Hi I’m Riley (she/her), your sanity-saving birth & baby bestie (aka doula). - 1 in-home prenatal visit (Creating a cesarean birth plan, Preparing for bringing home baby after cesarean birth, Cesarean recovery considerations, Preparing for parenthood) - Unlimited 24/7 text support - Day of support (Assistance checking in, Help settling in + setting up your room, Advocacy of your wishes with the birth team, Facilitation of birth team conversations, Emotional support with jitters, Birth attendance (doctor permitting), Immediate recovery and postpartum support for 3 hours) - Up to 1hr in-person support within 24hrs after birth - 5 Edited birth-day photos - 4x 3hr in-home postbirth support

At first, I didn’t think I wanted a doula. I was using midwives and didn’t think a doula would be necessary. However, after reading stats on how doulas can help reduce C-section rates -and knowing I wanted a VBAC- I decided to have Riley be my doula anyway. I’m so happy I did as Riley was an essential part of our team! She provided my husband and I with just enough support while also allowing us space to do our thing. She was as involved as we wanted her to be from giving massages and speaking affirmations during labour to feeding me toast while I held my newborn baby after his birth. She sat with me before my labour discussing my fears and hopes, and in the days following my labour she sat with me and processed all that had happened with me. I’m so grateful for how she supported me through the whole experience and look forward to having her at any future births I may have.
