About me

Carina is a second generation Filipinx and El Salvadoran queer and revolutionary full-spectrum doula. In an effort to embrace both of Carina's ancestral lineages, Carina is committing to the re-knowing/re-learning of advocacy for families on their journeys of pregnancy, labor, postpartum, miscarriages, loss, and abortion. Through this work, Carina devotes themself to re-membering the innate wisdom and powers of birthing people’s abilities to birth life into this earthly realm. In re-membering this ancient wisdom, Carina rejects harmful patriarchal systems and resists colonial structures of all forms. Carina provides additional support by bridging birthwork and astrology through careful observation of one’s cosmic makeup to identify any aspects and/or analyze current transits in the sky as it relates to someone's placements. She provides insights into the energies of a chart to instill a sense of calm, understanding, and presence through the sacred journey. In addition to Carina's duty to ensure their clients feel seen, held, and supported, she recognizes that every birthing person's experience is unique and as a result of this, ensures the care they receive is catered to their individual experiences. In and out of this work, Carina of Tandaan Mo (remember) La Tierra (the land) aims to uplift, support, honor, and advocate for all sacred portals.

Service introduction

On top of prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum support, I offer astrology support throughout all phases. I have been studying astrology for 10 years and provide support for those interested in their cosmic makeup as it pertains to their journey. Additionally, I offer herbal support.

- support during your pregnancy, labor, and in the postpartum period, in whatever choices you decide to make. - 3 in-person or virtual prenatal appointments. During that time, I will educate, practice labor support, and help create a birth plan. We will also (if interested) go over plans of implementing ceremonies, rituals, and/or readings. - support you during labor to ensure a positive birth experience in the way that you seek. As I am independent and self-employed, I work for you, not your provider or place of birth. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you; and make suggestions to help labor progress, relaxation, massage, positioning, and other techniques for comfort. *option to connect in person or virtually for moon ceremonies and/or other local workshops to build relationship between us *postpartum care is discussed at third prenatal to determine needs, desires, etc. ****My doula fee is offered on a sliding scale - $1600-2000. Please choose a rate within that range that is honorable to you. A deposit will be due within 1 week of requesting me to act as your doula. This deposit holds your place in my practice. The deposit will go toward the overall payment. The remaining balance is to be paid in full by 36 weeks of your pregnancy. We can coordinate a payment plan based on your needs. *****I am in the process of becoming Medi-cal approved and will accept various insurances****

Carina nurtured and cared for me prenatally, during the birth of my son, and postpartum. I completely attribute my beautiful, unmedicated birth to Carina’s extensive preparation prenatally and her extraordinary attentiveness during birth. The home visits postpartum helped my healing process and made the transition from one to two children much easier! I couldn’t have done it without her!
