About me

Hello! My name is Jamilia or Mila, and I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula with a deep-rooted passion for supporting families through the sacred seasons of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I’ve been a birth doula for 9 years and a postpartum doula for 5 years, and my journey began at just 20 years old when I was called to my very first birth while still in training. With no prior experience, I leaned into instinct—and I’ve been following that intuition ever since. Over the years, I’ve supported families through all types of births—hospital births, home births, VBACs, and C-sections. I also hold certifications as a holistic sleep specialist, which allows me to support parents with gentle, responsive sleep solutions that align with their values and their baby’s needs. When I’m not supporting families in person, I’m supporting them online through the Forpartum app—my labor of love, which I created and founded to revolutionize postpartum wellness. My approach is heart-centered and grounded in connection. I believe in building trust early, often beginning support around 20 weeks, and I strive to offer a nurturing, judgment-free space where every parent feels seen, safe, and supported. When I’m not holding space for others, you can find me enjoying quiet moments with my child and husband, diving deep into postpartum wellness research, graphic designing, dancing, hiking, building up Forpartum, or spending time in nature.
