Isabel Flanders

About me

Hi! I’m Isabel, a doula and lactation counselor working with families in LA. I graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in Biology and Social Welfare and trained as a doula through Cornerstone Doula Trainings. My philosophy is centered on supporting my clients every step of the way to feel empowered, strong and supported through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I want clients to have information and resources to confidently explore their choices and find what works for them and their family. My academic background in science equips me with a solid foundation for providing evidence-based support which I believe goes hand-in-hand with an understanding of the social, emotional, and transformational parts of birth work that makes individualized support so important. In my free time, I like to be outside as much as possible. I love to spend time in the ocean, run, and hike. I also love to read, sew, cook, and bake!
