My name is Virginia Parent. I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula located in Venice, Florida. I have been a Doula for the last 5 years serving families from Lakewood Ranch, Myakka city, to Fort Myers. I believe all families deserve to have a supported birth experience. As a mother of 4, I have experienced two hospital births, one which was an induction and a NICU baby; and I have experienced two midwife supported water births. I have formula fed, exclusively pumped, and exclusively breastfed. My large range of personal experience helps me to remind my clients that birth has a wide range of normal and allows me to relate, personally, to clients no matter how they choose to give birth. I am here to help mother's experience a cozy and welcoming journey into their new roles as mothers and as a family. As a postpartum doula I believe in supporting every family through that first year of parenthood. Whether it is for first time parents or for 5th time parents, we all need a helping hand. I pride myself on putting aside my own personal parenting style and helping to assist parents in finding what works best for their family and their lifestyle. I am happy to assist during difficult transitions such as sleep regression, food aversion, and breastfeeding/bottle feeding struggles. I am versed in pumping schedules that can help clients achieve their goals. I am happy to assist in developing routine and schedules or simply reinforcing a 'go-with-the-flow' method. I am here to help parents feel well rested through night nanny work and providing light housework to reduce the household load on the new family. My goal as a postpartum doula is to ensure you are recovering, connecting, and adjusting to your new journey with your newest addition!

Hi 👋🏾 My name is Edrina Gilbert & I am a Birth/Labor & Postpartum Doula. I am also a Childbrith Educator & Breastfeeding Counselor. I am a wife & mother of two! I became a Doula to be able to provide the emotional support & strength for mothers during the whole journey!
Drina went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and prepared for the day! I was freaking out because at 41 weeks my baby still hadn't come and i was due for induction. My first baby was also induced, and because of the pitocin i begged for an epidural and ended up with a catheter, more stitches, longer recovery, lasting back pain, etc. The first induction took 21 hours. Yesterday i had my second baby via pitocin induction without an epidural! My dream come true. It was painful but she kept me in the zone. She had me laughing and oozing oxytocin and just going with the pain. It was like out of a movie. The nurses were saying that i had the kind of birth they read about in textbooks but never see up close in person. I started pitocin at 11:45am and baby was here by 3:13pm. Having Drina there was such a game changer. I would 100% recommend her and have her there at any future births as long as she’s willing. I am eternally grateful.

Postpartum Night Doula serving the greater Sarasota, Siesta Key & Tampa area. Being a night nanny is my favorite type of work. I became a Certified Birth & PP Doula through DONA in 2005. I'm here to ensure you get the much needed sleep for your body to heal. WHAT MAKES ME UNIQUE: I will sit with your infant postpartum should they require NICU support. This will help parents sleep or return to work. I look forward to speaking with you! Suzanne 440-465-0792 (text/call) slwconsultinginc@aol.com
Suzanne came rolling into our hospital room with a big smile, a positive attitude & several relaxation methods. She turned down the lights, closed the door, put on lullaby music and transported me to a less intimidating environment. It was like I was at the spa (well, almost lol).

My passion is educating women and their birth companions so that they know what their options are for labor and birth. Only when you know your options can you actually give informed consent. This way women can create thier own best pregnancy and physiologic birth. I have a degree in Psychology and a background in biofeedback. All of these things came together when I found the HypnoBirthing natural childbirth method while I was pregnant with my fourth son 17 years ago. My midwife encouraged me to become certified after that birth. I was trained by the founder of HypnoBirthing. Marie Mongan in 2007.
My husband and I took Wendy’s HypnoBirthing class and hired her as our doula. I would definitely recommend the class if you’re even slightly interested in having a natural birth. It was one of the best things we did. Hiring Wendy as a doula made me feel more comfortable in having a hospital birth. She came to our house when labor progressed and offered advice and suggestions on how to keep feeling comfortable. I would not have been able to have the birth experience I had without Wendy by my side! We also used her for placenta encapsulation and she brought them to our house soon after we got home! Would highly recommend!

She was one of the only people we could trust with our son, and we trusted her more than any of our family members! She is a natural caregiver who is kind and so very attentive to the needs of a newborn baby. We are so grateful to have found Brittany, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for compassionate, reliable, professional, and experienced childcare for their newborn!

Hi, I'm Maybelline - I bet you're like... 🎶 Maybe it's Maybelline 🎶 I'm a Journalist dropout turned birth and postpartum nerd. I'm a certified Health Coach + Certified Birth Doula + Certified Postpartum Doula + Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator and most recently a Certified VBAC Specialist. I also trained with Michel Odent, Liliana Lammers, and Ina May Gaskin, so as you can see... I don't half @s$ anything I'm interested in. This is fantastic for you because I have spent countless hours learning and understanding that birth and postpartum are the most transformative seasons in a woman's life. What happens in birth, will stay with you for the rest of your life! I know from experience that as much as our bodies know how to grow and birth a baby, sometimes, the body or our minds act like a toddler at the checkout line of the supermarket after their mom said no to the candy bar -you know what I'm talking about- and throw a tantrum in the middle of the pregnancy, so having the support that you need is crucial. Evidence-based information, mindset, context, and intuition are essential components in pregnancy. Knowing what you want and don't want is equally important. You and your partner deserve to explore different options without bias because you have power and you should use it to make the choices that feel right to YOU. Birth is not a one-size-fits-all all! So I am committed to giving you the tools you need to feel empowered by information instead of scared of the what-ifs - Here's where the mindset comes into play. I am Venezuelan and live in Cape Coral, Fl with my husband Marcelo and four children, Bruno, Oliver, Giovanni, and Hannah - I know! I pick great names! 🤩

Hello I'm Courtney (she/her)! I am a cross trained doula, certified through ProDoula. I am a mom of 6 kids ages 16-4. As a former military spouse, my kids were born in 4 different states! I moved to FL in OCT 2019. My oldest was a traumatic labor and delivery. It was with a provider that I didn't research and everything felt out of my control. It was rushed, medicated, and scary. After that I promised myself to have a better birth next time. All of my other children have been natural births, in the hospital, with a midwife. I decided to become a doula early into 2021 after finding out I was going to be an aunt. I researched and learned and realized that this is my passion. As a doula I offer many forms of support and aid. I am trained in natural pain relief positioning, comforting touch, and breathing techniques. I am an emotional support to ensure that families have a positive birthing experience. I also am a support to your birth partner, whether your birth partner is a spouse, parent, romantic partner, family member, or friend. I help to make sure your birth partner is as involved as you wish them to be. I help you to make informed decisions that work best for you and your birth experience. I believe in informing my clients, not influencing them. I advocate for you! I will help your voice and wishes be heard so you can have the birth that you want and deserve. I want to make sure things are done with your consent and understanding. Whether you choose a hospital, birthing center or home birth, whether you want a medicated or unmedicated birth, a doula is an integral part of your birth. I hope to join you in this special time in your life.

Hey there! My name is Brittany aka Bejay. I am a married mother of five children ranging from 16 years old to 18 months old. I am located in Tampa, Florida serving in the Hillsborough county and surrounding areas. I am currently a Birth & Postpartum & infant care doula! When I was 18 years old I attending nursing school. Labor and delivery was my FAVORITE unit but I knew that, that was not the way I wanted to help birthing people. As my own family grew my desire to have an out of hospital birth increased. With my fourth and fifth pregnancies I was able to fulfil those desires with my sister acting as my doula. With the level of care I received I knew that being a birth worker was where I could help! My heart is to provide help to all families alike. Walking, standing, or squatting (LOL) along side them on their beautiful journey! No birth is the exact same so I strive to be not only supportive but inclusive as well! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wild and crazy family!
Bejay has gots to be my favorite doula out of all 5 of the doulas I have had . She does her job correct and always thinks win win !

Motherhood it’s simply fascinating. All of my life I’ve been intrigued by it, and after having my first five children I decided to begin this journey as a Doula - and we have since added two more babies to our bunch. It is an honor and privilege to be the laboring mama‘s support as she transitions into the season of motherhood. Through my own experience, as well as experience of the women in my life, I have learned how very different many women can react to labor. There are lots of strategies and techniques to get through each contraction, and I just love empowering women to allow their bodies to do just that. I would love the opportunity to serve you and your growing family as you bring your sweet babe into the world 🤍
