Hi, I’m Rachel Alkobi, a birth and postpartum doula specializing in VBAC support, newborn care, lactation, and postpartum nutrition. As a mother of three, I understand firsthand the physical and emotional transitions that come with birth and recovery. I provide comprehensive support for mothers and families through every stage of the birth and postpartum journey. My services include VBAC support, where I offer evidence-based guidance, emotional reassurance, and advocacy to help mothers feel confident and empowered in achieving a positive birth experience. I also provide lactation support to help establish and maintain successful breastfeeding, along with postpartum nutrition guidance to promote healing, energy, and overall well-being after birth. In addition, I offer newborn care education and hands-on support, helping parents feel comfortable and confident as they adjust to life with their new baby. My goal is to create a calm, nurturing environment where both mother and baby can thrive.

Birth doula support

This package provides continuous, compassionate support throughout your entire birth journey. From pregnancy through postpartum, you’ll receive personalized care designed to help you feel informed, confident, and deeply supported. Includes: • Two prenatal visits to discuss birth preferences, comfort measures, VBAC preparation (if applicable), and emotional readiness • Unlimited text and phone support throughout your pregnancy • 24/7 on-call availability starting at 38 weeks until your baby arrives • Continuous labor and birth support at home and/or your birthing location • Use of comfort techniques such as positioning, breathing, relaxation, massage, and partner guidance • Immediate postpartum support for the first 1–2 hours after birth to assist with initial bonding and breastfeeding • One postpartum visit to check in on recovery, newborn care, feeding, and emotional well-being This package is designed to provide you with steady reassurance and evidence-based support every step of the way, so you can birth with confidence and peace.

Postpartum support

Postpartum care is designed to help you rest, recover, and bond with your baby while feeling fully supported at home. As your postpartum doula, I provide warm, nonjudgmental care tailored to your family’s unique needs. Support includes: • Light housekeeping to help you maintain a calm, organized home environment • Meal prepping and postpartum nutrition plans to support healing, energy, and milk production • Lactation support to help you establish and maintain successful feeding • Newborn care education and hands-on guidance to help you feel confident in soothing, bathing, and understanding your baby’s cues • Emotional support and recovery guidance as you navigate the transition into motherhood • Overnight shifts available for families needing rest and reassurance through the night My goal is to create a peaceful, nurturing environment where you can focus on recovery and connection while I take care of the rest.

Virtual VBAC support

This package provides comprehensive, evidence-based virtual support for mothers planning a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). Whether you’re preparing for a hospital, birth center, or home birth, I’ll help you feel informed, confident, and supported every step of the way — no matter where you are. Includes: • Two virtual prenatal sessions to discuss your birth history, VBAC preparation, mindset, and comfort techniques • Personalized VBAC birth plan creation and advocacy guidance for communicating effectively with your provider • Educational resources on VBAC safety, labor positions, coping tools, and hospital policies • Unlimited text and email support throughout pregnancy • On-call support from 38 weeks until birth for virtual coaching and encouragement • Continuous virtual support during labor via phone, FaceTime, or video call (as desired) • One postpartum follow-up session for emotional debriefing, lactation guidance, and recovery support This package offers all the encouragement and evidence-based education of doula care—virtually—so you can feel fully prepared and empowered in your VBAC journey.
