Hello, my name is Alyssa Ellison and I am a Postpartum Doula and newborn care specialist. I was born and raised in Carson, California and currently live in San Pedro, Ca. I've been a birth professional for about 7 years now and I thoroughly enjoy it. I got started in this industry almost by default. I am the daughter of the middle daughter of 5 girls. All of those girls (my aunts) gave birth to girls. If you can see where I'm going, I have seen a lot of birth over the years. Naturally I gravitate towards birth and the perinatal period where I find myself bonding with new and to be new mothers in assisting them with being an extra set of hands so that it allows them to be more hands on and better bond with their baby. I am looking forward to working with new families, creating new memories and helping to strengthen bonds within households.

I am a longtime NICU nurse and now pediatric nurse practitioner. I am also certified lactation counselor and have breastfed my two babies (one still, currently). I know it is not for everyone, but I would love to help support you on your breastfeeding journey, whatever it may be!

I became a doula to not only heal from my traumatic birth expirence but also to help others hopefully avoid one all together.
