About me

Hi! I’m Jen and I pride myself on my gentle treatment of parents and babies, which is how I came up with my practice name: Jentle Lactation. With nearly 20 years of experience, I offer warm, caring, personalized support for all kinds of feeding concerns — including latch and positioning, milk supply, infant weight gain, sore nipples or breasts, pumping, tongue tie, returning to work, and so much more. I’m a mom of three and faced some significant challenges while breastfeeding my babies, but also learned first hand how rewarding the breastfeeding experience can be. I live on Long Island with my family and our tabby cat, and enjoy podcasts, fantasy novels, and yoga.

Jennifer has been amazing. She is knowledgeable and resourceful. Always organized and her notes are extremely detailed. She has 3 kids of her own so she deeply understands a mother’s journey. Does home visits and is covered by insurance.

Jennifer has been so helpful and supportive! She’s incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to and work with, which has made this whole process feel much less overwhelming. She comes prepared and always has helpful tools and ideas ready depending on what we’re working on. One thing I especially appreciate is that she sends detailed notes after our sessions so I don’t have to remember everything myself later (which has been huge during the newborn stage). I’ve really appreciated her guidance and support and would definitely recommend working with her.

Highly recommend! I reached out after I was getting clogged ducts and frequent engorgement. Jennifer helped me figure out a plan that worked best for me and my and my baby's needs and I've been able to successfully exclusively breastfeed as a result. I've starting donating milk this week as well which is especially exciting because before I gave birth I didn't think I was going to breastfeed at all.

Jennifer was amazing when she came to my home to help me breastfeed my twins! She was patient and a calm presence in the midst of crazy times. And she takes insurance as an added bonus! Highly recommend!
