About me

Hello, I am Taylor Huskey, I have been a DONA trained doula since 2014, after I had my own second home birth. I truly believe birth to be an empowering and beautiful experience that helps cement the bond between baby and momma. I use many different techniques that are individualized per client according to particular needs, I am familiar with the most common types of birthing coaching on the market and use pieces from many to accomplish the joyful birth individually desired. I am a safe, judgement free, woman empowering person. I completed 2 years of nursing school as well and work very well in hospital setting with Drs and Nurses as well as bring my medical knowledge to the table. I am highly trained in postpartum care, and postpartum depression. I am also a huge advocate for breastfeeding and have attended many breastfeeding courses and trainings. I have taught childbirth classes and natural family planning, and would be happy to offer those services as part of my package.

Service introduction

I offer customizable pkgs according to the needs and desires of the client. This can include childbirth education, postpartum care, breastfeeding consultation, family planning and birth control sessions. The base pkg includes 2 prenatal visits to discuss your ideal birth and get to know each other as well as this is when I put together your Birth Plan. I will be with you through the birth (regardless of how long) as soon as you call me and up to 4 hours postpartum, I will then do a 48 hr visit and a 72 hr visit to help with postpartum, infant care and breastfeeding.

Packages
Base Package
2 prenatal visits that include basic childbirth education, Q&A, getting to know each other and putting together your Birth Plan. I am available once hired for the remainder of your pregnancy and postpartum via phone/txt for any questions or complications that may arise. I will be on call for the two weeks between 38-40 weeks of your pregnancy and will come meet you at your desired location within the hour. I will stay through the entire birth regardless of how many hours and include up to 4 hours postpartum. I also include 2 postpartum visits for any infant care questions or breastfeeding consultation,as well as checking on the maternal and fetal health and mental health.

Childbirth Education Pkg
This package is the same as the base pkg except we add a childbirth education course, with prediscussion of the techniques you personally are interested in. This is usually done in 3 short sessions or one long one.

Family Planning and Postpartum
This pkg is also the same as the base pkg except it includes a long session on natural family planning, the hows, the whys, and the other medical options of birth control to help you decide how to plan your family size moving forward. This pkg also includes extra postpartum care in the form of 2 extra visits postpartum and available txt/call for up to 6 weeks postpartum with any infant care, breastfeeding, or general womens health help.
