Ruby White

About me

Ruby White has been a certified full spectrum doula for 8 years. She completed the in-person portion of her certification in Brooklyn, NY with Doula Trainings International (DTI). Serving birthing people and their partners as they go through the major life transition of becoming parents has been her joy since 2018. Her goal is for parents to feel empowered in the entirety of their experience – to be able to ask for the support they desire and to receive it while trusting their body’s ability and the physiological process of birth. Ruby’s strength as a doula is her empathetic, holistic, and inclusive approach, as well as her versatility. She has served families in all types of birth scenarios – hospital, birth center, homebirth, with medication and without. As a doula, her deepest wish is that all patients receive comprehensive and compassionate maternal healthcare, as well as hands on comfort measures and a nourishing presence in their birthing and postpartum spaces. Whether she is providing massage and hip squeezes in labor or assisting with the first latch of breastfeeding - she is honored to be present for every step of the journey. She will always advocate for your birthing preferences to be respected and is committed to showing up with a kind ear, an open heart, and caring hands to serve new families and their babies. Above all, she will hold space for your birth to feel beautiful, safe, intimate, and sacred, always with a dash of humor! When she is off duty, she enjoys singing, acting, writing poetry, being in nature/with animals, and spending time with her family.
