About me

Howdy! I’m Rachel! I’m a wife and mom of 2. I’m a c section mama and a VBAC mama. As a birth doula, I am dedicated to offering emotional and physical support during your labor and childbirth journey. My focus is to ensure you feel empowered, informed, and cared for throughout the birthing process.

Service introduction

I am trained to provide nonjudgmental physical and emotional support and encouragement to women throughout the birthing process! I do everything in my power to ensure that mom is fully informed and that her birth preferences are heard and valued. I offer non-judgmental support, guidance, evidence-based education, comfort measures and other practical hands-on support during childbirth. Includes 2 prenatal appointments and birth consultation.

Full Support

My full support package includes the following: - free consultation-2-3 prenatal appointments with me- help writing a birth plan- help working through all the medical jargon in the decision making process- starting at 37 weeks, i will be on call for you. You call me day or night and i will drop everything to help you and come to your labor/birth- i will be at your labor and birth. Helping with labor positions, ensuring you are fully informed in your decision making- i will stay about 1 hour after baby is born to help you get settled- a post partum visit to help you process your birth and answer any questions you have

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay extra if I’m in labor for a long time?

Absolutely not! Birth is unpredictable and every birth is different. You pay a flat rate no matter how long you’re in labor!

Does your support replace my partner?

I’m not there to replace anyone! If you have a partner at the birth with you, I am there to support you both. Not replace a partner.

What happens if my birthing staff is trying to convince me of an intervention that I don’t want?

I am not there to talk to the birthing staff FOR you. But I am there to take the choice and put it back in your hands. How that happens depends on the person and situation. It may be as simple as “The staff things that you should _____, is that something you’re interested in? Would you like some time alone with (support person) to think about it?” Or it may be more forward like “ok we hear that you think it’s important that mom does that. But I also heard mom say no and that she’s not interested in that right now. Can you tell mom a little bit more about why you think that’s what needs to happen? So she can think about it?”
