Although I have not experienced any of my own pregnancies, I have physically, mentally, and emotionally with my mom's three experiences. I've seen my mom go through each pregnancy differently as well as each of their births being unique in their own way but beautiful in every way. I have experienced seeing a supportive birth team by your side helps every woman feel more empowered and supported during this beautiful experience. My reason for becoming a birth doula is to come alongside each woman to support their desired birth plan and help them feel empowered through a vulnerable time.

My path to becoming a doula was forged during a deeply personal experience, as I navigated the challenges of healing my own womb from an ovarian cyst. Faced with the possibility of losing an ovary and the potential inability to have more children, I turned to holistic remedies and the power of herbs. Through this transformative journey, I not only healed myself but also discovered a profound calling to share the knowledge I gained with other women of color who often face similar struggles with womb health. Driven by this newfound purpose, I embarked on a mission to become a holistic fertility doula. As I delved into the realm of fertility, I uncovered not only the prevalence of womb health issues among women of color but also the systemic disparities and injustices they face in their pregnancy and delivery experiences. This revelation ignited a fire within me to advocate for fair treatment and support for all mothers-to-be.

Yose is a Holistic Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Educator, and Birthrights advocate in Orange County, California. Her passion for Birth Work began in 2020 when she got pregnant with her daughter Kailani. During pregnancy she prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually for labor, but did not prepare for the postpartum period. With no family or support around made her 4th trimester a very difficult time for her and her partner. Yose completed her Birth Worker training with Bebo Mia Inc when her daughter was only 3 months old. After the training she realized that she wanted to take a more ancestral approach in birth work, and began learning about Mexican Birth and Postpartum Traditions. She Is constantly growing and learning! As your Doula Yose will walk with you through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

Nicolle Kasch is a Hypnobirthing practitioner, certified hypnotherapist, fertility & birth doula, and all around impassioned nerd surrounding topics such as fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, and human rights. Since 2014 she has been helping families feel more informed, confident and empowered to achieve their goals as they welcome a new little soul into their lives. I'm Brazilian, and I'm a mom of two girls. My cultural Background and my daughter's birth experiences are deeply connected to my decision to become a doula. Growing up, I used to listen to my mother's birth stories, which helped me see childbirth as a grand and beautiful event. For me, the idea of giving birth was always sacred - but it was through the births of my two daughters that I truly understood what it means to give birth. After my second birth, I knew I wanted to become the kind of support person who had been essential to me during my own experience. In 2021 I began walking the path to become a Doula.

I am a DONA certified and Medi-Cal approved birth doula and mother of two. I believe birth is a natural physiological process, and a sacred passage: for mother, parents, baby, and family. I understand pregnancy and childbirth to be a deeply transformative time. As a Christian, I celebrate every baby born into the world as a unique and precious gift from God. My passion to become a birth doula grew from witnessing my nephew's birth and then having two boys of my own. Like many women, I was fearful of childbirth due to my limited understanding. Birth was rarely talked about by the women in my life and if it was, pain was typically the main subject. Watching my nephew’s birth showed me that birth can be beautiful. I believe that as women, our bodies were designed by God to birth well. While complications do happen, they are not the rule. Birth is a natural physiological process. It is hard work and can be uncomfortable or painful, but that is not all. Birth is a transformative, life changing experience no matter how it happens: unmedicated or medicated, vaginal or cesarean, home birth, birth center, or hospital.
