Leslye is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who understands the weight and frustration of needing help but not knowing where to turn first. That's why her mission is simple: give her clients the wellness education, tools, and resources that they need to identify the cause of their problems, understand the processes to fix them, and put a plan together that's personalized and effective. What to expect from a prenatal consultation: First, I’ll get to know your pregnancy history and learn about previous infant feeding experiences (it's ok if you haven't ever fed a baby before!). For the prenatal session I offer:​ breastfeeding education including the benefits to you and baby positioning tips and demonstrations common breastfeeding problems and their solutions help with setting up and using your breast pump, including ensuring you have the correct flange size provide a care plan based on the assessment that will guide you for the start of your breastfeeding journey help you feel able and empowered to achieve the first latch in those precious moments after birth What to expect from a postpartum consultation: First, I’ll get to know your birth and feeding history and conduct a physical examination. check baby for oral restrictions address how to increase and/or maintain milk supply assess baby at breast work with mom and baby to achieve comfortable positioning and effective latch weigh the baby before and after a feeding help with setting up and using your breast pump, including ensuring you have the correct flange size provide a care plan based on the assessment that will guide you for the next few days/weeks help you feel able and empowered to meet your baby’s needs with practical tools and non-judgmental, empathetic support
