I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals and families throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and early postpartum journey. I offer a wide range of services, including education, advocacy, comfort, and guidance to help ensure a positive birth experience and smooth transition into parenthood. I am also CPR, First Aid and AED certified. I have over 20 years of experience in the human service field. I have been a servant to my community by providing resources to the most vulnerable populations such as disabled, homeless and abused. Strengthening new and growing families as a doula has been profoundly significant and valuable during the start of my career. I enjoy empowering families, promoting health, and fostering resilience for birth moms.
I loved my experience with Alisha. From the start to the ending. Talking to her about the pregnancy use to bring me comfort. She gave me plenty of resources while pregnant and after I gave birth. During birth she was extra supportive. Even tho my birth plan did not go as plan she stuck by myself my whole c section and held my hand. 23 hours in labor she kept me calm bringing games and everything to keep my mind calm. I just overall appreciate her and if I ever had another baby I would want her as my doula again. 5 stars isn’t enough to rate her. She more like a million stars. Thank you so much for the experience and the comfort you bought through out the experience. And I appreciate you.

Hi! I’m Kate. A mama of 3 and a birth doula! I’m from Baltimore MD and work with families doing hospital or home birth!
I had the pleasure of working with Kate and her mother Margie during the labor and delivery of my daughter. Kate was my Doula and her mother was my birth photographer. They make one amazing duo! I had planned on a home water birth and unfortunately after 30 hours of unmedicated labor at home it turned into a hospital transfer and then an emergency cesarian surgery. Kate and her mother stayed in contact with me throughout the day when I knew I was in early labor and then got to my home promptly after she received the call that things were quickly progressing. Kate was so knowledgeable on different comfort measures for me during my labor. She was compassionate and extremely supportive during the whole entire experience! She even sent me a lot of information prior to my daughters arrival regarding helpful tips, body positioning and things I could do prior to early labor and through out to help me during every stage. Her mother is so kind, empathetic and takes beautiful pictures! I will cherish the moments she captured for our family forever. Margie even came to the hospital with us and stayed at the hospital not knowing if she would or would not be able to come back in to our room in order to take pictures after my surgery. I could not recommend hiring them more! Thank you both so much for being a part of my birth journey! XX- Alisha Rutherford

Baltimore based birth and postpartum doula, committed to empowering mamas who’ve faced birth trauma by supporting them towards a healing and empowering birth experience. My focus is to help you find your voice and help guide you towards your dream experience.
We had a wonderful experience with Jenny as our night doula. She cared for our newborn daughter over the course of a month and a half. She was communicative, prompt, and immediately put us at ease with her warm and reassuring presence. Not only was she a help to us in caring for our daughter overnight, but she always made sure to check in with me and how I was doing postpartum, and was generally just lovely to chat with and get to know. Her professionalism, trustworthiness, and knowledge were evident from the start, and she handled everything with such care and attention. We felt completely supported, and can't recommend her highly enough!

I strongly believe in creating a positive space to plan for, and experience, birth. My goal is to create a space of peace and confidence when it's time to meet your baby, and utilizing all of my life's knowledge and training to support your inherent wisdom to give birth. I am is known to be very empathetic. I LOVE naps and dark chocolate, and am a self-proclaimed introvert, despite what people think :). As a wife and mother of 4: ages 20, 16, and 6, I absolutely adores my children. I was called to become a Doula after experiencing 3 traumatic births, postpartum depression, and the death of one of my twin babies, all with little to no support. Through therapy, I realized I wanted to help other families so they do not have to experience these types of difficult things alone. I have an active mind and am always learning - a "forever student". I have trouble sitting still and love utilizing my many trainings and certifications to support my clients. I've been told, many times, I have a steady, calming demeanor, allowing my clients to relax in my presence and to feel held. When not supporting families in birth and postpartum, you can find me listening to my favorite audiobooks and podcasts, gardening, making art, and laughing at dad jokes!

Hi, my name is Caroline and I am a certified labor, birth and postpartum doula, a Body Ready Method Professional and Body Ready Birth Teacher. It is my passion to support families during their journey of meeting their new baby, and to make them feel more secure and taken care of during this sacred time of pregnancy, birth and beyond. My hobbies include gardening, baking (especially sourdough bread), reading and homesteading. I enjoy practicing mindfulness, wearing cozy sweaters, and spending time with my family and friends. Fall is my favorite season, with its color changes and our family's apple and pumpkin picking adventures. I am a mountain girl, who was born and raised in Germany. I offer my services in both German and in English.
Caroline was incredible! We absolutely loved getting to know her and working with her during this pregnancy and birth. From her calm supportive presence to coaching me through a largely unmedicated labor (which I never could have done on my own!) to visiting us after birth and bringing incredible food to help get through the early post partum phase, her support made our birth experience so much more joyful . I will be recommending her to all pregnant friends in the future!

Hi there, I am a wife and mother to 3 children. I spend my days staying current on evidence based information about prenatal, peri and postnatal care. I enjoy playing soccer with my kids, cooking, decorating my home for each season and holiday as well as baking and arts and crafts with my kids after school. My name is Hannah and I’m a birth and postpartum doula. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education and taught kindergarten until my son was born in 2020. Although my role adjusted when becoming a mother, a fire was ignited through my birth experience, and I started researching how I could make a difference. After my daughter’s redeeming home birth in 2022, I knew that becoming a doula was a tangible way I could impact mothers and the next generation for the better. By providing emotional support, evidence-based information and physical support, I strive to make the family’s life changing, transitional time a smoother one. I am trained through DONA as a birth doula and Lifespan doulas for postpartum work. Besides classroom experience, I also have nannied for several families over the past few years. It is my goal as your birth or postpartum doula to make you feel seen and heard. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my kiddos outside, serving at our local church, grabbing coffee with friends, going on family walks or experimenting in the kitchen.
Hannah was able to provide me with virtual and in person support for the birth of my baby. She quickly responded to any question I had and gave me clear, practical information tailored for me. She shares your emotional journey in a way that makes you feel empowered and validated for any feeling or question you may have. She is sweet, knowledgable, and comprehensive about what she knows. She is prepared with lots of different ideas for pain-reducing techniques during the natural birth of my baby as well as providing alternatives when needed. She displays an assertive, yet respectful bedside manner and advocates to the doctors and nurses with for your best interest. She checked in frequently and even reached out many times after my baby was born to check not only on the baby, but also me as well to see how I was doing physically and emotionally. She took lots of time to help me find out an answer to a pain I was having after birth and resolve it. She is easy to talk to and understanding of what you are going through. I would highly recommend hiring Hannah Wright to be your doula.
