My husband and I wanted to have a positive, healthy, educated experience, as this was our first baby. Sam was a great help and quickly became a great friend through our birthing process! She helped us come up with a birth plan we were comfortable with, helped educate us in all sorts of questions and concerns we had. And thankfully we had home visits which helped keep us comfortable as we navigated this chapter of our lives. The package we selected not only included constant communication with Sam, a birthing work book, home visits, and Sam's support during labor, but it also included prenatal massage and post partum spa package. Sam stayed by our side for my 24 hour labor and she was such a pillar of support for myself, my husband, and my mother who was also present for our birth. We would 100% choose Sam again and will recommend her every time someone is looking for a doula!!

Sam assisted me with my first birth experience, and it was such a pleasant experience with her! She's so kind, encouraging, and has a calming demeanor that is so appreciated when you're in labor. She was helpful during labor with pain management techniques and reminding me of our birth plan. After I delivered, she made me feel good about my decision to get the epidural at 8cm dilated due to how much pain I was in and the exhaustion of being in labor over 24 hours. Samantha is such an amazing doula and provided so much support throughout my pregnancy journey. I had a few appointments when my husband was unable to come with me and she came with me to provide support. This was really beneficial for her to get to know my medical team before giving birth! I ended up having a scheduled c section and Sam came during preop and helped me in post op. Since post partum Sam has continued to check in to see how I am doing both mentally and physically. I would highly recommend having a Sam with you during your pregnancy :)

Oh man oh man, Sam SWOOPED IN at the last minute when my anxiety over feeling unready with baby number two kicked in. I cannot even begin to explain my gratitude for Sam’s heart and experienced guidance for me. I ended up having a pretty long labor process that went well into the night and early morning and she did not skip a beat in her support every hour along the way. It felt so comforting for her to know my birth plan and work collaboratively with the nursing staff to help me with new positions to help the labor process along and listen to the needs of my baby and his safety. Her heart is so genuine. If you’re looking for someone that deeply deeply cares and can hold you confidently through the labor process, I couldn’t recommend her enough. I was able to advocate for some of my needs for more time during labor and was able to successfully avoid a c section at the last minute. If you’re curious, REACH OUT TO HER! We found Sam 6 weeks out from our due date after our original doula feel through due to health reasons. I felt stressed not having someone so close to the end and when I connected with Sam I was instantly at ease. She has such a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all of mine and my husband's questions. She met with us at our home and helped us create a birth plan we were very happy with while helping us understand all of the possibilities with birth and create plans if things went wrong. This is our first baby and our goal was an unmedicated birth so we had lots of questions. We felt safe, prepared, and supported. She also came over to teach us comfort measures for birth - it was SO helpful. I loved that she supported me as well as my husband so that he could be involved in the birth process as well. As we approached my due date, Sam checked in on me often and sent me helpful links and resources all the time. Fast forward to the most important part... the actual birth! I am not exaggerating when I say we could not have done it without Sam... She came over to our house at midnight when I went into labor and helped me labor at home for 5 hours before going with us to the hospital. Her expertise is a huge reason that I was able to go unmedicated. She helped me stay calm and comfortable, advocated for us with hospital staff, stayed with me every step of the way and cheered me on as I gave birth. We cried and hugged before she left the hospital after I had my son and she truly felt like part of the family. I will be recommending her to everyone I know who needs a doula!
