As a birth doula, postpartum doula, and certified newborn care specialist, I’ve had the privilege of supporting dozens of families from labor and delivery through the fourth trimester. My work blends evidence-based care with compassionate presence—whether that means guiding parents through birth, creating restful overnight support, or helping establish nurturing routines for baby and family. My goal is always the same: to ensure families feel confident, cared for, and never alone in their journey. Outside of work, I live a full life filled with lots of travel with my partner, hiking with my three rescue dogs, Louie, Lily and Winter, spending lots of quality time with my nieces and nephews and friends and family.

Hi! My name is Yasmina. As a DONA-certified Birth Doula based in Greenwich, CT, I offer my clients evidence-based and curated support before, during, and after labor. From helping you make your birth plan that ensures you communicate your cultural, medical, and personal preferences to your care provider during labor, to working you through breathwork during those tough contractions, my aim is to make my clients' births special, sacred times that reflect their values and unique personalities. I am also trained in Spinning Babies techniques, lactation support, and Baby and Child First Aid. I offer my clients a very hands-on approach to birth support. I take my job as a birth doula very seriously and give my all to every birth I attend - emotionally and physically.
Yasmina was a vital part of my second pregnancy and labor and delivery. I don’t know what I would have done without her. To give some background, I had an emergency cerclage put in and I reached out to Yasmina after to inquire about her doula services. She listened to my concerns, my backstory, and my wishes. Not only was she attentive and caring, but because she knew there was a possibility the baby would be born early, she had a backup doula in case she was not back from out of town. That doula was also so attentive and was full of knowledge as well. Yasmina checked in with me consistently and when it was time, she came to the hospital immediately after I confirmed she should come. When there, she had so many strategies to help calm my mind and my body. She helped me think through decisions when it came to my labor and the hospital/doctors and she advocated for me. Yasmina knew I wanted to go natural/no epidural or Pitocin and we made a plan to do so. As the pain got more and more intense, she was encouraging and suggested different positions and coached me through the contractions and hard times. She applied pressure and made suggestions and had music and lighting and smells to set the scene in addition to different tools to help me through. I was in labor for about 3 hours and when it came time that I felt I couldn’t go any further because the pain was a 10/10, she continuously cheered me on until it was time to push. While pushing she advocated for me when I couldn’t even talk. When things got scary after baby came out, she held my hand and calmed me. After things were settled she made sure I was okay before she left. Afterwards, she checked up on me many times. I was not able to have a doula during my first labor because it was during COVID, Yasmina made my second labor a COMPLETELY different experience in a positive way. The first time I tore a second degree and my cervix lacerated, the second time with her I only had first degree tears and a good recovery and I truly believe it was because she calmed me and helped me relax my body as much as possible during labor. I highly recommend Yasmina to be your doula. She is knowledgeable, understanding and good at what she does!

Ruby White has been a certified full spectrum doula for 7 years. She completed the in-person portion of her certification in Brooklyn, NY with Doula Trainings International (DTI). Serving birthing people and their partners as they go through the major life transition of becoming parents has been her joy since 2018. Her goal is for parents to feel empowered in the entirety of their experience – to be able to ask for the support they desire and to receive it while trusting their body’s ability and the physiological process of birth. Ruby’s strength as a doula is her empathetic, holistic, and inclusive approach, as well as her versatility. She has served families in all types of birth scenarios – hospital, birth center, homebirth, with medication and without. As a doula, her deepest wish is that all patients receive comprehensive and compassionate maternal healthcare, as well as hands on comfort measures and a nourishing presence in their birthing and postpartum spaces. Whether she is providing massage and hip squeezes in labor or assisting with the first latch of breastfeeding - she is honored to be present for every step of the journey. She will always advocate for your birthing preferences to be respected and is committed to showing up with a kind ear, an open heart, and caring hands to serve new families and their babies. Above all, she will hold space for your birth to feel beautiful, safe, intimate, and sacred, always with a dash of humor! When she is off duty, she enjoys singing, acting, writing poetry, being in nature/with animals, and spending time with her family.

Hiring Neisha was one of the best decisions I made as I prepared for childbirth, and I would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone. While I was initially unsure about whether I wanted to hire a doula, after interviewing Neisha I was convinced that it would be helpful to bring her on to support me and my husband before, during, and after the delivery of our first child, and I was not disappointed. I ultimately had a very positive birth experience, and I credit Neisha for giving me the preparation, knowledge, and validation needed to make informed decisions and clearly communicate my preferences during labor and delivery. Early on, she provided us with ample online resources to begin our childbirth preparation. During our prenatal meetings we developed a birth plan, practiced comfort techniques, and discussed the essentials of breastfeeding and newborn care. Throughout my labor Neisha calmly fielded our increasingly anxious calls about whether to take Pitocin and when to begin the epidural. She was a reassuring presence in the delivery room, suggesting alternative positions and providing encouragement to me and my husband through two hours of pushing. Postpartum, Neisha helped with breastfeeding, and continued to check in for several weeks after the end of our official contract as I dealt with a difficult and unexpected complication. Neisha’s professionalism and expertise combined with her warmth and sense of humor made her an invaluable part of my birth team. I would absolutely hire her again. (PS - she is also an incredible massage therapist!)

Hello My name is Ellen and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I offer non-medical support to new and seasonal families before, during, and after pregnancy. I believe that everyone has the right to make their own decisions empowered by knowledge, without judgment. I am passionate about helping families to thrive during the most beautiful and challenging phase of our lives: parenthood. Some fun facts about me: I was born and raised in Brazil, currently living in Hopewell Junction/NY. My husband, Miguel, is Portuguese and we met during a ski trip in Vermont. We have a beautiful daughter who is 3 years old. The sweetest girl ever! I have a stepson who is (somehow) almost 13 years old. I love CrossFit and have been practicing it for 8 years. Except during 2020 - Wonder why?! And during my pregnancy. It was rough. I am a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother and constantly use their quotes for important moments in my life. I serve Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and some Connecticut areas.
Ellen is incredibly reliable, trustworthy, kind, and communicative—I couldn't have asked for a better night nurse. Despite having a longer commute, she was always punctual, never a minute late. I had complete trust in her care for our newborn, and she exceeded all our expectations. I'd absolutely hire her over and over again.

I was searching for postpartum recovery support, mainly centered around meal prep. Priya reached out to me and we got on a quick call. Priya has a lot of knowledge on postpartum recovery and specialized Ayurvedic meal prep. We agreed on Priya supporting me and my family for a few weeks. We had another call before my delivery date and she gave me some tips for post delivery. She started a few days after I went home. Priya was also extremely great - kind, warm, and a delight for my toddler to be around. He enjoyed coming home each day and spending time with Priya. She quickly understood what he liked and would plan activities for my toddler. In addition she prepped lots of yummy meals and always had wonderful snacks and teas ready for me. I can say that Priya helped immensely with my recovery and can’t recommend her enough.

Caitlin comes to Doula work from a background in theatre and physiology. She had fought to understand her own body as she grew up with Developmental Dyspraxia. However, what she always thought of as her greatest weakness, has turned into her greatest strength over the years. As a child every time Caitlin learned a new physical skill she had to break it down step by step for her brain to fully understand it. This gave her a great understanding of human physiology. She applied this understanding of the human body to help numerous clients while working as a personal trainer at Blink Fitness and New York Sports Club. Throughout her life Caitlin was always struck by the distrust of the human body when it came to birth. She had always been fascinated by/or even in awe of birth. During her own journey to having children she finally realized what she wanted to be when she grew up. A Doula. It combined her deep understanding of physiology with her desire to empower people to trust their own bodies, no matter what the birth plan. Caitlin took her DONA training in summer of 2021 and finished the DONA certification process at the end of 2022. Caitlin already has a wide range of experience when it comes to birth. Areas she experienced with include, home birth, hospital birth, birth center care, unmedicated birth, Hypnobirthing, preeclampsia, planned and emergency C-Section, pregnancy resulting from fertility treatment, induction, married and unmarried partners, interracial couples, parents with disabilities, pregnancy with special diets (Vegan, Gestational Diabetes, Kosher ect.) "My goal as a doula is to facilitate a positive birth experience for the growing family, whatever that birth experience may look like. I am happy to work with families with all different types of birth plans, backgrounds and family preferences. It is my strong belief that a Doula should be accessible to all birthing people regardless of gender, sexuality, race, disability, faith, or socioeconomic background."
“I wish I knew about Bornbir sooner, as it's so important to surround yourself with experts who understand during those overwhelming moments and share evidence-based information.”
“I found my birth doula on Bornbir. After submitting my needs, I was able to connect with several awesome doulas that are within a local distance from me.”
