communication with the staff to make sure that you have the information you need to make informed decisions in labor. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress and help with relaxation, prayer, soothing touch, positioning and other techniques for comfort.
There is no way I can fully express my gratitude for Eva and the fact that I was able to have her by my side as my doula. It's no exaggeration when I say it made ALL the difference in my birth and I can't imagine what it would have been like if she was not there. Not only is Eva a skilled and experienced doula in the matters of childbirth but she is an incredible listener and support which is so critical at such a vulnerable time. She gives you the space and respect you need but is a source of strength and wisdom when you need to lean on her. She was always available, incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely respected our wishes and experience which is hard to come by these days. Everything you would hope for in an ideal doula and more. Working with her was an actual blessing from God; I will be forever grateful. Where many people in the industry can dismiss or minimize your experience, Eva sincerely cared and honored us throughout. She went above and beyond and her love for the Lord shows in her character and the reverence she brings to her clients and her calling. Anyone who works with her is incredibly lucky to have her by their side.

I am a Birth Doula that is passionate about working with families to help them achieve the birth experience that they are looking for. I provide emotional, physical and educational support during pregnancy, labor and delivery, as well as during the postpartum period.
Susan is absolutely amazing and I would recommend her to anyone! My husband and I had never considered the idea of having a doula for my pregnancy and birth of our son, but then we attended a class that she helped teach. The benefits of having a doula were explained and we instantly knew that we wanted to have one. Susan was so informative, excited about her work and welcoming - we connected with her right away! We loved how involved she was from the very beginning of us deciding to work with her. She met with us to determine if she would be a good fit - which she was! Once we hired her as our doula, we had multiple lunches to discuss our birth preferences and to answer any and all questions we had. During birth and delivery, she helped us determine when contractions were close enough to head to the hospital, she helped me work through the pain, and made us feel safe and prepared. When it was time for me to push, my son had the cord wrapped around and his stats were dropping. Susan, the doctors and the nurses helped keep me calm throughout that and made sure me and baby were safe! Once our son was born, Susan stayed with us to help with skin to skin and with the initial breastfeeding. We were so worried that I would have a traumatic birth, but with Susan by our side that was absolutely NOT the case. If / when we have another baby, we will 1000% have her by our side again - we LOVE her!

I am someone who truly listens to what moms want and need. I believe that every future mother should not only be able to have a birth plan but that every birth plan goes as planned. I am a mother of 3. I have had 3 sections but also know what it’s like to have dreams of wanting to have a vbac and not being successful. Just because my birth plan wasn’t successful doesn’t mean yours has to be too.
SHE DOES AMAZING BABY PICTURES THANK YOU GIRL

Hi! My name is Witley Smith! I started my birth doula journey in November of 2024. Ever since I was young I have always loved helping mothers care for their babies. Once I learned about birth doulas I knew that is what I was meant to do! I want to help mamas have a joyous birth experience. I have completed the training for my Birth Doula Certification along with my Lactation Support Certification. I am currently in the process of becoming a DONA International affiliate. I am trained, but I need experience of being the primary Birth Doula in order to complete my application with DONA. I am looking for mamas who are willing to let me serve them, and support them through their beautiful birth. My services will be discounted as I am a new doula looking for experience. I chose the name Serving Dreams Birth Doula Services, because I believe every mother should be served the birth she has always dreamed. No need or want for a mother is too small or frivolous. I want to make my mamas feel comforted, supported, and empowered. My favorite quote that I have learned through my birth doula journey is "You grow the baby you were meant to birth".
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Witley. I have known her for years and have seen her mature into a strong, determined and intelligent young woman. She has helped me with all 5 of my children throughout the years. My last child was born 6.5 weeks premature and she was there whenever I needed her help. She is amazing with children of all ages especially newborns. I would highly recommend her knowing the training she has gone through to become a certified birth doula. She would be my choice if I were having anymore children!

I’m Shonna, owner of Growing and Graced, and I offer prenatal and postpartum support to families in the Hampton Roads area virtually by request. I specialize in Natural Births at home as well as in Hospitals. My passion for educating families on prenatal wellness, family planning, labor and delivery support, and postpartum healing stems from a seed God planted in me that he has watered and matured this seed. The result is Growing and Graced, and I am so grateful. I want to return our birth journey to the way the Father intended. Birth is a process of growth, surrender, and preparation, and with the proper support, you can have the successful pregnancy, labor, and birth you desire! Thank you for stopping by, and I would love to join your family as you embark on your season of transition!
I cannot say enough good things about Shonna!! This was my first experience with a doula and I highly recommend it for anyone having a child. From the first interaction during my second trimester, until our last interaction post delivery - she has been nothing short of amazing. Shonna was always calm, supportive, reassuring, and ALWAYS saw the positive side of things. She is an expert in this profession and has made my first time with a doula an unforgettable experience. If I decide to have another one, she will be my first choice. Thank you so much Shonna for everything you did to help with the arrival of our baby!!

Elise is a ToLabor trained Professional Birth Doula, a CAPPA trained Postpartum Doula, an IPPA trained Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, and a Lamaze Trained Childbirth Educator. Elise also attended the University of Georgia and Piedmont College and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a mother to Theo and Georgia and is married to Todd. She entered into the doula field after her own birth, which showed her the importance of building a supportive birth and postpartum team. She continued to add trainings to help extend her knowledge about the many facets of birth and offer assistance through the postpartum time. Those trainings and workshops include: Acupressure in pregnancy and childbirth, Perinatal Loss and Grief, and Spinning Babies Techniques. Elise believes that education and unbiased support lead to each birthing family feeling empowered and informed when making childbirth decisions. After personally enduring a battle with postpartum depression, she hopes to help her clients feel supported through the entire childbirth experience including the fourth trimester. Through her work as a birth doula and her own experience, she saw her clients have beautiful births, but still struggle with energy and emotions during the postpartum experience. She offers placenta encapsulation as a holistic option to balance hormones, replenish iron, increase prolactin for milk production, and boost energy levels. Outside of the birth world, Elise enjoys cheering for UGA (Go Dawgs!), arranging flowers, reading, retail therapy, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.
I absolutely credit Elise with the amazing positive empowering birth experience I was able to have as a first time mom. Her presence is soothing, confident, and maternal. My husband was so happy to have her there, so reassuring and helpful. Even though we arrived in the delivery room as I was in transition, she still managed to set the ambiance and calm mood I needed for the space. For anyone on the fence, I would say absolutely go for it. Having a doula is everything I had hoped it would be. I will be calling her when it’s time for baby #2

Hi, my name is Grace Brian and I’m a birth doula and birth photographer in the Roanoke Valley! I specifically love supporting people through hospital births and teaching them how to advocate for themselves in the modern healthcare system!
YOU NEED GRACE! If you’re going back & forth about needing a doula, YOU NEED A DOULA! It takes so much pressure off you and your birth partner to have the support and advocacy of a doula beside you. This is one time you need to take as much pressure off yourself as possible. While it's extra money, my husband & I both agree it’s SO WORTH IT! And Grace made it affordable. We were so thankful to have Grace by our side for the birth of our 2nd child. She's so knowledgeable & willing to help every step of the way. After hiring Grace, she checked in regularly, was always willing to answer questions, & met up with us to ensure we had the best plan in place. When I went into labor, Grace helped me think through next steps & was ready to meet us at the hospital. It felt like having a trusted friend there, making the whole process more comfortable. You won’t feel judged or pushed to do anything you don’t want to do with Grace. She just wants to help give you the birth experience that YOU want.

As a nurse and community advocate, I have been disheartened by the maternal- fetal mortality and morbidity rates among minority women in the U.S. I want to combat these increasing rates by helping women achieve their utmost and most desirable birth experiences by provider birth planning, childbirth education, labor and postpartum support. Whether you are planning for a natural labor at home or a more medically assisted birth in a hospital, I am will be there to assist in the birth experience you deserve! My personal mission is to support and advocate for childbearing women of any age.
Wanda is amazing! I had my daughter in my late 30 thirties and experience many complications. I don't know how I would have made it without Wanda. The care she took in explaining things to, helping me reduce my stress, helping me to prepare for my daughters birth was a blessing. She continued this care well after I had my daughter. Wanda provided, additional breast feeding support and guidance. With Wanda you are with family. She cares about you and takes every steps necessary to endure a successful birth and mom after. What an amazing soul!!

Hi, I'm Chloe! I am a mom to my almost two-year-old son, Ezra and a Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula through Stillbirthday. I am here to support you in birth as well as guide you through pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding! I have dreamed of being a mom since I was a child. I knew for a very long time that was what I wanted to do with my life. Before I got pregnant, I discovered doulas and thought, "I would love to do that." I was blessed to have one support me through birth and that only further lit the fire within me to chase that dream and help support moms through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Chloe is such a caring and compassionate soul. She is an excellent listener and calms any fears. She helped me during the last weeks of my pregnancy and during my breast feeding journey. She was someone I could rely on and felt very seen and heard. Anyone would be lucky to have her on their birth team!

Hello All!!! My name is D'Starr. My passion is serving my community as a birth doula, postpartum doula, a montrice (a doula that performs limited clinical skills), and maternity self care specialist. I am also currently serving the community in a home birth Midwifery practice as a Student Midwife.
Starr is so much more than a birth doula! She is like family. We met before I had my baby and mentioned I wanted to get my hair braided before I went into labor and she said she's a licensed cosmetologist too, so I asked her to braid my hair at our next appointment and she did not disappoint! Then at the birth she was so knowledgeable and understanding. Me and my family definitely felt safe and secure with her by our side.

Hello Lovelies, My name is Paiten Dodd, and I am certified birth doula (DONA), certified breastfeeding specialists, and an Obstetrics Registered Nurse. I take pleasure in providing you (and your partner) with the best treatment, unwavering support, and resources before, during, and after birth. My goal is to make the transition to parenthood as stress-free as possible, allowing you (and your partner, if applicable) to have a pleasant and gratifying experience. As a doula and nurse, I am able to provide clients with evidence-based education, adequate support, and the birth experience they deserve. I am dedicated to making sure you come first, you are heard, and the vibes are always good! Remember the contractions are strong, but you are powerful! Let's have a BIRTHday :)
I don’t even know where to begin. Paiten is a gem. She has such a gentle spirit and kind heart. This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know what to expect. Terrified, fearing the unknown, Paiten put all my worries to rest before, during, and after my delivery. I have nothing to compare labor and delivery to, BUT I can say it was a great experience with Paiten by our side. When I felt that I wasn’t being heard or had concerns I couldn’t voice, Paiten stepped in. When I needed guidance during contractions, Paiten stepped in. When needing help with labor progression, you guessed it, Paiten stepped in and guided us every step of the way! As you see, I could go on and on AND ON! My family is still raving about Paiten 8 weeks postpartum! 10/10 recommend Paiten and her services to any mommies out there!

HELLO! My name is Shantella Williams! I am a state certified perinatal health specialist as a birth and postpartum doula. As a child growing up in a in home daycare and watching my parents daycare grow into a center I always knew I wanted to be a COMMUNITY WORKER as well. Working with mothers and their children has become a strong passion of mine. Graduating and receiving my certifications justified my feelings towards the safety and security mothers and their children deserve. Becoming a doula has been a journey. My passion for this field, combined with my respect for mothers and all they endure makes me eager to get on board. With a genuine and nurturing nature combined with a professional and ambitious approach, I possess the primary skills needed in my career. Including being supportive, knowledgeable, caring and having patience. These qualities will contribute to every client while positively highlighting the professionalism and competencies within myself. During my labor she was there the whole way, never left my side and she talked & comforted me through the entire delivery 😭 now that we’re home she’s been doing visits, being a BIG help and just making sure my baby and I are okay. She’s been a very important piece to my puzzle and I’m so grateful for her! Thanks Shantella, I’ll definitely be recommending you to everyone I know love !!!

"I wish I knew about this sooner!" I hear this phrase frequently by newer parents. A s a Doula, I provide more than ice chips and a hand to crush during labor. I specialize in perinatal anxiety & mood disorders (PMAD) and provide education, resources, and support for those who think they may, or are already experiencing PMAD's. This transition is hard. It's not just welcoming home a new baby, it's radically accepting a new identity, a new routine, a new personality of yourselves. Theres no reason to have to struggle through alone thinking something is wrong with you. This is very common. I'd love to help you adjust in the ways that matter; relevant education, real-life local resources, and hands-on support.
Katie helps me feel seen & heard in the best way. Before, I thought I was a monster for the thoughts I had. Now, I know these thoughts and feelings are common, and there is help available. I appreciated having been able to talk to her and know that she is listening and not judging me for some of the horrible horrible things I would say. Thank you Katie. I really needed someone to just hear me.

I am a Certified Birth Photographer and Certified Full Spectrum Doula serving Denver, Colorado and surrounding areas. My love for birth started at a young age, but it wasn't until I birthed my daughter that I found my passion. I believe that everyone's pregnancy journey and birth story matters. You will carry your experience with you for the rest of your life. As your doula and birth photographer, it is my responsibility to support you, advocate for you when necessary, and document the beautiful moments of your birth. I believe that birth is natural and all about trusting yourself, your body, and the process. I also believe that it is your right to determine what the best birth is for your family. I offer support for all types of families. I am also bilingual (Spanish/English). It does not matter if you are having a home birth or a scheduled cesarean. My main goal is to ensure that you have all of the information you need in order to make an informed decision. No matter what decision you make, I will always have your back. As a parent who has just recently gone through my own pregnancy and birth journey, I understand how lonely it can feel. Know that you are never alone. I will be there to listen whenever you need to talk to someone about how you feel or you just need to release your emotions. I will believe in you even when you don't. You are strong, capable, and powerful. And I'll be there to remind you every time you doubt yourself.
Carla was an absolute angel during my pregnancy and birth experience. She provided unwavering support and guidance every step of the way, ensuring that I had the tools needed for the entire process. Her calm demeanor and extensive knowledge of childbirth made me feel safe, and I truly couldn't have done it without her. I would highly recommend her services to anyone seeking a compassionate doula.
