About me

I'm Asia Jackson—doula, licensed social worker, and mother. My journey into this work began with my own experience as a single Black mom navigating pregnancy and early motherhood. I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming this season can be, especially without the right support. ​ Root + Bloom was born from that experience. I combine my background in trauma-informed care with deep, culturally aware support to help families feel seen, heard, and empowered. My goal is simple: to walk beside you with compassion, advocacy, and love.

all-inclusive package is designed for families seeking deeply personalized, trauma-informed care. It includes three extended prenatal visits with birth mapping, partner coaching, and emotional prep, along with a comfort kit and digital resources. You'll receive full labor and birth support, plus 24/7 communication access from 36 weeks through six weeks postpartum. Post-birth care includes three extended postpartum visits with meal support and household help, a nourishing care basket or meal delivery, and a detailed resource list and birth notes.

Comprehensive doula care from pregnancy to early postpartum tailored to your unique journey with premium, high-touch support Includes everything in the Rooted Package, plus: • 3 prenatal visits (up to 2 hours each - trauma-informed support, advanced coping skills, birth mapping) • Full birth and postpartum planning + partner coaching • Comfort kit & digital prep resources (affirmations, labor tools, printables) • Unlimited text, phone, and video support from 36 weeks through 6 weeks postpartum (24/7 availability) • Optional virtual check-ins between visits as needed • Immediate postpartum support (up to 3 hours) • 3 postpartum visits (2 hours each - includes meal support, light household help, emotional check-in) • Nourishing postpartum care basket or meal delivery

Grounded support with deeper prenatal preparation and continued postpartum care. Includes everything in the Seed Package, plus: • 2 prenatal visits (- In - Home or Virtual) • Customized birth and postpartum plan • Unlimited phone, text, and email support (9 AM - 9PM daily) • 2 postpartum visits (1.5 hours each - newborn care, feeding support, emotional wellness) • Local resource list (lactation, bodywork, mental health, etc.) • Detailed birth notes

Foundational birth support for families who want the essentials with care and intention. • Free initial consultation (30-45 mins) • 1 prenatal visit (90 - 120 mins to discuss birth plan, comfort tools, and postpartum prep, and highlights from your child birth class) • Phone/text/email support throughout pregnancy • In-person or virtual labor & birth support • Immediate postpartum support (up to 2 hours) • 1 postpartum follow-up visit (in-home or virtual for 1 hour) • Access to client portal with resources
