After a successful 15 year career in nonprofit fundraising and international higher education, I found my life’s purpose in supporting growing families during one of the most life changing event, childbirth. My doula journey started in 2017 and I quickly integrated my years of yoga practice into my doula services by completing my 200-hour and prenatal yoga teacher training in 2018 and my traditional Thai massage training in 2019. My services are rooted in my Buddhist upbringing and the belief in using our innate abilities and the abundant resources we have to face life's challenges with full consent, faith and fortitude.

My name is Janee and I live in Cypress with my husband, Jake and our 4 daughters- Olivia, Sophia, Avery, and Harper. After the birth of my first daughter, I realized how underprepared I was for labor. I looked back on my experience unhappy with the things that were ‘done to me,’ rather than being able to make educated decisions based on evidence and my maternal instincts. During my second pregnancy, I knew I wanted to be more prepared and have a completely different birth experience. I did a lot of research on evidence-based practices and created an ideal vision for what I wanted this next birth to look like. After my dream birth, I immediately felt justified for wanting more for myself AND my baby. I had a newfound sense of empowerment as a mother. Ever since, I knew I wanted to be a part of this amazing birth community to help other families feel this same joy.
