About me

I’m Sherilee Peters, the owner and founder of Baby Nest Birth Services. For over 18 years, I have been supporting parents in having empowering birth and postpartum experiences. Growing up on a recreational farm in Canada, I watched animals give birth from a young age, which gave me my first realization of how natural the birth process could be. I am a mother of two, a Birth & Postpartum Doula, a Bradley Method Birth instructor, and a certified placenta specialist serving the Vancouver, WA, and Portland, OR areas.

As a birth and postpartum doula, I work with parents from every walk of life. Hospital and home birth parents...anxious first-time parents...exhausted third-time parents, planned waterbirth parents, corporate business parents, and planned epidural parents. They all have one thing in common: they want a positive birth experience. No matter who you are, having a baby is hard work, but it doesn't need to be traumatic.
