About me

Hey there! My name is Lisa Jordan. I am a passionate Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Life Coach supporting families in Des Moines, Iowa. I began my motherhood journey in 2017 and after experiencing first-hand the challenges (and triumphs!) that come with motherhood, I found my calling to support other moms in their own motherhood journeys. I launched the Midwest Mama in 2019 have been happily supporting families ever since! My mission is to provide the individualized support and education all families deserve so that you can feel empowered in your choices with pregnancy, birth, and beyond. When I’m not attending a birthday party or birth community event, you can usually find me with my family! My husband and I have two boys (ages 7 and 3) and a new addition on the way. We love exploring all of the activities our city has to offer, thrifting, and scoping out new coffee shops.
