Hi! I am a lactation consultant and Doula (birth and Postpartum). I started my career as a medical assistant in an Intergrative/Holistic Pediatric clinic. I loved working with families and after experiencing breastfeeding issues with my first baby I decided to pursue a career in lactation. I have worked in pediatrics, hospital and home visits supporting families pursue their feeding goals. My next step in my career was fulfilling my dream of becoming a doula and supporting families prenatally and through postpartum. I feel truly blessed doing the best job in the world. I can't wait to connect with you and be a part of your journey <3

Michaela (Mikki) Bell is the face behind TheDoulaBell and has really been preparing for this gifting her whole life. She jokes, "The first doula client I ever had was a momma sheep out on our family friend's farm in Colorado when I was 9 years old. That was the first birth I ever participated in and since then, I've been so enthralled with birth in every form." Mikki's real journey to becoming a doula began with the birth of her firstborn, Jensen. She states that having a doula herself changed her whole perception about what birth is really like and what the human body is capable of. She says "My doula really helped me achieve what I hoped for in childbirth. She supported all of my decisions and was just that constant reassuring presence of someone who knows birth. Birth is hard and sometimes scary and I think it's absolutely essential to have someone that the birthing person and her partner can rely on and who can help them achieve their goals and dreams on potentially one of the most memorable days of their lives." Mikki has been able to work with parents in all types of birth settings, deliveries with OB's in the operating room and with midwives at home in a bedroom, and for parents of twins, singletons, and for IVF and VBAC families. Without a doubt, you will feel supported in every way during your pregnancy, labor and birth if you decide to hire Mikki, TheDoulaBell.

For me, this work is a divine calling, one that allows me to help parents feel safe, respected, and deeply supported during one of life’s most powerful journeys. My approach is rooted in compassion, education, and empowerment. I believe every parent deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for in a way that honors their values and choices. I hired Alex as my birth doula and postpartum doula. I really couldn't have done labor without her. She was so calm and level-headed and helped my husband know what was going on. After the baby came home she how to take care of me so that I could take care of our daughter. It was simple things but it meant the world to me.

I cannot speak highly enough of Eldrid's invaluable support during my postpartum recovery. After my C-section, she became an indispensable part of our household, seamlessly managing tasks that allowed me to focus on healing and bonding with my newborn. Eldrid not only cooked delicious and nutritious meals that nourished our family (by the way, she makes the BEST lactation chocolate chip cookies and tapioca pudding), but she also ensured our home was consistently tidy and organized. Her attention to detail in laundry and housekeeping meant I could rest without worry. The soothing massages she provided for my feet, shoulders, neck, and hands were incredibly therapeutic and helped relieve the tension that comes with new motherhood. Beyond the physical care, Eldrid went above and beyond by taking expert care of our baby, allowing me precious moments to nap, shower, or simply take a solo walk for much-needed self-care. Eldrid's understanding and compassionate demeanor made me feel supported and understood during those overwhelming first weeks as a new mom. I remember when I had my first experience with breast engorgement. I was terrified and texted Eldrid, and she immediately knew the fix and brought over some cabbage leaves to help manage the pain. Eldrid's dedication to both my baby's well-being and my own was evident in every interaction. She listened attentively to my concerns and offered invaluable guidance and reassurance. Her nurturing presence not only eased the transition into motherhood but also fostered a sense of confidence and empowerment in my new role. I am profoundly grateful to Eldrid for her unwavering support and expertise during a pivotal time in our lives. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care have left an indelible mark on our family's journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Eldrid to any parent seeking compassionate and knowledgeable postpartum care. My family misses her greatly!
