Hi, I'm Maybelline - I bet you're like... 🎶 Maybe it's Maybelline 🎶 I'm a Journalist dropout turned birth and postpartum nerd. I'm a certified Health Coach + Certified Birth Doula + Certified Postpartum Doula + Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator and most recently a Certified VBAC Specialist. I also trained with Michel Odent, Liliana Lammers, and Ina May Gaskin, so as you can see... I don't half @s$ anything I'm interested in. This is fantastic for you because I have spent countless hours learning and understanding that birth and postpartum are the most transformative seasons in a woman's life. What happens in birth, will stay with you for the rest of your life! I know from experience that as much as our bodies know how to grow and birth a baby, sometimes, the body or our minds act like a toddler at the checkout line of the supermarket after their mom said no to the candy bar -you know what I'm talking about- and throw a tantrum in the middle of the pregnancy, so having the support that you need is crucial. Evidence-based information, mindset, context, and intuition are essential components in pregnancy. Knowing what you want and don't want is equally important. You and your partner deserve to explore different options without bias because you have power and you should use it to make the choices that feel right to YOU. Birth is not a one-size-fits-all all! So I am committed to giving you the tools you need to feel empowered by information instead of scared of the what-ifs - Here's where the mindset comes into play. I am Venezuelan and live in Cape Coral, Fl with my husband Marcelo and four children, Bruno, Oliver, Giovanni, and Hannah - I know! I pick great names! 🤩
