I am committed to providing trauma-informed, inclusive, and justice-oriented care for all, including people of color, queer and trans folks, disabled people, and those belonging to all types of family structures. Marissa helped us get ready for the arrival of our first baby. We had two meetings before our girl arrived a little earlier then expected. The first meeting was getting to know each other and Marissa gave us tons informative videos we were able to watch and a few social media accounts to follow with very helpful exercises, stretches, and general partner bonding. Marissa encouraged me through the ending of my pregnancy to stay active and hydrated also to practice breath work whenever I had a moment! Marissa was always quick to respond to me or my husband's text messages or calls Even when we had the silliest of questions! She recommended a wonderful book for my husband so that he was as supportive as possible in the delivery room. Our second meeting we went over some of the best positions to be in during labor and my Birth plan. The day that I was induced, Marissa was Incredibly supportive via text message until she was able to get to the hospital. She made sure that we were asking the right questions to our providers to make sure that we were getting all the info we needed to make informed decisions. During labor Marissa was very Helpful in reminding me to breathe and counting for me during contractions. She captured some of the most beautiful photos for my husband and I during this time as well! My birth felt easier because of the suggestions Marissa gave us and the reminds in option I had in each stage of labor and birth!

Monica and Alexis are godsends. We will be begging both of them to work with us again when we have our second child! Alexis was our postpartum daytime doula three days a week. She started with us as soon as our son was born, and we ended up extending her contract an extra month because we (and our son) couldn’t bear to be without her! She treated our baby as if he was her own; she is his favorite person in the whole world. She did a wonderful job providing mental health support to both myself and my husband, all while still somehow finding time to cook us delicious meals! Monica was our overnight newborn care specialist. She gave a great sense of security and relief to our family. She was originally scheduled to start 8 weeks after our son's birth, but we begged her to start sooner and she kindly squeezed us into her busy schedule. As a first-time parent, I really appreciated the countless times she provided me invaluable guidance and encouragement. Her network of fellow doulas, baby chiropractors, IBCLCs, babysitters, etc. have also been very helpful. Overall, I wish I could give them both 10 stars! :-)

Birth never gets old to me. It’s always beautiful, surprising and full of hope and promise. Over 23 years of being a doula, I’ve seen so many amazing people become parents and new babies join us- some of whom are grownup now! My philosophy is that, you know yourself, and I believe in your ability to make the choices that are best for you and your family at your birth- my goal is to support you during the process, answer questions, help you make informed decisions when presented with unexpected circumstances and help with practical solutions to issues such as a baby who isn’t in an optimal position, social/emotional issues and needs, supporting your partner and other children and animals and more. I bring tens of thousands of hours of time spent with people in labor worth of knowledge to you and your birth, and whatever you choose- epidural, unmedicated, induction, cesarean, etc makes no difference to me, I will support you through whatever you choose, help you achieve your very best outcome and make sure you are safe and validated throughout. You are all my life’s work, and I’m grateful to be trusted with your care.
Dana, my Doula has been an amazing support to me during pregnancy the birth and postpartum. I would highly recommend any expecting mother work with Dana for any and all of her Doula needs. She was such a great person to have with me through my pregnancy and postpartum journey, and I can’t imagine my journey without her! Her abundance of knowledge, guidance and resources are unparalleled!

Welcome families! My name is Katherine, and I am a new birth doula serving all of Connecticut, as well as southern Massachusetts. Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I pride myself on providing a welcoming and accepting space for all. I provide emotional and practical support to the birthing couple in hopes of easing the stress of delivery, and increasing the joy of bringing your baby home! I work with families on creating birth plans and helping them advocate for that plan during labor and delivery. I am knowledgable on labor stages, fetal positions, and emergency situations, which will help to put your mind at ease! Whether it's through massage techniques, changes in position, breathing strategies, or something as small as lighting candles, I strive to make the birthing experience as calming as possible. My job as a doula is not to take over the role of the partner, but to guide the family to advocate for themselves in the labor and birthing space. I bring a warm, comforting energy with me, and I am so excited to start connecting with you! All consultations are free and over a video call!

She stayed calm and reassing when I needed support most and it was instrumental in helping me navigate my birth. She helped me overcome birth trauma with my twins and it made my experience so wonderful and peaceful. I would recommend her a thousand times over. I am so grateful she was my doula for 3/4 of my kiddos.

My role is to provide a compass, steering you away from the confusing and sometimes overwhelming information available online. Hi Mamas! I'm Ally, a mama of two boys, registered nurse, and doula. The newborn phase is a precious and transformative time in your parenthood journey. It can also come with an overwhelming change and stress. As a doula, I support families through this transition, prioritizing your space, comfort, and recovery in the early postpartum. Each family's care is individualized to best meet your needs.
I don't think there are enough words to describe how grateful I felt to having received Ally's help before baby arrived, and first month. Before my son arrived she helped me prepare his nursery. We went over my hospital bag, my birth plan, my goals for postpartum. This was my second pregnancy and delivery was a emergency C-section. She helped educate me on post care for my healing. I had no knowledge on healing for a C-section, it wasn't on remotely on my birth plan. She would check my incision, gave me tips on care, exercises and massages(for when I got clearance). I really struggled my first month with breastfeeding and if I didn't have Ally's advice, knowledge and assistance with latching on I don't think I would've continued breastfeeding. After I nursed my son and he was settled I could nap and she would watch over him, do light cleaning, wake me for next feeding, and even gave a light snack. She was extremely patient, knowledgeable and a wonderful listener. Moments that I felt overwhelmed she was able to listen and give me support and remind me I'm doing great. I am a single mom of two. Having her services helped me so much. Thank you Ally for helping me and my babyboy, truly. You gave me the confidence, support and guidance I really needed. You're amazing! I recommend all mamas to work with Ally's! I can't wait to have baby number 3! Thank you Ally again!

I had been a stay at home mother since the birth of my first son in 1995. Since then I had three more babies and loved being pregnant and giving birth. Every aspect of motherhood comes very natural to me and being a stay at home Mom had been the perfect fit. I live in Bethany, CT with my husband and children. As my children had grown and became more self-sufficient I realized that my energy and enthusiasm needed to be put to good use. I discovered doula services and the more I learned the more I realized that this was the perfect fit for me! I started my journey to become a doula in 2012. During that time I have become completely immersed in my work and continuing education. I have met so many wonderful people and to date I have participated in hundreds of amazing births. How lucky am I to get to experience the miracle of birth over and over again! Being pregnant, experiencing labor and birth are not medical conditions. I believe women should have a voice in how they would like to labor and birth their babies. I offer open minded and enthusiastic support for Parents to be. Whether you are planning a medicated birth, a C-section, VBAC or would like an unmedicated birth, I am there for you. As your birth doula I will help you achieve a calm and gentle birth. I will provide continuous emotional, physical and informational support. I will gently remind you of your birth plan. In labor it is easy to lose focus. I will help you with visualization and to stay as calm and relaxed as possible in between surges. I will provide comfort measures during surges. After the birth I will help you with skin-to-skin and baby self-latching if you plan on breastfeeding. I am trained in Childbirth Education, Spinning Babies and Evidence Based Birth. I also have a lot of experience with clients using Hypnobirthing techniques. I am looking forward to helping you achieve your dream birth.

I’m a Homebirth midwife who also loves to serve as a doula. I have years of experience with unmedicated, natural births, but can also support in any context. I believe every birthing person deserves compassion, love, and kindness as they bring a baby through. I’m here to listen to your desires, help educate you on the options you have, and stand by you through your birthing/early parenting process. I’ve attended over 400 births and counting :) When not at a birth I spend my days playing with my son, hiking with my dog, cooking and exploring. Happy to help as a birth or postpartum doula, homebirth midwife, or lactation specialist.
If you're in search of someone well-versed in both holistic care and Western scientific knowledge, with a non-judgmental approach, Jessy is an exceptional choice. After interviewing three different midwifery practices, it became evident that Jessy Bready not only brought an incredible depth of experience but also had an extensive network of support to draw upon. I was looking for someone who had a warm, grounded presence, someone who could geek out about science while also delving into herbal remedies and the phases of the moon. Someone who truly saw the journey to motherhood as a magical union of heaven and earth. With Jessy, I experienced the most remarkable pregnancy journey. I cherished our monthly check-ups, which often included my husband, and were filled with questions and answers. She referred us to an excellent maternal fetal medicine doctor for all the tests I chose to undergo, including ultrasounds, which complemented our primarily non-hospital midwifery care. When the time for childbirth arrived, Jessy went above and beyond, assisting my husband in supporting me through my water labor. She provided gentle guidance and touch, and after about 30 hours of intense labor with no progress, we faced a decision. While I had dreamt of a homebirth, Jessy and her team helped me make the tough choice to transfer to the hospital for pain management at 3 am. She made me feel empowered for listening to my body and inner voice, rather than shaming me for not being able to proceed at home. Jessy joined us at the hospital, explaining the forthcoming procedures and seamlessly translating medical terminology for the doctors. Her confidence was evident, and the doctors respected her knowledge. While I believed our prenatal care was exceptional, it was Jessy's postpartum and breastfeeding support that truly amazed me. In the six weeks following our baby's birth, Jessy proved to be an invaluable asset to our family. She helped my milk come in, taught me how to latch, and provided emotional support. She even offered medical assistance when my blood pressure was slightly higher than normal. Not having to leave my home and venture into a doctor's office with my newborn for the first six weeks (except for our initial doctor's visit) was absolutely incredible! Having Jessy as a part of our birthing team was not only incredible for me but also for my husband and our baby girl. We are eternally grateful for the way she prepared us for parenthood, and we believe that everyone should have access to the level of care she provided. Although we didn't have a homebirth, my birthing experience was everything I had ever hoped for. Thank you, Jessy!!! <3

Hi everyone! My experience with birth started with my first birth: my son was born peacefully at home in the water. I fell in love with birth right away, and began taking doula classes. My approach to prenatal, labor, and postpartum care is mother and family centered. I’ve also trained in labor massage, Ayurvedic postpartum nutrition, childbirth education, and as a lactation educator and placenta specialist. My goal is to offer support, assurance, and information to my families at every step of their early parenthood journey. My philosophy and education align best with mamas who are pursuing natural birth and holistic support. I have experience with VBACs, HBACs, and free births.

With over 30 years of experience in child care—including 16 years as a center director—I began my work as a postpartum doula in 2018. As a mom of three grown children (including two retired service members) and a proud new grandmother, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to every family I support. I love helping new moms navigate the fourth trimester with confidence, combining my training and hands-on experience to make a meaningful difference in their transition. Supporting families during this special time is truly my passion. I’m here to answer your questions and walk alongside you on this beautiful journey.
Discovering Blissful Sleep was a game-changer for me as a second-time mom. After struggling with months of sleep deprivation during my first postpartum experience, I wish I had met Marsha and her team sooner. They truly gave me the gift of sleep and restored my sanity during those early months. One of the most invaluable aspects of their service was the emotional support they provided. With no family nearby, their team became like an extended family for me. The care providers assigned to us were not only highly professional but also compassionate and understanding. They essentially took care of me as much as they did my baby - they listened to my concerns, offered practical advice, and were a constant sounding board throughout our first few months. I was impressed by their punctuality and reliability. They were always on time for appointments and their communication was clear and responsive. This professionalism instilled confidence in their services and made the entire experience stress-free. I wholeheartedly recommend Blissful Sleep to anyone expecting a baby. Whether you're a first-time parent or navigating the challenges of newborn parenthood again, their expertise and support are invaluable. They tailor their approach to fit your family's unique needs, ensuring you feel empowered and well-supported during this transformative time. In summary, Blissful Sleep exceeded my expectations in every way. Thanks to their guidance, my baby sleeps through the night! If you're looking for compassionate, professional, and effective sleep support, look no further than Blissful Sleep.

My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering women giving birth stems from my desire to combat the maternal and infant health crisis that disproportionately impacts the birth experiences and outcomes of Black women. It is my goal to help all birthing people: learn to trust in their bodies; learn to trust themselves to make informed decisions about and advocate for the birth experience they desire; and, have culturally appropriate and non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. I welcome you to schedule a free, 30-minute consultation to help us get to know one another, decide if we're a good fit and so that I can also answer any questions you may have. Nishante has been my son's childcare provider for nearly two years, starting when he was six months old. She is reliable, calm, funny and no-nonsense and truly cares about our family and my son. She has become part of our family and has worked with us through so many milestones, including sleep training and potty training, and we are so grateful to have her. She stays clear-headed in a crisis but is firm and tough (but still kind) when necessary, and I am sure those qualities make her an amazing doula as well.
