Greetings! My name is Christine Scarlett. I am a former pediatric nurse and now a certified birth, sibling, and postpartum doula. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and Gift Registry Advocate. Perhaps my best credential is being the mother of seven adult children and grandmother of many. I have had one cesarean, six VBAC’s, and sadly, one miscarriage. My personal experiences run the gamut of hospital, home, and waterbirth. I have many years of breastfeeding experience and do volunteer work in that field. I homeschooled for many years and still teach in a co-op one morning per week. Other specialties include cloth diapering, babywearing, healthy cooking, and even just laundry services. Contact me for a free interview to see if I can help you meet your unique goals.
I couldn’t have asked for a better doula than Chris! Her calming presence, knowledge, and unwavering support made all the difference in my birth experience. She made me feel strong, safe, and truly cared for. Forever grateful!

As a certified birth doula, I'm passionate about supporting families through the incredible journey of childbirth. Being bilingual in Spanish and English allows me to connect with a diverse range of clients, ensuring everyone feels understood and supported. As a Latina Mexican American, I’m deeply committed to reproductive justice and making sure that every birthing person, regardless of gender, feels safe and respected. My goal is to provide inclusive care that honors each person’s unique experience. When I’m not working, I’m a full-time mom who loves to volunteer and give back to the community. I have a special interest in human milk and chestfeeding, and I’m dedicated to helping parents navigate this important aspect of early parenting. I also enjoy educating parents on safe co-sleeping practices and cloth diapering. Additionally, I offer free emotional support for those considering or undergoing abortions, ensuring they have the compassionate care they need. If there’s something I don’t know, I’ll find the right expert for you. In my downtime, you can often find me enjoying a green tea matcha oat latte with lavender honey, my favorite treat. I’m all about creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Hidaly is a fantastic doula. She is very empathetic and listens to every concern you may have. She is someone I would highly recommend adding to your birth team!

I started Beyond the Bump Cincy Postpartum Doula services to support families in the Greater Cincinnati area about 3 years ago. We help new families get rest, feel more in control, and figure out how they want to parent. We offer non-medical evidence-based services.
Janet and Barb were such a blessing to me! I had my first baby back in December and would not have been able to get through the first 3 months without them! They helped with everything I needed, from cooking to laundry, to just watching my baby while I napped, even bringing my garbage cans in after trash day! Everything I desperately needed help with and didn’t even know I needed it. They are both truly amazing and I will be forever grateful for them!

Jess is a DTI trained full spectrum doula. Jess provides in-home, compassionate support for families into the 4th trimester. As a queer, neurodivergent mother of two, she is uniquely qualified with her training to care for all people on their birth journey. Jess strives to normalize birth and postpartum experiences by sharing evidence-based education and providing empathetic, calm and non-judgemental presence in the postpartum recovery. Jess’s own birth stories inspire and inform her doula work. It is her passion to help parents navigate the transformative process from birth to postpartum with knowledge, coping strategies, bravery and resilience. In her free time Jess is a fiber artist, volunteers with Colors+, is a budding gardener and has a tiny arboretum House plants.
Jess was our night doula for our third baby. We didn’t have a night doula for our first two babies so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. Jess is kind, knowledgeable, loving, and so supportive. She helped me navigate my feeding journey and our daughter’s milk/soy allergy. She communicates with you the nights she’s coming to check in on how you and your baby are doing and provides help and guidance if you need on feeding, sleep, etc. I had postpartum depression with my first two kids and didn’t with my third, and I owe that all to Jess. I was able to sleep more and feel emotionally supported. She also loved our daughter and was very nurturing. I highly recommend her!

Setting up parents for success in their important journey has always been my passion! My degree in Early Childhood Development led me on a path to becoming a professional nanny for ten wonderful years. As I’ve helped many families along the way I’ve learned a thing or two. On top of these experiences, I’ve expanded my expertise with DONA International and Birth Arts International training in postpartum doula work, as well as becoming a Certified Lactation Support Counselor in order to know the latest evidence-based practices on infant care and feeding. With compassion, calm, and caring, I’m there to aid in supporting families in the first year following birth. My role includes educating on responsive baby care and supporting the family through encouragement, feeding, tidying up, and holding space. Whether it’s baby feeding methods or the best safe-sleeping practices, I want to help guide and nurture your family. My goal is to partner with you as parents in order to help your growing family feel as rested and confident as possible.
I received help from Lexi regarding lactation and breastfeeding, which has been an anxiety inducing area as a first time mom. Lexi’s consultation and support helped me tremendously. She is personable, supportive, and holistic, and looked at our situation in the whole picture, not just one portion. I would highly recommend her.

Adding a new baby to your home, whether it was through naturally conceiving, through fertility treatments, surrogacy or adoption, is a life-changing moment and you need support. My team and I can help! You don’t have to start your journey alone! My name is Mary and I am a CAPPA certified postpartum doula with additional training in perinatal nutrition. I was introduced to this amazing work over 20 years ago and realized my true calling is supporting and empowering families during their postpartum transition. I love the outdoors; my hobbies include hiking, kayaking and camping and I am an avid animal lover. I am also a music and trivia nerd. I am a mom and stepmom to five amazing (adult) children and I look forward to the opportunity of serving your family. As postpartum doulas, my team is here to support and guide you as your family explores this new terrain, commonly referred to as the fourth trimester. This term, coined by Dr. Harvey Karp, denotes the 3 months following your baby’s birth and is a time of great physical and emotional change as your baby(ies) adjusts to life outside the womb. It is also the transition period that families undergo as they adjust to life with a new baby. My team takes pride in providing you space to rest, recover, and bond with your new bundle(s) of joy while providing newborn care and tackling household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, dishes etc. I offer non-judgemental, evidence-based support for you and your family as we believe parenthood looks different for every family. Our goals are to instill confidence in your decisions and empower you and your family as you navigate your way through the fourth trimester. Every family deserves care that is evidence-based, emotionally safe and inclusive regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or ability. I am absolutely honored to have the pleasure to serve Dayton, Cincinnati and the surrounding communities.
Mary is very helpful and caring doula. She supported me with tasks around the house and also emotionally. Highly recommend.

Thank you for taking a minute to learn more about me! My name is Cari Walters. After an eight year battle with infertility, including a full year of testing, medications, and numerous hospital visits, I started my own mom Journey. My husband was deployed to Iraq for the birth of our first child. I would have been all alone if it wasn’t for the close-knit military wives (and occasionally my mom who lived out of state) that encircled me during this precious time. If it wasn’t for these women loving on me and advising me before, during, and after my birth, I know it would not have been such a positive experience. I knew at once that I wanted to support and love other moms in the same manner. I started out supporting new moms by being a part of a group called MOPS. My husband returned from war and shortly after we were blessed with a second baby without all the fertility trials. I continued working with moms through the MOPS organization as we moved across the country to Colorado. It was there that I met a beautiful friend and fellow MOPS mentor who introduced me to being a doula. In 2020, after taking the 200hr course with 75hrs of clinical work I began my journey as a full spectrum doula. I absolutely love birth and postpartum work but quickly learned that I really shined on the postpartum side of birth work. I concentrated on obtaining my Newborn Care Specialist certification and Sleep Guide Certification to improve and round out my skills as a postpartum doula.
Cari has been wonderful to work with. Highly recommend. She is very professional, supportive & knowledgeable. She always arrives on time, maybe even a little early. I appreciate that she always leaves a note recapping the night with how much the LO ate, diapers & any comments on sleep or suggestions. My animals also loved Cari and the extra late night pets!

Hi, I'm Victoria, also known as VicTheDoula, and I am the proud owner of The Crowned Nest Doula Company. As a dedicated doula, my mission is to support birthing individuals through their unique pregnancy journeys. Primarily, I offer remote doula services via text, calls, and Zoom meetings, ensuring that you have the guidance and support you need from the comfort of your own home. While I may occasionally offer in-person support on a case-by-case basis, my focus is on providing accessible care tailored to your needs. Though I do not have biological children, I am a loving mom of one and a foster/adoptive parent. My passion for becoming a doula stems from my experiences as a queer woman of color, where I have witnessed firsthand how the medical field can sometimes disadvantage women of color. With rising statistics highlighting these disparities, I felt compelled to advocate for those who may feel voiceless. I proudly support all couples and single parents, and my identity within the LGBTQIA+ community brings a unique perspective to my services. If you're seeking a remote doula who can be a steadfast rock during your time of need, provide valuable resources, and assist you and your partner in your journey to parenthood, I am here for you. Let's embark on this beautiful journey together!
Victoria was my doula for my pregnancy. As my sister I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else besides her to be there with me. Remotely and in person she was an amazing resource. When having complications while laboring doctors were ignoring my concerns. Vic quickly stepped in and had doctors realize something was wrong. Due to her diligence we realized my baby had already passed his meconium and an extra team needed to be present at his birth. I ended up having a c section of 25 hrs of laboring but Vic was right there cheering me on. Her being there for the birth of her nephew was pure magical. Best doula ever.

Hi friend! I am one of the co-founders of The Village Doulas, a group of birth work and child care experts. We aim to create a village around all parents to help them thrive. My background is in Pediatric Nursing and special education, ranging from wellness pediatric care to a specialized ventilator unit, I have seen a lot! I have known for a long time it is my calling and blessing to help others raise their babies. I believe all of my experiences led me to be doing that as a doula today! I can't wait to get to know you!
I started thinking about hiring a night nurse or nanny before I even got pregnant again, but never in a million years did I think I would actually meet someone I felt like I could truly trust with my baby (especially after suffering severe postpartum anxiety with my first) - that was until I met with Kinsey. I immediately felt a connection with her and after chatting for a bit, knew without a doubt I could count on her to care for my baby. Not only did she have the right background, but hearing her “why” behind starting this business helped seal the deal for me. Kinsey truly has a passion for not only caring for babies, but us mamas as well. After Kinsey left our interview, my husband and I decided to sign a 6 week contract with her. During those 6 weeks, she was unavailable for 2 of them due to traveling (this was disclosed ahead of time during our meeting). She let me know she had a couple other options for us to cover for her during that time, although she was the only pediatric RN. Kinsey knew how much this put me at ease, and she even asked if I wanted to meet one of her colleagues at her doctors office to cover for her, which I thought was very thoughtful! However, I decided I would still like to meet her business partner, Kati and see how I felt. Fast forward to my meeting with Kati, and once again, the moment I met her I felt an instant trust and connection. It was within minutes that I knew I could count on her to cover for Kinsey while she was out of town. 6 weeks later, our contract was up and we decided to renew with Kinsey for an additional month. Of course, shortly after signing, our little guy decided he wanted to pretty much sleep through the night (which I also attribute to Kinsey helping with)! While this was amazing for us, it was also a little frustrating as we juuuust extended our contract. However, Kinsey made sure we were still benefitting from her services at this time. She was not only flexible when it came to days/times, but she helped me with so many projects on my to-do list that I just could never get to caring for a toddler and a newborn - and she put genuine effort and thought into the help too! She helped me with an amazing toy rotation/organization system for my toddler, meal prepped quick and easy meals and snacks for her that I could freeze, and even helped me update all of our photo frames in the living room. Whether she was doing overnight sleep care or something else for us, she truly wanted to make sure she was helping to make this postpartum period as stress free as possible for us as a family. I truly believe that because of Kinsey (and Kati), I escaped postpartum anxiety fueled by lack of sleep this time around. I was able to truly enjoy the newborn stage as a well rested mom without feeling utterly exhausted for months on end like I did the first time around. I was able to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to actually enjoy the day with both my newborn and my 2 year old. My husband and I weren’t snapping on each other from being so tired and waking up all night with a fussy baby. While I know it is a bit of a luxury to be able to hire this kind of help, it is worth every.single.penny. Whether you already have the funds to do it or you have to make certain sacrifices to do it, I’d recommend Kinsey and her services a MILLION times over. You just can’t put a price on rest and mental health (especially during those first few months) and having someone you can truly trust to care for your baby is priceless. 10/10 would recommend Kinsey and The Village Doulas.

Hi- Im Kate! I have been babysitting since I was 12 (I started with new born twins!!) and have sat for different families since. I have helped with twins, triplets and have watched over children from the age of a few days to teens. I was a career nanny for over 10 years working for many profession families (including NFL players!) before having my own children (they are 4 and 2 now!). I love working with new families and am look forward to working nights, weekends, overnights and for travel. While I am working on my newborn care specialist training, I am very interested in working with families with newborns for overnights as a night nurse or extra help on weekends or evenings.
Kate worked with our family for 6 years. She started when our oldest was 12 weeks old. We also had another child that she helped care for right after he was born. We are truly blessed to have Kate as a part of our family for so many years! I trusted her completely with every aspect of childcare and our boys still talk about her often. Her calm, patient demeanor brought a sense of peace to a sometimes hectic household! Kate was always reliable and flexible when we needed. I would highly recommend Kate to any family looking for someone to care for their little ones!

The days and weeks after you welcome your baby into your family are so precious. My goal as your postpartum doula is to help make those moments as enjoyable as possible by empowering you to be the best parent(s) you can be. This can look like a lot of things -- feeding support, taking care of baby while you rest/eat/shower, light housework, and providing a discerning and empathetic ear. Generally, I provide mindful and loving support in family wellness, newborn feeding, and newborn care. As your postpartum doula, my number one priority will be encouraging the self-determination of your family. No one knows your baby more than you -- I am not there to tell you how to parent, but rather to provide practical, informational, and emotional support as you learn how to integrate your new baby into your family. Please check out my website or DoulaMatch profile for testimonials! https://breathing-room.webflow.io

Hey there, my name is Jasmine Johnston and I’m from Cincinnati, OH. I am a Full Spectrum Doula and Wholistic infant feeding and lactation consultant. I am a proud gardener and crocheter. I also enjoy yoga, herbalism, vegan food, and wholistic health. I’m not new to care taking, I Have 10 Nieces and Nephews and I’ll always say my younger sister was my first baby. However, it was through my first born that I was reborn myself. While pregnant, I gained a passion for birthwork and gardening. In gardening, each seed knows exactly what to do when given the right environment to flourish. I believe in that philosophy for birthing people. I aim to support women in their fully informed power and connection to self through the ancestral ways of breastfeeding, birthing, and wholistic wellness.
