Melanie Guymon is a superb doula. She spent nights with our little bub for 2+months, she gave us a reprieve and support during the difficult newborn days hard. We had a colicky baby and Melanie not only helped us advocate to our doctors that our baby might have reflux, but she also gave us superb tips on how to help ease her discomfort at night and during the day.  During her time with us Melanie also helped us prepare our baby to move out of the swaddle, and due to her tips, our baby seamlessly transitioned from her Snoo + bassinet and into her crib and a sleep sack. She continued to support us with sleep coaching as well, helping us with our babies sleep schedule, which has allowed our baby to sleep better than all of our other baby friends in a similar age range. We had Melanie start with us around the 6 week mark due to our postpartum schedule, and she was with us until just under 4 months. We could not have done this journey without her.

Melanie was amazing with our second child. I was originally due in at the end of November but sweet girl decided to make a 4 week early entrance! She was very helpful that first month of being second time parents! She is super knowledgeable and validated our feelings and thoughts on everything baby! Her compassion is top notch! I would recommend Melanie to everyone I know.

Melanie is GEM! My husband and I are so grateful we had her support during my delivery and her continued support postpartum. I had a very intense birth and it was scary. We’re so grateful Melanie was there to help us navigate a very challenging situation, especially as first time parents. We cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Melanie! We appreciate you so much.

Melanie was a fantastic resource before, during, and after my delivery. Having a high risk pregnancy, I wanted all the support I could get, and Melanie had the knowledge, experience, and confidence to provide that.

Melanie was a fantastic resource before, during, and after my delivery. Having a high risk pregnancy, I wanted all the support I could get, and Melanie had the knowledge, experience, and confidence to provide that. She answered all my questions, offered additional info on things I hadn't thought of (which was useful for me as a first time mom), and quickly provided resources to help me make decisions about specific issues. As a science-minded person, I appreciated her focus on evidence-based resources. I strongly recommend her for childbirth support.

As first time parents navigating the complexities of natural birth, my husband and I are incredibly grateful that Melanie was a part of our birth experience. When I first spoke with Melanie I knew that she was the right choice for us.

As first time parents navigating the complexities of natural birth, my husband and I are incredibly grateful that Melanie was a part of our birth experience. When I first spoke with Melanie I knew that she was the right choice for us. Her energy was calm and she brought the right balance to the table: evidence-based information and an understanding of the profound, transformative power of birth. Her values of inclusion for all people were also important to us. Melanie’s prenatal visit, where she answered our questions and walked us through what to expect, helped to calm our nerves. During early labor, her presence and knowledge of Spinning Babies techniques helped me push through. She came over, guided me through a handful of exercises, and a few hours later it was time for us to head to the hospital. In our birthing suite, she was on standby to do whatever I needed. She massaged my sore body, helped make sure my husband was taking care of himself, and advocated for my right to give consent. After our baby was born she helped us get our first latch for breastfeeding. I will forever cherish the photographs she took, particularly a video of my husband holding his child for the first time. Melanie’s postpartum support, as a first time parent with no family in the area, has been crucial. I texted her an SOS message one morning and she came for a visit later that afternoon to guide us through all the things we were struggling with. Even though her service for us is technically complete, I have reached out to her several times for help, and she has responded with a genuine attitude of care and support. All around, Melanie brought stability to an otherwise hectic time for our family. We would absolutely recommend her doula services for anyone looking for a natural birth experience.

If you could create the perfect person to entrust your newborn baby with, it would be Melanie. She was so kind, loving, observant, and diligent. We communicated great right from the start. She prioritized my mental health and sleep as the mother along with the care of our baby. The nights she worked with us were just incredible. I will recommend her to every expecting person I know.
