Hi I’m Emily! 🥳 I’m a Jesus follower, Wife, Mama, & Birth & Postpartum Doula! I believe every mother deserves to be supported with compassion and intention as she helps her babies grow and come into the world. In my personal pregnancy journey, I experienced a successful diet-based management of my Gestational Diabetes followed by a peaceful homebirth. God has created us to do beautiful, strong, awe inspiring things & I continue to feel a deep sense of honor to hold space for the mamas I work with at home, birth centers, and hospitals! If you think we would be a good fit, I’d love to chat and I look forward to meeting you soon!
Emily was my doula for two of my babies, first as a post partum doula and then as my birth doula. She is compassionate, thoughtful, dedicated, and so joyful. Her impact was felt in her encouragement from the first contractions to learning how to breastfeed. She was a supportive and calming presence in otherwise chaotic times, and very attentive to the needs of the moment. When it got tough, I was so glad to have Emily to keep me grounded. She would be an amazing support for any mom.

I truly don’t know how we would’ve made it through those first few weeks without her. From the moment she stepped into our home, she brought such a calm, reassuring presence. She cared for our baby with such gentleness, but she also cared for me—making sure I was resting, eating, and emotionally supported. She answered all my questions (big and small) with so much compassion and knowledge. It felt like having a best friend, a baby whisperer, and a lifeline all in one. If you’re on the fence about hiring a postpartum doula—do it, and do it with her. You won’t regret it!

I’m Kelley, St. Louis birth doula, mom to 3 boys, married to the guy I fell in love with in high school. I became obsessed with birth after our first was born via cesarean after an induction for “dates” for “failure to progress.” Air quotes intended. The disappointment I felt surprised me; I dove into research about birth in America. I learned all about my fertility, chose a provider who would be supportive of a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), and hired a doula. Best laid plans and all that… I had a cesarean for high blood pressure at 42 weeks. I definitely still felt disappointed over his birth, but because I was educated and well supported, I knew we had made the best decisions with the options we had. I still planned for VBA2C for baby #3, and was able to push him out of my body right into his daddy’s hands – with a lot of help from my medical team for high blood pressure again, and so much support from my doula. When my former industry got flip-turned upside down and my structural engineering days were forced to end, I decided to follow my passion and dreams and become a birth doula, and now life has moved us from our native Houston to St. Louis. I see my role as a birth doula like being a good coach. I’m on the sidelines with all the information for you, but you’re the one who has to execute the plays. I’m here to educate you and support you whether you’re having a baby at home in the water with twinkle lights, epidural or not at the hospital, or a planned cesarean. I’m going to meet you where you are and dig down into that hole with you. And after the baby is here and you’re overwhelmed, I’m available to help you out, listen to you, and get you through those first few weeks. When I’m not doula-ing, I’m training Jiu Jitsu, at the baseball fields, a wrestling meet, a choir or band event, playing banjo, or I’ve got my nose stuck in a book. And I’m always down for some Tex-Mex.
Kelley is the absolute best! From the moment we started working with Kelley during my first pregnancy, I knew she was the perfect fit for our birth team. I wanted to approach birth like an athlete—mentally and physically prepared, with a strong advocate by my side—and Kelley was exactly that. She was both coach and champion for me and my husband, ensuring we felt confident, informed, and supported every step of the way. When labor came, she was instrumental in helping me stay focused and in control. The movements she guided me through were game-changers, especially when my baby’s heart rate fluctuated during contractions. Thanks to her expertise, we were able to avoid additional interventions and stay on track for the vaginal birth I had planned. The nurses were raving about Kelley, praising how seamlessly she worked with them, understanding the plan of care and adjusting strategies in real time. Her presence brought a sense of calm, strength, and reassurance that I truly believe made all the difference in my experience. Without a doubt, Kelley will be a part of our birth team again when we welcome our next child. If you’re looking for a doula who will advocate fiercely, support you completely, and help you approach birth with confidence, Kelley is the one you want by your side. Thank you, Kelley, for being such an incredible part of our journey!

I first met Shelby when she was 14 years old and even then, she was interested in childbirth. She had an inquisitive mind and a munificent heart. I had my daughter when Shelby was 16 and even at that young age, she was my biggest supporter. My husband at the time was clueless, like most first time dads, and my mom lived 4 hours away. Shelby checked on me frequently and encouraged me to advocate for myself during my pregnancy, all while being a kid and focusing on her schooling. I was induced on a Friday night at 37 weeks and unfortunately, ended up needing to have a c-section the following Sunday morning. Even though it was not the outcome I wanted, Shelby was at the hospital with me all weekend prior to my c-section while I was in labor (along with my husband at the time, my mom and my brother). Shelby’s presence during labor calmed me. She understood the balance between fun and serious. Whether I needed ice chips, someone to distract me during a contraction or to sit on the medicine ball, Shelby seemed to anticipate my needs before I could articulate them. As a very anxious first-time mom, that was so important to me. Shelby has only become more compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced as a doula over the last 13 years. She takes her clients needs seriously and will do everything in her power to make you feel comfortable during your labor.

Hello my name is Doula Asia . I like to consider myself as a DOULAPRENEUR I am the owner of Doula Love, Light, & Life LLC. I am a Mom, Community Health Worker and Maternal Health Advocate. I became a full spectrum doula in 2020 because I want all birthing people to know they have options and a voice that can and will be heard when it comes to their body and baby. I want to help you know what questions to ask your provider, to know how to advocate for yourself, and to know there is someone in your corner to support you through pregnancy/birth/and postpartum journey. Motherhood is a beautiful thing but there is no manual on how we should be a mother but if you have the right support team it will be one of our greatest moments.
Asia was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable throughout my entire birthing and postpartum experience so far. She made sure that she knew all of my preferences for my birth plan far ahead of time and prepped me for as many natural pain remedies possible. I love how she included my mother and my partner, providing knowledge necessary to all of us during our meetings. Asia continuously checks in with me to ensure mine and the baby's health on a regular basis. She truly made my birth a comfortable and non-judgmental space for creating life. I would not have wanted to bring my baby into the world any other way. As a first time mom, I can definitely say that Asia made me feel prepared and supported the entire time. She is amazing!

My name is Chelsea and I am a DONA international certified doula and GentleBirth childbirth educator with a passion for supporting mothers and families during their pregnancy journey. I have kids who have all been born in countries not my own and can understand the challenges that come with that. I provide continuous care and a constant presence during labor as well as support during the months leading up to the day your little one comes earth side.
After watching all of the beautiful and peaceful homebirths I was very disappointed that I was advised to go to the hospital due to my son being measured too small during my third trimester. After spending a night there I got very nervous and anxious and didn't quite know how it was all going to work out, as I was hell-bent on wanting a natural birth without being pushed by the Gynaecologist to induce my contractions. And in walks the lovely Chelsea...a clinical doula, something I knew existed (a doula) just not provided as a service in the hospital! Chelsea and I instantly connected and with her soft and sweet voice she helped me with breathing exercises, taking my mind away from the intense extractions. She even brought her own natural coconut oil with which she massaged all the areas that hurt or simply needed the pressure. She also spoke with the Gynaecologist and reassured my contractions we're coming every 10/5 minutes or so, which gave us the opportunity to initiate my labour naturally. I heard lots of horrible birth stories, especially those in hospitals, but I can honestly say I had an absolute wonderful birth thanks to Chelsea. Truly a gift from above to may have had you there with me. Both my partner and mother still ask about her and would love to see her again. We are eternally grateful for her and wish her all the best!

I became a doula to inform moms of things they may not be aware of. To support and care for women in such a sacred time is an honor. I want to do my best to decrease the maternal mortality rate for black women by ensuring they stand firm in their decisions and question any and everything. I offer pregnancy, birth and postpartum doula services. I am also available for virtual doula services for those who are out of state/region.
