During delivery, I was in immense pain and could barely open my eyes. Terry stayed by my side for hours, massaging me through intense contractions and creating a calm, cozy environment. When it was finally time to push, I was exhausted from the induction, but her reassuring presence gave me the strength to keep going. My active labor lasted only about an hour and helped me avoid a C-section. She is caring, empathetic, and truly supportive. She even visited me postpartum to help with breastfeeding and brought food. I had Terry as both birth doula and postpartum doula (with meal prep). She is attentive, energetic and not judgmental. She is knowledgeable about all stages of prenatal, laboring and postpartum care, and finds ways to engage my partner in the process (e.g. acupressure points, relaxation lines and perineal massage). She is also resourceful and provides information for breastfeeding, cord blood banking, placenta encapsulation and acupuncture therapy. In particular, she encourages us to advocate and push back against unnecessary invasive treatments. Her meal plan is custom made and the meals are nutritious.
