About me

Hi, I’m Sienna, the doula behind Playful Roots 🌱. I hold a degree in Child Development and bring years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early years of parenting. My approach is rooted in evidence-based care, compassion, and respect for your unique journey. As a doula, I believe deeply in client-centered care—your voice, values, and choices lead the way. My role is to provide information, emotional support, and a steady presence so that you feel confident and cared for. I’m here to protect your autonomy, create space for your preferences, and help you feel grounded through all the transitions of birth and postpartum.

Birth planning support: Let's plan and prepare for your birth- create your own Doula out of your partner! Birth-only: for the experienced birther. We will meet once to get to know each other and then I will be on call to join you for your birth at 38 weeks. The whole Journey: 2-3 prenatals, on-call at 38 weeks, full birth support and one postnatal session to debrief. Postpartum support- Here to support you in any way- cleaning, cooking, taking care of babe so you can rest, shower or get out of the house!

Looking for support in creating your birth plan and managing the preparation of your birth? Let’s create your individualized birth plan together and talk through the phases & stages of labour- I can help provide suggestions for pain-relief and partner support during each phase. This will include a free consultation and two sessions- either virtual or in person.

Birth Only

Heart-centred birth support without the prenatal sessions! Perfect for parents who already feel prepared and have their birth plan in place. We’ll meet once before your birth to connect and get to know each other, and then I’ll be on-call to support you during labour starting at 37 weeks.

Looking for heart-centred birth support? This package includes two prenatal sessions to prepare, in-person support during labour, and one postpartum visit to help you settle in. You'll also have access to 24/7 virtual support as your due date approaches—because questions (and feelings!) don’t stick to business hours.
